Zombozo appears as a member of the Separatists, being from Earth. He has a unique power, the art of persuasion. He is able to talk any foe into submission, even able to cause Brago and John to doubt themselves. Those two, along with Tack, are the only characters so far able to resist his persuation. He has his clown powers as well. After invading Hathor, John is tasked with capturing him. After his forces lose hope, he is forced to scare Zombozo into submission.
He appears in an alternate dimension prison.
He reappears as a Knight in the New Chess Pieces. He later reveals that he had been allied with Albedo and Vilgax. They betray Phantom, and take the Warmatrix. Afterwards, Zombozo becomes the new King of the New Chess Pieces, ruling the zombies. He is defeated by Tack, and his zombie army is reverted by Eddy and Animo.
Zombozo appears as a carnival runner, holding Gwen as a "slave". He is defeated and Gwen rescued. He later returns and captures Sakura. He is defeated, and is presumed dead after a large fall.
Zombozo appears in a circus, distracting the city while his followers raided the city. Ryder was slightly freaked out by clowns, but after defeating him, he gets over it.
Zombozo appears in a dream, in Jane's nightmare, revealing she is scared of clowns. He makes a physical appearance after being hired by Morpheus to scare Jane. He turns the city of Bellwood into Zombie Clowns, in an attempt to scare her. She overcomes the fear, and defeats him and the Circus Freaks.
