Plot[]
The episode begins with Zorian walking down the aisle and saying goodnight to the villains that were kept in overnight, being Fistina, Fistrick and eventually Dr. Animo. Animo was performing experiments on his plushie collection as Zorian would shrug it off as Animo just being as crazy as ever. Once Zorian left the scene, Animo would begin to ramble on about his failed attempts to take over the planet as he is caught off guard by one of his stuffed animals being fully sentient. With the stuffed animal (the stuffed animal with a human head on a gorilla body) makes his way towards Animo, he makes the claim that they are breaking out. The sentient stuffed animal tells Animo that he is in need to take something worth their experiment, that he claims is doomed to fail in the future, as the stuffed animal (who reveals himself to be Animo from the future) hopes Animo doesn't fail this time, as they successfully break out of the cell.
Loud ruckus and noise disturbs the inmates as Animo breaks out of his cell and making his exit and attacking other Plumbers by using his stuffed animal companion as ammunition by firing laser blasts from his eyes. Successfully making a departure, Patelliday calls for Ben and Rook to catch the escaped convict. Changing the scene to Burger Shack, Ben sits with Rook inside the Proto-TRUK as Ben would get a call from Patelliday that Animo had broken out of his cell, and comments how Animo has himself a stuffed animal laser blaster. Ben responds to the message that he'd sort out the crazy scientist. Cutting back to Animo, Animo is met with his future self as his future self plans to forge a security breach by breaking into the S.E.C.T. Headquarters and stealing what his future self reveals to be the A.R.C. Project. Breaking into the headquarters, sirens blare off immediately as the two crazy scientists would make their way across to find the A.R.C. Project, resulting in Lieutenant Steel to contact Ben that two crazy scientists have broken into their headquarters.
Ben and Rook drive off to the S.E.C.T. Headquarters as Ben comments how he hadn't been in contact with Steel for six years, marking it as a very, very long time since they spoke to one another. Rook claims he is unfamiliar with the S.E.C.T. Team as Ben would vividly remember that they used to capture aliens and send them off to Area 51, but isn't sure as to what they do now. The heroes soon arrive to the headquarters as they would find the S.E.C.T. Team firing lasers at Dr. Animo and his future self, as Ben comments how he hadn't met him in six years either, claiming it as a whole time travelling thing. Ben and Rook intervene with the fight as Ben transforms into Ditto and duplicates himself in order to take on the villains easier.
The mini horde of Ditto clones would begin to target the mad scientists while Rook would join in on the fight and attack Dr. Animo. Laughing about how Ben's choice of a transformation, future Dr. Animo successfully whacks the clones further down the large room as he snatches the A.R.C. Project, just before Rook swoops in and lunges himself at future Animo, taking the A.R.C. Project. Ditto clones would morph back into one as Ditto would get struck down once again by present day Animo who would leap at Rook and snatch the project, as Ditto would switch into Gutrot on accident after claiming that he needed to go bigger. Startled on his new form, Gutrot would try and figure out his powers as the two scientists would flee the scene successfully just after kicking Rook further down. Gutrot would almost knock everyone in the same room out once he would figure out his powers are gas based. Rook suggests not to make a move since his attacks are also flammable, as Gutrot would transform back in a panic.
The scene transitions to Animo and future Animo heading to a warehouse where they would begin their plans to take over the world. Curious, Animo explains what the A.R.C. Project is for, as future Animo explains that the project contains numerous DNA samples from all the animals in the world and is needed in the event of an apocalypse or a cataclysmic disaster. Future Animo then addresses that their plan is to create a mutated army with those DNA samples, as Animo would get excited to finish his plan once and for all. Eventually entering the warehouse to set their plan into motion, Animo would activate the lights as he would take the A.R.C. Project and get ready to use it for their plans of world domination.
Meanwhile, Ben and Rook are seen driving down the road of downtown Bellwood. Ben would brag about their defeat as he would admit that he was at fault for not getting to Animo and future Animo fast enough. Rook ressures him that he too was at fault for not getting to them fast enough, with Ben claiming that Rook did more than what he could've ever done during their mission. With Ben staring at the window, watching cars go past along with buildings and trees, Rook would suggest for Ben to test out his new alien, as Ben would argue that he would rather fight them as different aliens, going so far to say he would rather fight them as Frankenstrike or Insense if he wanted to, but Rook counter-argues, saying that Gutrot's abilities would be benefitial due to his expertise at chemicals that could be used to their advantage. Ben would soon go along with using Gutrot, as they would arrive to Los Soledad almost an hour later.
Successfully arriving at Los Soledad, Ben jumps out of the Proto-TRUK as he would dial the Omnitrix and transform into Gutrot again, moving his arms out to test out his various gases. Rook would call himself the test dummy, as Gutrot would apologise if any of the gases damage his fur or put him at serious risk of death. Rook would take note of those risks as Gutrot would begin to spray Rook wish a blue-tinted gas that struck Rook and mildly froze him in ice, with Rook brushing off the ice flakes. Rook would grab a pair of matches as he would light a fire, tasking Gutrot to either put out the flame or to make the fire more aggressive. Gutrot would spray a gas as it would put out the fire, with Rook then grabbing out a gas mask and tasking Ben to create a scenario where Rook would have to find Ben in heavy gas clouds. Gutrot casts a heavy gas cloud as Rook would lose vision of Gutrot, who would traverse through the clouds, causing Rook to lose focus. With Rook soon finding Gutrot, Gutrot reabsorbs the gas as he stores it inside his chemical tank before transforming back into Ben.
Ben is contacted by Lieutenant Steel to track Animo and his future self, as Ben and Rook would enter the Proto-TRUK and drive off to their whereabouts. Ben is glad he got to figure out Gutrot's abilities faster, as he would claim he'd use him when the time is right. Rook is glad about this revelation, just almost an hour before arriving at Steel's location with his team. Steel mentions that they are unable to track Animo and his future self due to not having both the good sense of smell and a powerful enough tracking device. Ben mocks their lack of technology as he would transform into Porkcrop, who uses his senses to track down Animo and future Animo. Rook, Lieutenant Steel and Steel's gang would follow the Muroid, who would soon speed up to find the two scientists faster.
Cutting to Animo and future Animo's warehouse, they would begin to experiment with the DNA samples, just before getting caught by Porkcrop, Rook and the others. Animo tells them that they're too late as his mutants would come to life. Bursting through the seals that kept them contained, Animo and future Animo watch in astonishment as they witness the birth of their creations. Porkcrop and the others would begin to fight the mutant animals as Porkcrop would roll around in his ball to dodge flame blasts generated from the mutant giraffe. Rook would target the few handful of mutants, while S.E.C.T. and Lieutenant Steel would target the rest. Porkcrop soon reaches Animo as he would try to fight, but, despite his size, he gets overpowered by future Animo as he transforms back. Rook suggests for Ben to use Gutrot, as Ben claims that now is not the perfect time, as he transforms into TenTen.
TenTen uses his speed and agility to attack Animo whilst leaping over and around in order to attack the mutants, who would get taken down with ease, thanks to Ben using a different alien. Rook, the S.E.C.T. team and Steel would continue to take down the mutants, just before future Animo steps into play and would whack Rook and the others aside, leaving space for TenTen and him to fight. TenTen would strike in all sorts of directions before future Animo strikes an opening in TenTen's methods of combat, as the Sotoraggian would get slammed on the ground and thrown at the wall, causing him to transform back.
Rook gets up from getting smacked earlier as he would suggest Ben to transform into Gutrot, as he would eventually transform into him. Gutrot would then tell everyone to get out of the warehouse as he'd begin to spray the entire area with a gas that neutralises the flames generated from the mutant giraffe, who would get knocked out by Gutrot's knockout gas. Future Animo would begin to strike as Gutrot would get knocked due to his low agility and low reflexes. Soon, Gutrot sprays future Animo with laughing gas as he would get distracted from his forced laugher, which soon made way to Animo after Gutrot sprays again. With the two villains getting distracted by theit forced laugher, Gutrot then knocks them out with knockout gas, as he would then use the same gas to defeat the mutated animals.
As the fight came to a close, the camera cuts to the Plumbers taking both Animo and future Animo into custody, while Gutrot (who then transformed back into Ben) and Rook stood around and watched. Steel thanks Ben and Rook for taking down the two mad scientists as Ben would thank Steel for calling him and Rook to deal with them both. With Steel getting back the A.R.C. Project, Rook turns to face Ben as he would admit that using a Muroid, who is a pest to his people, to track down Animo was a smart idea. Ben would admit that he wants to use Porkcrop more often, as the episode would end with Ben and Rook getting into the Proto-TRUK after Rook suggests hanging in Mr. Smoothy, with Ben denying the offer as he just wants to go home and get some rest.

Trivia[]
- This episode is a rewritten version and a parody of the Omniverse episode: Animo Crackers.
- Coincidentally, both this episode and Animo Crackers are Gutrot's debut episode.
- Ben mentions some things that correlate with the continuity, like:
- It had been six years since Lieutenant Steel contacted him, with their first and only encounter being in the Original Series episode: Framed.
- It had been six years since ever seeing future Dr. Animo, with their only encounter being in the Original Series episode: Ben 10,000.
- This episode's name is wordplay on both the word "gas" and the phrase "your guess is as good as mine".
- This episode is the second episode that uses wordplay, with the first episode being Your Fans and Mine.
- In the episode's planning phase, Porkcrop's scene was supposed to go to Wildmutt. This was changed due to Benzarro85 wanting to expand on Porkcrop's abilities, and how he wasn't made just to debunk Albedo's claim back in Revonnah.
