Plot[]
The episode begins with the camera panning down to face civilians after facing the bright, beaming sun. The civilians were all dressed in their outdoor clothing, as a car comes into frame, revealling the driver to be a tall brunette man with sideburns and scruffy hair. Two other men pop out of the car as one of them, wearing glasses, would complain about his driving. The guy with sideburns shouts at him and tells him that they got to where they needed to go, in order to get some things for his cat named Jambo. The short man, also with glasses, assures the guy (who is Schlatt) that he needs to calm down, and not everything has to be resolved with violence.
The three men enter the pet shop as Jschlatt comes across some cat nip and other things, while the other two (Ted and Charlie) were distracted by a TV that broadcasted what appeared to be two aliens (Rook and Goop) fighting against a rogue Sunder, as Ted would point out that they have spotted Ben Tennyson on TV. Not interested, Schlatt continues to purchase utensils and supplies for Jambo, before checking out at the cash register. By the time Schlatt finishes his purchasing, Ted wishes to have Ben 10 come over to Texas, as Schlatt would laugh about the idea, calling Ben 10 a kid, and how he wouldn't be able to handle being in Texas. Ted shrugs it off as he assumed it was just Schlatt being miserable and negative again.
The camera transitions to Bellwood, just after the fight had finished. Ben wishes he could just go travel and not have to deal with fighting bad guys, claiming it to be nothing but just a chore. Rook would cheer him up by suggesting that they go to Mr. Smoothy, but Ben turns it down by suggesting they go somewhere random, somewhere like Nevada or Texas, as Rook would tell him that he is irritated by the heat. Ben would think of an idea, insisting that he could cool him down as Big Chill, mentioning he did it to Reinrassig III when they were stranded on a desert. Rook insists that he'll try and survive the deadly heat, claiming that it doesn't get that hot in Revonnah. Ben remembers visiting, and wishes to go again when they have the chance.
Rook and Ben jump into the Proto-TRUK as they would get ready to go to Texas after Ben decided to go to Texas, not aware of what's going to happen during his time there. Ben makes a joke to Rook that he'd die if he were to accidentally turn into a bat out in the desert, as Rook would laugh, telling him that he should put on some suncream, which make Ben burst out laughing, happy to know that Rook can crack some jokes. They begin to start their journey, as Ben would calm himself down and thank Rook for brightening up his day, as Rook returns the favour.
By the time the duo had arrived to Austin, they were ambushed by a heatwave so bad they could feel the sweat dripping from their foreheads. Rook would feel irritated by the horrible heat, while Ben asks if he'd like him to cool him down. With Rook accepting the offer, knowing he refused earlier, Ben transforms into Big Chill, as he'd cool him down by shooting a cold gust of wind from his mouth. He'd eventually turn back into Ben, before he suggests having a look around on what to do in Texas. They'd soon find an icecream parlour, as they'd run over, the opposite end, after making sure there were no cars on the road. After grabbing himself an ice cream, and one for Rook, Schlatt, Ted and Charlie catch their attention to him, which sparked a few people to get their attention. Ben is irritated, mentioning how he thought his identity was kept a secret, as Rook would mention that they must've known his identity through Jimmy Jones, as Ben would believe it wouldn't be the case since he promised he wouldn't go out and expose his hero identity.
Ted would run up to Ben as Schlatt and Charlie would chase after him, while Ben (who had accidentally transformed into Ditto when wanting to go XLR8) tells Rook to grab him and run away from the sudden ambush, not wanting to deal with any sort of paparazzi. Schlatt would soon catch Ted as he'd slam him against the wall, shouting at him for how he's so obsessed on wanting to get Ben's autograph, complaining about Ted's sudden urge to get Ben's attention. Charlie would agree with Schlatt as he would call Ted out for his behaviour, knowing Ben would not go along with signing his autograph, but Ted would call out the amount of times Schlatt would be downright disrespectful towards members of different religions. Schlatt would get annoyed at how Ted was not holding accountability, as Rook would end up at a certain part of the road, letting go of Ditto, who transformed back. Rook asks Ben why he acted the way he did, as Ben would tell him that they just ambushed him without warning, which made him act out like that. Rook would suggest heading back, as Ben would tell him he'd like to look around some more.
The scene transitions to a desert just a few miles away from the local town area of Austin, Texas, as Ben and Rook would sit in the Proto-TRUK with the AC on, knowing it didn't do much for them. Ben would complain that he is bored, while Rook would give Ben the idea of digging up things from the ground. Agreeing to the idea, Ben jumps out of the Proto-TRUK and transforms into Wildmutt, searching for anything that was buried underground by using his enhanced scent. His scent eventually leads him to find a suitcase containing a huge stack of cash. Wildmutt transforms back into Ben and tells Rook that he found a suitcase, and attached to it, was a note written by somebody unnamed.
Reading the note, Ben is tasked to give it back to whoever buried it in the first place, as Ben is confused as to why someone would want to bury that certain amount of money anyway. Rook asks Ben if he could rewind time and find out whoever planted such events, as Ben would admit that wasn't such a bad idea. Transforming into Clockwork and rewinding time, they are exposed to Rojo, Amarillo and Azul, as Clockwork would question why they were in Texas in the first place. Transforming back, Ben and Rook would hop back into the Proto-TRUK and drive off in search for Rojo and her squad.
The scene transitions to Rojo and her squad exiting a buffet place as they would agree on how some of the food was delicious. Upon hearing the Proto-TRUK, and Ben's voice shouting in the distance, they would grab their motorcycles and flee the scene, resulting in Ben to try and slow them down. Ben plans to short circuit their motorcycles as he transforms into Feedback. The Conductoid would lower his window and fire bolts of electricity that were capable of slowing down the vehicles. But unfortunately, he missed, as he'd climb out the Proto-TRUK and chase after them on the wires on the wooden lampposts.
Eventually catching the villains, Feedback jumps down as he would crash into Rojo and her vehicle, causing them both to tumble and fall. Azul and Amarillo would jump out of their vehicles and attack Feedback, until Rook jumps into scene and demands them to surrender. Rojo would cackle and hold them both at gunpoint, along with the two other punk girls, leaving Feedback (who transformed back) and Rook outnumbered. Forced to surrender, Rojo would send them to their hideout somewhere in Texas, that not even Ben was familiar with. Ben and Rook, were held captive, as the scene ends.
The next scene opens to Ben and Rook waking up to find themselves cuffed against a wall as Rojo would notice they're awake. Ben would question her motives as she would explain that it was a distraction in order to persue her dream of wanting to have Schlatt, Ted and Charlie notice her. Ben calls them out to Rojo by telling her that they chased after him, but Rojo explains that the only reason of their actions is because of his hero status. Rojo claims to be a fan of their content as she would admit that Schlatt has a really cute cat named Jambo. Ben would admit that he felt bad by acting such a douche, as he would activate the Omnitrix by voice command and transforms into PatchUp after claiming that Rojo's actions still weren't justified, as he would detatch his arm off and allow it to break him and Rook free from the clutches of Rojo, who didn't let it slide. She would chase after PatchUp who, in return, separate more limbs and use them to fight against Rojo, and eventually, Azul and Amarillo.
PatchUp would reattach his limbs together as he would attempt to subdue Rojo, who would break free from the clutches and make him more vulnerable by ripping off his arms herself. PatchUp calls for Rook to signal Jschlatt's arrival, as Rook would shoot an energy rod from his Proto-Tool that had transformed into a bow, as the rod pierced through something explosive, setting off a loud bang as the camera had transitioned to Jschlatt, Ted and Charlie driving in the car before hearing a loud bang from the distance. The vehicle races to the location, as the camera pans to a destroyed building, Rojo, Azul and Amarillo scattered on the floor, and Ben (as Gravattack) shielding Rook from the explosion. They all would get up as Gravattack reverts to Ben, before they are seen by the three adult men. Jschlatt was asking question after question about not only the explosion, but the destruction of the building. Ben would explain that Rojo is a villain and how she did this to receive the attention of him and the two others. Rojo felt bad about the end result as she would apologise to Schlatt, Ted, Charlie, Ben and Rook for the overall cause of the situation. Rook brings up the suitcase, as Rojo would clarify that she stole it from Jschlatt in order to bring Ben and Rook to her, as well as the three guys for a huge group selfie.
Ben would walk over to Ted as he apologises for acting the way he did earlier as Ted would apologise how he acted irrational and selfish for only caring about the autograph, that he called stupid. Ben, in return, would give him an autograph, as he would be asked about Gwen and Max, with Ben replying with that Gwen has gone to college, and that Max is just doing Max things. With Ted happy to receive the autograph, Rojo grabs her phoneas they would all group up together as Rojo takes the photo, kissing her girlfriend Azul, as the episode ends.
