Powers and Abilities[]
Way Small's primary abilities is to generate yellow portals to any location within his line of sight, in which he and only he can enter. An interesting mechanic about these portals is that they can teleport Way Small to any location at a much smaller size, including human skin.
Whenever Way Small enters his portals, everything around him would appear as a landscape in his perspective, though he is technically the same size as he was when he entered the portal. However, others would see Way Small at a much smaller size, making it appear as if Way Small had shrunk down to appear on the surface he teleports to. He can still teleport without changing his size.
While shrunk down, Way Small seems to generate his own form of gravity, allowing him to stand on vertical structures as if it were the ground. An advantage to this is that he can jump on vertical surfaces and land on that same surface instead of falling back to the true position of Earth's gravity.
Way Small can return to his original size by entering a portal while shrunk down. However, if a part of him enters that portal, only that part will be returned to its original size, enabling him to enlarge anything that passes through the portals. He can also use this offensively, as he can create long ranged attacks by sending body parts at his enemies such as his fists and attack from a safe distance via his portals.
Because of his small size, Way Small possesses enhanced speed, agility and reflexes, which all can be amplified thanks to his teleporting powers making him even smaller. This enables Way Small to evade much larger aliens, and prepare for surprise attacks, as well as making him an excellent alien for scouting.
Despite his small size, Way Small possesses a degree of enhanced strength, enabling him to damage his enemies even while shrunk down. He can also combine his teleporting powers and his speed to add to his strength, to the point where he can damage a To'kustar by jumping through a portal and hitting it.
Way Small possesses a degree of enhanced durability due to his metal-like physique, enabling him to survive falls and hits at any size he is in. He can also cannonball into enemies with mild discomfort if he uses his teleporting powers.
Way Small is skilled in hand-to-hand combat, in which he is made a much more capable fighter by using his portals in combat, often using them to dodge or do surprise attacks.
Because his teleporting powers involve his line of sight, Way Small has a degree of enhanced vision, which enables him to see much farther locations as if he was using binoculars, as well as see small objects while he is in his base height.
Due to the nature of his species, Way Small possesses a visor that enables him to survive in the vacuum of space. He is also capable of using his portals for quick interstellar travel, albeit in short bursts, and can survive extreme amounts of heat and radiation.
Way Small can use his portals to escape objects he is immobilised in, such as adhesives or being grappled.
By rapidly generating portals wherever he is located at, Way Small can make it look as if he can alter his size at will when in reality, he is actually entering and reentering multiple portals. He uses this as a way to catch his enemies off-guard if they are unfamiliar with his powers.
Weaknesses[]
As stated above, Way Small's teleportation depends on his line of sight, meaning that he won't be able to teleport to areas he is unable to see, nor when he is blinded. Additionally, only Way Small has access to these portals, meaning that he couldn't use his portals to transport people or objects.
While he can shrink with his portals, Way Small is unable to grow bigger than his base size. As such, his smaller size will make it harder to fight against larger opponents, though he compensates for this weakness with his portal skills.
In order to teleport, Way Small himself must enter these portals, as they remain static in the area they are conjured in until he enters them. As such, he would be unable to teleport if he is unable to move.
While his body isn't fully metallic, Way Small can still be harmed by electricity. He is also vulnerable to high pitched noises, which worsen if he is a smaller size.
When incapacitated, Way Small will automatically revert back to his normal size.
When Way Small turns back into Ben, he has to be careful of the areas he is in as he will be at his base height once the Omnitrix times out, which may leave Ben stuck in small areas.
History[]
- Way Small first appeared in Miniature Combat, where he was forcefully unlocked by Idon hacking the Omnitrix to fight a Way Bad. As he was never seen before by Ben, Way Small spent half of the time trying to evade the Way Bad before figuring out his powers, which he then managed to battle the Way Bad with. He would've defeated it too had Slix Vigma not turned him into Dummy Bag.

- Way Small can also be seen as an equal to Nanomech, as he is capable of shrinking, albeit in a much different manner.
- Way Small's fighting style slightly parody that of the Marvel Cinematic Universe version of Ant-Man.
- His portals are yellow versions of the Sling Rings generated by Doctor Strange from the same universe.
- Way Small slightly resembles Powerpipe.
