Vilgax is an intergalactic alien warlord and conqueror who serves as Ben's archenemy and is a villain across the Rewri-10 franchise. He first appeared in First Contact in the series Rewri-10. They are a Chimera Sui Generis from the planet Vilgaxia.
Appearance[]
Vilgax is a humanoid creature with a face resembling that of an octopus. He has tentacles dangling in the front of his face, like a beard. His skin is pale-green with yellowish spots on his face and tentacles. He doesn't have a nose and a visible ear. He has red eyes.
Before and during his confrontation with Xylene in the beginning of First Contact, Vilgax wore a black and red-brownish armored suit and gloves. His armor is spiked at the shoulder and arm pads. He has green sacs on the sides of his head. His mouth was attached to the sacs by a respirator however injuries in the fight left him to require a regeneration pod.
Personality[]
A cruel, galactic warlord known as "the most dangerous being in the universe". Vilgax's singular goal is to acquire the Omnitrix and exploit its technology to build an army capable of transforming into aliens at his command, then use that power to conquer the entire universe.
Vilgax is one of the most feared beings in the universe, having conquered several worlds, destroyed five others, and created a black hole. He has such a fearful reputation, almost no sentient life-form is willing to work for him (apart from Psyphon), forcing him to use armies of bioids and Mechadroids, obedient machines programmed to serve him as his crew and soldiers. However, Vilgax is capable of hiring mercenaries, if he can meet their price.
Throughout his entire pursuit for absolute power, Vilgax is not willing to let anyone or anything stand in his way, and would get revenge on anyone who defeated him before.
History[]
Prior to the beginning of the series, Vilgax was Azmuth's friend and worked as his assistant, helping him with the creation of the Omnitrix. However, Vilgax went down a darker path upon developing an obsession of weaponizing the Omnitrix, stealing it from Azmuth's lab and using it to go on a warpath across the universe. Azmuth could not let his creation be used this way, prompting him to use the Omnitrix to absorb half of Vilgax's DNA, leaving him powerless, and commissioning Myaxx, another Chimeran scientist to help instead.
Prior to the beginning of the series, Vilgax sent drones to retrieve the Omnitrix when it was on its crash course to Earth. The drones found the Omnitrix with Ben but were destroyed by the boy.
Powers and Abilities[]
Before his augmentation, Vilgax displayed the standard powers or abilities of a Chimeran. He already had enhanced strength and endurance, once surviving a nuclear explosion at point-blank range, though it was made clear he was seriously injured and widely believed to be dead at that time.
After to his cybernetic enhancements, Vilgax became much taller and was granted immense strength and near invulnerability at the cost of the ability to turn his arms into separate tendrils, allowing him to easily leap above skyscrapers and survive in space. His arms were equipped with boost steroids, allowing him to increase his own strength and rage even further at will. Though it causes him great pain, the boosters give him enough strength to smash apart mountains with his bare hands.
Vilgax has conditioned himself to survive against the harsh conditions of space without protective gear for brief moments.
Vilgax can turn into a giant octopus-like monster, which he refers to as his true form, in the ocean.
Vilgax can speak to and through his DNA, how he does so is unknown.
