Intro to HTML and CSS

Many of you may know what HTML and CSS are: they are programming languages. But do you know how to code a webpage or even a wiki page using HTML and CSS? Chances are that you do not, or you do, but barely.

  • A wiki that you own, meaning that you are either the founder or one of the main admins.
  • (optional) Notepad ++, free download from http://notepad-plus-plus.org/

Let's start of with HTML. A basic HTML document uses tags to change parts of text. For example, a paragraph is produced by the tag

Thanks for reading this overly long blog. My next blog with be Fanon Con (look for it on Friday) but after that I plan on making a follow up blog to this one in which I will talk about classes, Notepad++, and give a longer example.

Changes Across the Board

With the addition of the new news system, ideas have suddenly appeared in my head! In this blog I will discuss a wide variety of different changes that could be made.

If you check the main page on Community, you will see that the page has a slider at the top and then a series of tabs titled "Latest News," "New Features," "Advice for Admins," and "Guides on Getting Started." While we obviously don't have either of these, I suggest that we add the tabber tag for four (new news, for four, what's going on here :P) different things. One, the Admin Blog post listing. This would be much easier to find then going to Blog:Admin Posts, even with it being linked to in the community messages. Two, the User News and Contest blog post listing. This would allo…

Young Plumbers Contest... Calling All Artists

  • Must be .PNG with a white background (sorry Roads :/)
  • Must include, but not limited to:
    • The title of the series.
    • 3 recruits (Paper being one of them)
    • 2 villains (Lotin being one of them)
    • The 4 fragments of the crystal; draw them however you imagine them
    • At the very bottom should be a line that has to do with something very important in the series
  • YOUR ENTRIES MUST ABSOLUTELY NOT CONTAIN ANYTHING ABOUT THE FOREVER KNIGHTS.
  • Must be completed by Wednesday the 26th. Winners will be announced at Fanon Con. I will try to have an example by the 18th.

  • Everyone wh…

Since This Can't Wait For Fanon Con...

Fanon Con was when...? June? Early July? Either way the next one isn't until at least late September and the fact is that I just can't wait that long, partially because Season 2 will most likely be halfway over by then. Also, I was planning on advertising a different series at the next Fanon Con, even though Young Plumbers is the only series I have that it really "working" right now.

First, let me talk about what's left of Season 1. Plot holes and a lack of reasons for evil plots aside, Season 1 is going far better then I expected. Although it isn't as long as it originally was going to be, I'm happy with the way it turned out. Only 6 episodes to go, 4 of which will be written by me, one by Water, and the final by Sci. In fact, one is already w…
