Upgrade is an alien used by Ben Tennyson using the Unlimited Omnitrix. He appears in Ben 10: Beyond Bellwood and originates from the Earth-CDXI.411 universe.
Kevin's version of this alien was named Bootleg.
Ben's Unlimited version of this alien is Unlimited Upgrade.
Appearance[]
Upgrade is a tall humanoid alien made of a black liquid metal covered in glowing green circuitry. A circular pattern on his head functions as his eye. The Omnitrix symbol is on his chest.
Powers and Abilities[]
Upgrade is a shapeshifting alien made of liquid metal. He can merge with technology and improve it on the fly. He is powerful enough to take control over some of the most advanced technology ever created, including a post-Time War Dalek travel machine.
He is capable of firing a focused laser from his eye.
Weaknesses[]
Upgrade is vulnerable to electric attacks.
History[]
Bootleg was used by Kev 'Leven to help created the Unlimited Omnitrix, along with Dark Matter. This gave him access to Unlimited Forms.
Ben 10: Beyond Bellwood[]
Upgrade was one of the ten aliens present in the Lifeboat Playlist. Ben first attempted to use him in The Genocide Gene to help the Doctor create more Nitrous Oxide, however he accidentally transformed into Gutrot instead. Upgrade was later used for real to possess a Dalek travel machine and acquire the opening signal, so the Doctor could administer her Anti-Dalek Virus. He succeeded, but was attacked by the creature inside until he subdued it and activated the Omnitrix's Genetic Repair function.
Upgrade was used twice in The Other Ben. The first time was by Other Ben, whose Omnitrix had been damaged by Kevin 11's use of his Mechamorph powers. But before he could attempt to fix his own watch, the device's continuing malfunctions turned him into Armodrillo and then Banshee. Ben Prime used Upgrade to ambush Slix Vigma after Unlimited Buzzshock teleported them all to the escape pods. He fixed Other Ben's Omnitrix and bought the gladiators chance to escape.
