The Unlimited Omnitrix is a DNA-altering device originating from Earth-CDXI.411 in Ben 10: Beyond Bellwood. It was created by Azmuth and modified by Kev 'Leven. It is currently wielded by Ben Tennyson.
Appearance[]
The Omnitrix is a dull grey gauntlet made of a synthetic and flexible rubbery material. Four white pipes orbit the device, connecting into a black section of machinery atop which sits the glowing green Galvan technosignature that acts as the Omnitrix's interface. The device extends from Ben's wrist nearly up to his elbow and cannot be removed.
When the device speaks, it speaks with Kev's voice.
History[]
The Omnitrix was originally designed and developed by the Galvan Azmuth before being sent to Earth to be wielded by Max Tennyson. Instead, due to the tiniest of delays in Xylene's arrival, the device fell towards New York City and was claimed by an 11-year-old Kevin Levin.
A few years later, Kev would modify the device using his own designs. He altered its appearance and its functionality, adding several of his own passcodes but most importantly inventing the 'Unlimited Aliens' feature he is so famous for. At this point the device began being called the 'Unlimited Omnitrix'.
In the year 2016 Kev gave the Omnitrix to Ben when the pair were cornered by the Flesh. He activated the Lifeboat Protocol in hopes that Ben would escape and find a way to destroy the Flesh, something Kev had failed to do.
Features[]
The Omnitrix is a Level 20 DNA Altering device. It allows the wearer to transform into over one million different alien forms.
Thanks to Kev's modifications, the Omnitrix can also transform the user into 'Unlimited' versions of many aliens. Exactly how many aliens have access to these forms is unclear.
The Omnitrix has a Universal Translator built into it. However this translator is not completely comprehensive as it does not translate Vulpin or Sotoraggian.
The Unlimited Omnitrix has voice activation for those experience enough to know how to use it. Kev used this feature to activate the Lifeboat Protocol.
The Omnitrix has the ability to repair the genetic material of creatures over a large area. This was demonstrated twice in The Genocide Gene; Once in a movie depicting Kev's saving of the Highbreed race, and again later when Ben attempted to fix the Daleks.
