Initial Message
Hello, BTFF Users and BBO fans alike!! I am Brywarrior, otherwise known as Deadpool or the Anti-Weeb. I am here to offer a job to anyone who wants it, but there are limited positions. The job you would be taking up would be as an assistant editor, assistant writer, or assistant director. I am currently the only editor/writer/director/artist for the series, and it would be nice to have a second or third set of eyes to pick out grammar/spelling mistakes that I may have missed, and to help witht he actual writing of the episodes. Should you wish to accept, you will have to fill out this application below either on this thread or on my Message Wall. Please note that you may apply for a Full Time, Half Time, or Part Time position. Full Time - Pretty much this is your main focus, I don't expect any of you to apply for this position, Half Time - You are active, and participate in Staff Meetings, but you have other engagements, and Part Time - You come to Staff Meetings when you can, you take up assignments when available, and we are not totally relying on you. Please also know that this only applies to Bryce Bowman: Devil's Bounty. Italicizied questions are optional, and failing to respond to them will not negatively affect my decision.
Please Bold your responses to each question.
Application
Projects
What are the projects that currently require your attention?
How dedicated are you to these projects?
Is there a chance of these being cancelled, should you sign up for this job?
Are there fans who would be dissappointed?
Time
How much can I rely on you to get an assignment done on time?
Do you have the time to perform the task?
Staff Meetings
I would like to start hosting weekly staff meetings, would you be able to attend these?
Would you be willing to participate in the staff meetings?
If I were to ask, could you prepare a report of your weekly progress?
Are you willing to question me in the event that you think something is wrong, or should be changed?
Prior Skills
What other projects have you worked on?
What level of education have you acquired?
Is writing/editing your strong suit, or are you more acquainted with other skills?
How much have you improved over your time on BTFF?
Deviation - Writers Only
I have a specific story that has to unfold in this Series, are you willing to follow that story?
If I ask you to write an episode, and give you a summary, will you be able to follow that summary as best to not distrupt the story?
Are you familiar enough with the series to maintain specific speech patterns of characters?
Are you familiar enough with the series to maintain the current writing format?
Profanity
Are you willing to write profanity into the dialouge of the characters?
Are you observant enough to pick up on a character's patterns, and determine if the profanity fits the character and the situation?
For Writers Only - Are you willing to allow me/other editors full editorial authority on a dialouge, that may or may not include totally re-writing, in the event that I/we see it unfit?
Are you mature enough to not throw out profanity for the sake of profanity?
Gore/Violence
This section is mostly for Writers, but Editors need to hear this too.
Are you willing/able to write violence and/or gore into an episode?
Are you observant enough to realize when enough is enough?
Are you familiar enough with the series to keep the level of violence on par with the rest of the series?
Editorial Authority - Editors Only
In the event of a Writer incorrectly writing something into an episode, that doens't fit, are you willing to edit it out, regardless of your relationship to the Writer?
Are you willing to allow me final word on all Editorial decisions?
If I go back and edit something that you changed, are you going to become angry or frustrated with me/another editor and allow that to influence our relationship?
Directors Only
The Directors are essentially just idea providers. As such, are you willing to allow your ideas for specific episodes to be swept under the bus if they do not agree with the flow of the whole story?
If I was to ask you for an idea (for a filler episode), would you be able to provide a coherent plot that fits in with the surrounding episodes to ensure a "complete" Season and Series?
In the case that I deny the use of an idea from you, but end up using a very similar one in a later season, are you willing to accept that I may not realize where the idea came from and, thus, refrain from being frustrated with me?
In the event that something similar to the above scenario occurs, but with another Director bringing up the plot, are you willing to calmly confront myself and the other director about the incident?
Chain of Command
Are you mature enough to recognize the Chain of Command, and respond appropriately to myself and higher ups?
Are you willing to allow myself or another editor to change something you've written, in the event that we see it fit?
If you are not performing your tasks, are you mature enough to calmly accept termination, if it comes to that point?
Are you mature enough to cease from bad-mouthing Brywarrior Studios and all related elements?
Should I not give you the required credit for your part in an episode, are you willing to confront me calmly to resolve the issue?
Signature
If you accept, copy the Application above into a reply and post your responses next to the question in Bold, and sign your signature (~~~~) to the bottom, then wait for my review.
Note: You are not required to meet ALL the terms specified. If I feel that you have enough qualifications, whether or not you have answered my "preferred" answer to these questions, I am inclined to "hire" you.
Thank you, and have a wonderful day!
