Apologies for the delay of the episode. There was some mandatory staff management taken place during the episode production and yet another wikia maintance. The episode, City of Change, is now posted so do enjoy it and hopefully there won't be any more delays but if there are, it might be because of staff management.
Sorry again for another late episode. This one is extremely late, exactly a week late. The reason for this isn't because of staff management like I claimed before but instead because of personal issues that I needed to take care of. I tried to work on the episode as much as I could throughout of the week and now I was able to finally finish it only for me to start yet another one. Hopefully, by the time I finish the next episode, there are some avaliable co-writers to work with me on the series so the episodes can be aired on time.
Aside from that, the new episode, Deep Below, is now avaliable.
After the setback of some previous episodes and another set of personal issues I needed to deal with, I finally managed to finish the early submitted episode, Night of the Living Mutant.
We are now a week delayed on production which isn't good as I was planning on uploading a Christmas special which means a double episode would have to be posted later on. I don't want these constant delays to become an annoying habit as its an inconvience to both me, my co-writers and the viewers.
I realize that my main problem is the length of the episode so I will be shortening the episodes, to the best of my ability, in order to post them on time.
Apologies again for another late episode but hopefully you'll be able to enjoy it now that it's finished.
Sorry again for the lack of updates. Episode 7 and 8, Second Thoughts and Blake, have already aired and I forgot to give an update that they did air. They're both avaliable for viewing with Manhunt, Episode 9, hopefully, coming this Saturday.
Yes! I plan on making four seasons so Season 2 should be coming out next year. I just have to figure out how to balance it with my other series as well as come up with new ideas. I'm glad you're enjoying the series, Ulti, thanks for the support.
Alright so the delays have been long and severe especially since a Christmas Special was planned and now its the new year but with Crawling Terror finally complete, the remaining two episodes will air this weekend. These last two episodes will be a two-parter and the season finale for the first season.
Sorry for the lack of the update. I thought that I would be able to upload Into the Storm Part 2 on time but I changed my mind and decided to upload it on Friday to give everyone time to process the first part rather than spam episodes. I'll post a comment here to indicate that the second part has been uploaded like all of my usual episodes.
Well for Season 2, we were basically trying to change the magnitude of Mutant Drake. We wanted to expand more with more places and more episodes in a season (now 20). There will also be more drama than in Season 1, focusing on characters and their interactions with each other.
I don't want to give any too much for this season but I guess you can expect Season 2 to be a journey towards something bigger, with every step revealing something new.
Just a small update: While Test of Might has been uploaded, it still needs to be completed. However there is an extended opening of the episode to see before the complete release of the episode which should be done by tonight. Emphasize of the should. Unfortunately, I am getting a little busy and it's hard to produce the episode, especially since I had to start from scratch yesterday. Thank you for being patient with me and sorry, again, for the delays.
Sorry for the lack of updates, guys. The series is not in any hiatus or anything, we've been having production issues with a certain episode which set back a bunch of other episodes but I assure you, they are still being developed and will probably all be released at the same time by probably next week. Also, please ignore the current version of Flight in the Night, it's being reworked. Thanks. And keep an eye out for a Christmas Update possibly.
Anyways, sorry again and Happy Holidays, everyone.
Now that the episode has been completed, regular episodes will continue to be posted on their regular times. However, since we're set back, we might have to change our production schedule after the latest episode this weekend as we need to post four episodes before the mid-season finale on the fourteenth. What we could do is post the episodes irregularly on the weekends, over the course of next week or post them at their regular times and move the date for the mid-season finale. While the decision may be among the staff, I'll set a poll to see what you guys think but comments are always appreciated. Thanks and sorry again for the set back to begin with.
How would you, the viewers, prefer our production for the set-back episodes?
Alright so the decision was made and the set-back episodes will be posted during the week with Turf War and Fast Lane airing on Tuesday (1/10), Beware the Ryder airing on Wednesday (1/11), Relationships airing on Thursday (1/12) and the mid-season finale, Rescue, on Saturday (1/14), just in time for the regular schedule.
Fast Lane has aired after quite some delay; sorry about that.
As for the schedule changes, it just couldn't be done. At least, not during the time. I'm finding it a bit difficult to write episodes lately and the whole set-back thing isn't really helping with that. So, I suppose, we'll be pushing back the episode deadlines and just post them at their regular times instead of trying to compensate for the set-backs. As much as I would love to make up for lost time, especially since I thought I could, this seems to be the best way to do it. Sorry again for all the scheduling confusion as well as the episode delays (and any future ones if they occur).
Rescue has finally aired. Be sure to check it out!
With the tenth episode of Season 2 finally airing, the series will now go on a hiatus break. During this break, we will be reworking the latter half of the season, updating our staff and more in order to better improve the series.
We'll also be working on Mutant Drake: The Game, which will be getting a page and more information pretty soon.
I just want to apologise for all the delays this season on behalf of the team and hopefully, we've these improvements, we'll be better for the second part of Season 2 for Mutant Drake.
After some time off, some management kinks and some planning, I'm happy to say that Mutant DrakeSeason 2 will be returning quite soon on May 6th. We still have some things to work out but overall that is the set date for the mid-season premiere.
So, in case you didn't notice, the first episode of the second part of the season, Reconnaissance, hasn't aired yet. Like mentioned earlier, we were still working through some stuff and it just occurred too close to the actual release date. The result- all of the episodes except Reconnaissance got a well amount of attention which could only mean delays. Safe to say that Reconnaissance will be up by Friday, May 12th, instead; making that the new release date for the premiere. The next episode, Aftershock, will appear the next day (Saturday, May 13th) so there won't be any changes made to the current schedule.
Reconnaissance has just aired, launching another wave of episodes in Season 2. Be sure to check it out!
So after two failed premiere dates and a schedule rework, the episode has finally came. Technically, the third episode for Season 2 Part 2 would have been uploaded this week which means we owe you guys two episodes. This can be easily fixed with Aftershock and Mutant City being posted on Friday (5/26) while Speed Limit is posted on Saturday (5/27). If any changes occur to this plan, I will edit this message with the new plan but, for the time being, this is how it will happen.
Sorry again for the confusion, between last minute changes and personal IRL stuff, it really delayed the episode but hopefully there won't be any more delays and what not now that the second part of the season has officially begun. Hope you guys enjoy the episode and the rest of the season as well.
EDIT: So the episodes are still underway, it's just taking a lot longer than planned. Aftershock should be released by Sunday. As for the others, their status is still to be determined.
Aftershock has finally aired. Be sure to check it out!
And another major delay out of the way. I'll get around to the rest of the episodes and hopefully have them up before the weekend but I'm not going to promise anything and hope I major in reverse-psychology because, despite my claims from earlier, this episode did not come out sooner than later. We have an overall idea of how the rest of the season is going to play out and that should help with the production of the episodes. Anymore changes/updates will be posted later on. In the meantime, check out the latest episode. It may be longer than usual and hopefully that makes up for the lost time.
In other news, the story for Episode 1 of Mutant Drake: The Game is nearly complete! Once it is, development will continue and once that's done, beta-testing will commence. See? We're getting there.
I've also been posting various sketches/drawings for the show on my Deviant Art account so if you're interested, please be sure to check that out as well!
Inner Self has finally aired. Be sure to check it out!
I know this episode took some time and in that time, I was supposed to upload The Professor and Vendetta. Without giving away too much, the two of them are closely related and might be released one after the other. Hopefully, I can get it out by the end of the week but I will most likely be taking a break for a bit only because these episodes have been overlapping and adding some pressure on me. Plus, I'd rather have episodes worth reading out than rush them.
Vendetta has finally aired. Be sure to check it out!
Just wanna apologize for the confusion earlier about the two episodes being uploaded closely which wasn't the case. I ended up taking that break after all and managed to finish up the episode, well, now. The next one, Idols, is planned to air this Saturday (August 12th) followed by the Season 2 two-part Finale, the next week.
The next two episodes will actually be a two-parter season finale for the second season.
But in case you're wondering where the episode (The Invasion Part 1) is from last week, I have decided to move it over to Friday and post the next episode (The Invasion Part 2) on Saturday. We originally planned to have a week between the two episodes to provide space for spectulation and give time for the viewers to collect themselves before the next episode (like every other episode) but, with the past few delays and excessive planning on these big episodes, the decision has be made to move them together and to the weekend.
In contradiction to my earlier announcement, the release dates for The Invasion Part 1 and Part 2 have been changed once again to accommodate for the excessive delays and writing.
Rather than releasing both parts on different days, like the previous accommodation(s), both parts of the episode will be posted on Friday (September 8th) instead. Part 1 will be posted earlier on during the day while Part 2 will be posted later on during the night.
I personally apologize for the delays as they've been a pain for both the writers and the readers since earlier on in Season 1. Like we stated during Fanon Con, this is something we're definitely going to work on once the finale is done so that future episodes and shows wouldn't have to suffer through the same thing. We hope you understand the inconvenience and enjoy the upcoming Season 2 finale of Mutant Drake, The Invasion.
I know I probably should have posted that earlier but I did not do it with the intention of posting the other part later this night and making a singular announcement for the release of both parts. Speaking of that, because of some setbacks, there's been another delay. But, there's some good news in there too!
The Invasion Part 2 will be out by either late Saturday (September 9th) or Sunday (September 10th) depending on how the planning procedure for Part 2 works out. And, at the very least, it gives you guys some time to soak in all the stuff that happened in Part 1. Hope you guys understand, everything in the last announcement still stands, we're just changing the date again.
As for ideas, I, as a show-runner, have a sort of idea layout set for upcoming seasons but the good thing about working with another writer is that it could always change for the better. Right now, we don't have too much since we're just fresh on hiatus but we definitely came up with some things during Season 2 that we felt were better for next one.
It's not exactly Mutant Drake but here's a little tease at the upcoming spin-off series, Ryder.
Ryder follows the story of private investigator, Ryder, and takes place after his own experiences in Mutant Drake. From cracking skulls to cracking cases, Ryder's story continues into a deeper and darker side of the expanding Mutant Drake Universe.
Be sure to check it out this weekend on December 16th.
Well, it's been a while on here, hasn't it? Sorry for the lack of updates, everyone. I've been busy here and there with my new summer schedule and frankly that caused a bit of disorganization on our part. But, to get back into the swing of things, both Bat and I have gone over some changes that we feel will help improve the stories that we're going to tell in future Earth-85 productions and came up with a list of improvements for anyone to see.
Furthermore, we're planning to officially launch Mutant Drake Season 3 this upcoming weekend on June 14th. While both the blog and myself had stated it would be this past weekend, I just couldn't make it and we had to push it back. It was disappointing for the both of us and surely for some of you as well. But hopefully we'll be a lot more prepared this time around and from here on out to bring you consistent episodes and a very awesome season! Hope you're looking forward to it as much as we are.
Gotta apologize for the extended delay, apparently my schedule kept getting more and more complicated- leaving me with less time to work on the episode, not to mention some technical difficulties that restricted communication for production. But in the end, we pushed past those obstacles to bring to you the first episode of Mutant Drake's third season! We hope you enjoy and look forward to the rest of the season.
Going to make a separate post to talk about some things.
So these past two episodes have been pretty delayed from their original air dates and there is supposedly an episode planned for tomorrow as well. However, I might be busy with traveling for a bit and may not be able to post episodes during that time. I'll try to get something up, I hate haven't to postpone or delay these things because they're important to me, Bat- my co-writer, and you, as readers. If anything, I'll work on it during my spare time and post when I can but if that's not possible, I'll just have to wait a few weeks. We were thinking of doing double-posts at one point but that's getting difficult to plan thanks to my schedule changing so we'll just have to see. I will say though that I should have a good chunk of time (either during the break or after) which I will dedicate towards posting designs, doing art for the series and other stuff as well. And that should be it.
Oh, and those production updates that we mentioned before, may or may not actually get pushed through. We haven't added most- if any- of them to the new episodes in order to avoid delaying them any longer so until we fix those delays, they just might not be added to the episodes. Just wanted to address that in case anyone were curious about those.
If there are any changes, I'll be sure to keep you all posted but until then, we'll be taking a break from posting episodes for a few weeks.
So after an (I'll admit) strange hiatus that just kept getting longer and longer, Mutant Drake is finally back with Episode 3 of its third season, New Recruits.
Hopefully, we should be back on a regular production schedule with many more episodes to come. We apologize for the wait, I personally can't really get too into it because it was really just a factor of different things but we do hope you enjoy the latest episode and more Mutant Drake things we have planned for this new year.
The latest episode, Dark Turns, has finally aired. Be sure to check it out!
While the production schedule is still a work in progress, we are still working on getting these episodes out. So, again, we apologize for the constant waiting but we do hope you enjoy this episode and the ones that are still to come.
