The Omnitrix is a device in Ben 12: Omnitrix Unleashed that was used by Ben 12 to transform into alien lifeforms.
Appearance[]
The Omnitrix resembles a large wrist watch, primarily black, white, and grey in color, with a grey dial in the middle which has a red hourglass shape on it. It has a circular tube. When Ben selects his aliens it shows the alien's silhouette.
Origin[]
After a Galvan called Azmuth built the weapon askalon, which was responsible of the destruction of a planet, he sought out to create a device that would bring peace to the galaxy.
Features[]
The Omnitrix has the ability to turn the user into any alien species. it works by pressing the red button in the middle of the watch, if done so the dial will pop up, showing 12 or more (given the time frame) alien icons. Once the user has selected an icon, they can press down on the dial allowing them to transform into the alien of their choice. Master control mode bypasses the primary failsafe mode, allowing the user to become any alien in the watch for any amount of time.
Failsafes:[]
The Primary failsafe allows the user to only access a few of the millions of aliens in the Omnitrix as well as only being able to be used 12 minutes at a time.
The Omni lock failsafe locks the wearer in a given transformation if their life depended on it.
The Dead failsafe can reconstruct the user from their DNA if they were ever to be destroyed.
Modes[]
Active Mode[]
Active mode is the primary Omnitrix mode. It is shown when the Omnitrix glows red, notifying the user that the Omnitrix can now be used.
Recharge Mode[]
Recharge mode is the temporary stage in which the Omnitrix is 'timed out' meaning that the Omnitrix is out of use for 6 minutes, this happens after the user reverts back to his original form. The Omnitrix glows blue during the time out sequence.
Scan Mode[]
When the Omnitrix detects uncatalogued DNA it begins to glow purple and remains inactive until the DNA is catalogued in the Omnitrix DNA database.
Synced Mode[]
If the Omnitrix were to detect another Omnitrix, it would glow orange showing that they have been synced.
Ben 12's Arsenal[]
Ben 12's Arsenal is the official title given to the collective transformations inside of the Omnitrix that Benjamin Kenneth Tennyson can transform into in Ben 12: Omnitrix Unleashed.
Playlist Arrangement[]
- Playlist 1 was the default playlist in the Omnitrix when Ben discovered it.
- Playlist 2's aliens where unlocked and/or scanned one by one during the events of season 2.
- The last 5 of playlist 2 were unlocked at the same time by the end of season 2.
- Playlist 3's aliens where acquired all at the same time after the Omnitrix recalibrated thanks to Eon's tampering.
- This also caused Ben to be locked out of his first two playlists.
