The Cartoon Network Tournament is the eleventh episode of Omniverse: At Night.

Plot

The episode begins outside of an awards ceremony, taking place in the Uncle Grandpa universe. Uncle Grandpa would welcome the nominated characters from respective shows: Steven from Steven Universe, Mordecai and Rigby from Regular Show, etc., as he'd welcome himself to the stand. Making a funny joke, that didn't seem funny to the audience, an Uncle Grandpa sitting in-between Gumball and Ben would laugh, making Gumball cringe, and Ben rolls his eyes in the process.

With the crowd starting to cause a ruckus, a voice breaks the crowd, revealling themselves as a villain that Ben has never seen before, who did not act at all like one, calling himself Charles Zenith. Zenith's bubbly personality would confuse Ben and the others, as Zenith would promote his game show he had come up with, telling them that it is action packed, exciting, and most of all, fabulous. Confused, Ben would ask about his origin, as Zenith would pour out his species, admitting that his kind feed on drama. Despite Zenith being a villain, he was overall calm, and not too loud and irritating. Rook enters the scene, wishing to speak to Ben, before he is distracted by the appearance of Charles Zenith, claiming to be a massive fan of his game shows. Zenith is flattered by Rook, as he asks him to join Ben and the rest in a tournament for eternal glory. Rook obliges to the idea, as he stands in the middle of Ben and Gumball, before they all teleport into a huge arena.

Zenith would explain the rules: if the characters from a particular show get the lowest score after a few rounds, then they are eliminated. The characters from the show would be disqualified if they are caught cheating in any way shape or form. Zenith would explain that fusions and transformations are prohibited unless if necessary, resulting on Ben to cross his arms, claiming that it'd be a bit too overpowered to use a device like the Omnitrix, as Zenith would chuckle at Ben's minor joke. The characters are selected to play a puzzle based on intelligence: Anais, Pearl, Jeff, Princess Bubblegum and Ben, as the others would get teleported to watch them participate. Zenith would allow Ben to transform for this challenge, knowing that his human intelligence is lacking.

The first challenge begins. The five challengers are given a complicated math question to answer. Ben and the others examine the question about calculating the Pythagorian Theorum, as Ben would transform into Brainstorm, using the numbers on the board to calculate the length of the shapes shown. Brainstorm would use his electro-telekinesis as he would write down the answer he had thought of, as the others would claim that they had finished also. With Zenith's little timer counting to zero, he would pull up a screen to show the answers from the five challengers, noticing different methods used to find the answer. Brainstorm would transform back into Ben as soon as Zenith would call out that they all got the correct answer.

Zenith would then call out other contestants for the round: Garnet, Nicole, Samurai Jack, Chowder and Mordecai, as they are tasked to complete an Obstacle of Death, referencing Mordecai and Rigby's experience of Death Kwan Do. They begin the obstacle with some good results. Chowder slips up as he falls over, getting eliminated from the round. With Garnet managing to gracefully dodge anything in her path, she is smacked by a foam object, hard enough to cause them to unfuse into Ruby and Sapphire, leading to her elimination, causing Amethyst to call out how that wasn't fair. Mordecai would trace his steps, repeating the words "step of death" in order to traverse the course properly, however Samurai Jack and Nicole would help each other by coordinating their movement, allowing them to get to the other side as quick as possible. Zenith watches this, calling out Nicole and Jack for teamwork and how they're from separate shows, this getting eliminated. Ben had watched Nicole and Jack get eliminated, and asks where they are, to which Zenith tells him that they had been transported back to their respective TV show universes. Mordecai then wins the round due to Zenith being biased.

A mini break was held, with Ben exiting the huge crowd that stayed for the next round. Rook follows along, asking Ben about Garnet, Nicole, Jack and Chowder, with Ben explaining that they went back to their universes, though he doesn't think so. Ben would attempt to investigate, but is teleported into the arena, who had Richard Watterson behind a table of food. An eating competition was held, with Muscle Man also entering the arena. Ben transforms into Murk Upchuck, as he sits down on the chair in the middle. They were tasked to eat a massive pile of hotdogs in the span of two and a half minutes. The round begins with Muscle Man and Richard devouring the hotdogs, until Upchuck chomps down on them all with his mouth, seeming like they disappeared without a trace. The round immediately ends with Ben winning the competition, resulting in Richard and Muscle Man getting eliminated. Upchuck shrugs, transforming back into Ben, with Zenith wishing to restart the round, but have Ben go a different alien. Richard and Muscle Man are teleported back into the arena as Ben is automatically transformed into Swampfire, with the food being switched into something else, something that Ben doesn't like, which is his mom's cooking.

• The start of the episode is based on the Uncle Grandpa short called The Grampies.
• Charles Zenith telling Ben that his species feed on drama is a parallel to when Attea gave Ben the same info in the Omniverse episode, The Most Dangerous Game Show.
• Of all the characters in this episode so far, Gunter from Adventure Time and Ruby and Sapphire from Steven Universe are the only character with a cameo appearance.
• As of June 18 2023, Benzarro85 has lost interest in continuing to write this episode.
