The Alliance is the fourth episode of Kalus 10.
Plot[]
Silas approaches a table with one of Vilgax’s fallen drones on it from the battle with Kalus. He asks his soldiers about how the process has gone and one replies they’ve been experimenting for a week now but still no results. Silas says it’s intriguing how these drones were created and decides to tear it open himself, but when he tries to it extends an arm and jabs it into his skin, causing him to let out a yell. The soldiers all check on him as he collapses but seconds later he gets back up, the drone having merged with his body. He looks down at his hands and laughs out wickedly, saying this is a surprising turn of events.
A car with a group of masked men is driving down a street with police giving chase. The police chief demands that they pull over but they refuse and turn a sharp corner, almost hitting another car. They run through a red light, causing multiple cars to swerve and collide with eachother, blocking the path of the pursuiting vehicles. The criminals think they’ve made a getaway but they hear a voice telling them they aren’t quite out of the clear yet and Fasttrack appears, running by their side. One of them recognises him as one of the aliens from the news and he recognises them as the Violet Offenders, a wanted group of thieves. One of them grabs a crowbar and attempts to hit Fasttrack with it but he leaps over it and grabs the crowbar, pulling it from the attacker’s grip and throwing it aside. The driver decides to run him over so he tries to hit him but Fasttrack leaps on top of the vehicle so the driver desperately tries to shake him off. Then Fasttrack gets a call and pulls out his phone, discovering that Jacob is calling him. He asks what he wants and Jacob says he just saw the situation and wonders if there’s anything he can do to help. Fasttrack tells him to let him get on with it and ends the call, but doesn’t notice 2 of the criminals climb on top of the floor and they throw him off. He falls onto the road and watches the car drive away. He runs after it again and decides to try and stop the car, so he runs alongside it and uses the blades on his arms to puncture one of the tyres, making the car slow to a stop. The Violet Offenders all try to make a run for it but the police appear and arrest them. The chief goes to thank Fasttrack but the alien disappeared.
At the M.E.C.H facility, some targets are set up by some soldiers. Silas, who is now about 50% robotic, aims his hand and rockets emerge from his wrists, hitting and destroying the targets, blowing them to pieces. Some training dummies appear behind him but he turns around and blasts more rockets at them, destroying them. The ground starts to shake and he uses rocket boosters to fly into the air, avoiding some spikes emerging from the ground. Some laser turrets emerge from the walls and begin shooting, but they hit his metallic skin and bounce off, doing little damage. He then fires more rockets, destroying all the turrets effortlessly. He states he can now retrieve the device that has caught his attention, shooting a picture of Kalus.
Meanwhile, the said Kalus is walking home when Jacob approaches him, asking how the battle went. Kalus says it was going fine until Jacob called him, saying he distracted him. Jacob apologises, saying he wants to be a sidekick to Kalus, but Kalus refuses, saying he can manage perfectly fine on his own, since he has for the past week. Jacob watches him walk off. Then they hear an explosion and both turn around to see smoke down the street and a figure emerges from within, revealed to be Silas. His robotic eye scans for the omnitrix and locates it on Kalus’s wrist, saying he found his target. Kalus grabs Jacob and runs into an alley, avoiding a rocket that follows. Kalus wonders how Silas managed to become a cyborg then realises his robot parts are the same as the drones he fought. He turns into a large armadillo alien with jackhammer arms and questions what he’s supposed to be. Jacob asks if he can help but Kalus tells him to stay hidden and runs out of the alley to find Silas approaching. Silas is intrigued to see another alien form and laser blasters emerge from his back, releasing beams at the alien. Kalus blocks it, being incredibly durable. He decides to fight back and charges at Silas before punching him, knocking him a good distance down the street. He realises his jackhammer arms made the punch stronger so he decides to try something else. He punches the ground and his jackhammer mechanism activates, causing a minor earthquake to occur. This causes a fissure to open and move down the street towards Silas, who has quickly recovered from the previous attack. He takes off into the air and activates his rocket wrists, firing them at Kalus. They hit him and cause an explosion, surrounding the alien in smoke. Silas lands and approaches his victim, but when the smoke clears Kalus is nowhere to be seen and Jacob thinks he’s been completely blown to bits, but Silas notices the ground shake and seconds later Kalus emerges, knocking Silas into the air. He decides to call this alien Armodrillo and waits for Silas to come back down, but the cyborg activates his jetpack and hovers in the air above the alien. He states that he underestimated Kalus and fires a rocket at a building, causing the debris to fall towards Jacob. Armodrillo sees him in danger and rushes over. Jacob braces for impact but nothing happens. He looks up and sees Armodrillo standing over him, holding the debris above his head. He throws it aside and looks up at Silas but finds he’s no longer there.
Silas arrives back at the M.E.C.H facility where he tells his soldiers the test run was a success, but he still needs to become stronger, but when he does he suddenly gasps out as he sees visions of a large squid-like alien telling him to bring him the omnitrix. Silas collapses and the soldiers wonder if he should continue to upgrade himself with the drones but he says he’s fine and angrily demands them to make him stronger.
Meanwhile Jacob apologises to Kalus, saying he didn’t mean to act as a distraction for Kalus. Kalus is angry but remains calm and tells Jacob to just leave him alone and find some other friends to hang out with. Jacob says he’ll promise to stay out of the way next time but Kalus tells him there won’t be a next time and walks off, saying they were never friends to begin with which hurts Jacob.
That evening Kalus is feeling guilty about what he said to Jacob earlier but he doesn’t know why, so he decides to go out for a walk to think about it. When he leaves the house he doesn’t realise that he’s being watched. As Kalus walks down a street he hears something and only just has time to avoid an incoming rocket, but is hit by the force of the explosion, sending him tumbling across the road. He groans and struggles to stand and sees Silas above him, now even more robotic than before. Kalus asks what he did to himself but Silas doesn’t respond and Kalus notices the lack of emotion in his face. He realises that Kalus is becoming more machine than man and decides to put a stop to him so he turns into Shocksquatch. Silas fires lasers from a cannon on his shoulder but Shocksquatch runs to avoid them then leaps onto a building, climbing up it before leaping into the air. He grabs Silas, who struggles to stay airborne due to the extra weight and Shocksquatch delivers a powerful shock, but Silas manages to shake him off.
Meanwhile some passing onlookers see the battle and begin recording. Jacob sees the battle online and notices Kalus is struggling, so he leaves to see if he’s okay.
Shocksquatch gets up and pants, stating he’s thrown several attacks but they’ve done nothing to even dent Silas. He points out Shocksquatch is one of his strongest transformations and doesn’t know who else to use. Silas fires another wrist rocket which Shocksquatch narrowly avoids. He fires a stream of electricity at Silas but he responds by putting up some kind of force field that deflects the attack and sends it back at Shocksquatch knocking him down. Silas aims his wrist at Shocksquatch and prepares to fire a rocket but a rock is thrown at his head. Shocksquatch sees Jacob was the one that threw it and tells him to run but Jacob tells him he’s not letting him go through all his fights on his own. Silas turns his aim to Jacob but Shocksquatch leaps up and grabs him, charging him into a gym. Once inside he is out of eyesight so he reverts and is forced to hide.
Silas recovers from the attack and searches for Kalus, who waits for the omnitrix to recharge whilst hiding behind some exercise equipment. He points out both Armodrillo and Shocksquatch weren’t strong enough and wonders how he can defeat Silas. Jacob appears by his side and asks if he has any aliens that can disable Silas’s technology. Kalus remembers Grey Matter and, when the omnitrix recharges, he tries turning into him but instead becomes a liquid metal organism. He is annoyed that he got the wrong transformation and at this moment Silas finds him, who was alerted by the transformation. He blasts the alien but it passes through his liquid body. Kalus grabs a treadmill but ends up merging with it, adding a turret to it which he uses to blast Silas back, knocking him back. Jacob realises this alien form can upgrade technology and wonders if he can also break it. Kalus realises what he means and merges with Silas, trying to remove his mechanical parts, but ends up seeing a vision of Vilgax, who tells him they will one day meet in person and when it comes he will regret it. When he comes to, Silas is back to his regular self with drone pieces scattered everywhere. Kalus tries to grab Silas but he throws down a smoke bomb, blinding the duo and allowing him to escape. Kalus reverts just as the police arrive.
Kalus and Jacob are walking home and Kalus says he’ll have to come up with a name for his new alien, so Jacob suggests Upgrade. Kalus thanks him for all the help and apologises for what he said earlier, but Jacob also apologises and states he should know where his place is, but Kalus points out he was useful in today’s battle, and says he should be proud of himself. Jacob asks if he can be Kalus’s sidekick but Kalus tells him not to push it. As they walk, however, Kalus has another vision and sees Vilgax laughing evilly.
