The Alien I Refuse to Name is the sixth episode of Omniverse: At Night.
Plot[]
The episode begins five years before Omniverse: At Night, an explosion occurs in a forest with an 11-year-old Four Arms getting punched by a rogue Galvanic Mechamorph named Malware. With Four Arms whacking Malware with a tree, Malware takes down the Tetramand, who transforms back into Ben. Eventually, the eleven-year-old Ben Tennyson transforms into a new alien who he had unlocked for a little while, called Feedback, as he manages to take down Malware with some light attacks, before absorbing his energy and redirecting them directly at him. He transforms back into Ben as he falls on his buttocks.
The scene cuts to five years later, with a rogue Buglizard attacking Ben and Rook, who had to catch up. Ben transforms into Swampfire, as he'd begin to throw fireballs at the natural predator of Stinkfly, who'd dodge them by running on all fours. Swampfire would traverse underground before bursting out from behind, trapping the Buglizard in a vine net. It breaks free, so Swampfire had to come up with another plan to subdue the threat. Rook eventually jumps in and catches the Buglizard, as Swampfire traps it again, when suddenly, a loud whistle is heard, piercing the eardrums of the Methanosian and the Revonnahgander. Zed escapes from the heroes, as Khyber is seen petting the dog. Khyber leaves the scene, heading off to a location, as the camera cuts back to Swampfire transforming back into Ben, standing with Rook, as they stop covering their ears, getting into the Proto-TRUK.
With Ben and Rook leaving Undertown, Rook asks Ben if he ever had an alien that he loved very much. Ben responds with a no, but Rook continued asking similar questions, before asking Ben about Feedback. Ben's eyes widen, suddenly snapping at Rook, telling him to never mention that name. Rook apologises, but is still confused about the alien and how he has never seen Ben use it. Ben refuses to answer the question about Feedback, and he wishes that he could just forget about him. Rook continues driving off, with Ben feeling everything he had felt when he was eleven-years-old.
A flashback is played to when the Violet Offenders accelerated in front of the Rust Bucket with Ben, Gwen and Max. With Ben opening the doors as Feedback, he chased after the Violet Offenders by zooming on electric wires from lampposts, shooting at them. The next flashback opens to a flaming building as Ben, Gwen and Max park up to diffuse it. Gwen suggests Ben should use Heatblast to absorb the fire, but Ben goes Feedback, with the flashback ending with Feedback running into the burning building.
Rook and Ben arrive at Plumber HQ, as Max finds Ben looking slightly off. He asks Rook, who explains that he snapped when he asked about Feedback. Max was shocked. He remembered Feedback well, but he didn't want to tell Rook what had happened that day Feedback was destroyed. Ben walks off to chill with Blukic and Driba, who were working on some piece of technology. Ben transforms into NRG, who tests the Galvans to see if they would try and crack open his containment suit. Within a few tries, the machine malfunctioned, just a few seconds before the alarms were called. NRG departs from the room as he is greeted by Rook, Max, and several plumbers. The projection shows a rogue Galvanic Mechamorph, as NRG is seen horrified. NRG transforms back into Ben, retaining the horrified expression.
The camera cuts to Malware blowing up buildings with his energy beams, laughing hysterically at his work. Ben and Rook arrive via the Proto-TRUK, as Malware looks over to see present day Ben, welcoming him to his demise, hoping he'd share the same fate as Feedback, which causes Rook to become even more curious. Malware tells the story with a flashback scene. The flashback opens to eleven-year-old Gwen using her mana to lift up the Rust Bucket. Ben transforms into Feedback while Gwen says that it was a better idea using Diamondhead. Malware gets the upper hand, as he proceeds to tamper with Feedback's electrokinetic blasts, as he is corrupted and torn apart from eleven-year-old Ben, tearing up after he watches his favourite alien turn to dust.
As soon as the flashback ends, Rook is made aware of why Ben refuses to talk about the alien. Ben looks at Malware, as he vows to get revenge on him. Chuckling, Malware informs him that it is too late, and how there was nothing Ben could do to stop him. Ben, engulfed in rage, transforms into Diamondhead, something he should have done five years ago to prevent the death of his favourite alien. Diamondhead dashes to Malware, who blasts him with his energy beams, hoping that Diamondhead couldn't get to him. However, Rook pursuits Malware by attacking from the side. Unknowingly, Zed jumps in as she is transformed into Crabdozer. Crabdozer whacks both Diamondhead and Rook, as Malware uses this as an opportunity to escape, as Khyber jumps down, continuing the fight. Rook tells Ben that he'd deal with the newcomer to the fight, as Diamondhead would proceed to chase Malware, who would begin to throw cars to slow him down.
Diamondhead throws a diamond projectile at Malware, who morphs his body to make it go through him, as he blasts Diamondhead from behind, knocking him off his feet. Diamondhead plans to catch him as someone else as he quick changes into Fasttrack. Fasttrack takes a short cut which sends him in front of Malware, as he throws the first punch at the Galvanic Mechamorph. Malware tumbles to the ground before smacking against a wall. Fasttrack looks down at him, demanding him to stop, but Malware whacks Fasttrack over in order to escape.
Fasttrack transforms back into Ben, as he finds Rook with an apprehended Khyber, who asks about Malware. Ben says that he had let him go, since there is no point in fighting against someone who inflicted something that happened long ago. Ben confirms that he is going to let go from the past, and properly this time. Ben calls Max to grab the Plumbers in order to arrest Khyber.
The scene transitions to Malware entering a secret base. He is welcomed by Dr. Psychobos, who asks about their mission. Malware reveals that Ben Tennyson is active after five years of being stuck in a hiatus. Psychobos asks about Khyber, as Malware confirms that he had been arrested by the Plumbers. With Psychobos looking for a contingensy plan, Malware plans an assault on Galvan Prime. With Dr. Psychobos agreeing with the idea, knowing he would meet Azmuth face-to-face, the episode ends with Malware beginning phase two of their ultimate plan.
