The Steamyx are a race of Antelope like aliens who live in Vatmos.
Appearance[]
A male Steamyx has the appearance of a dark blue antelope with white horns and 2 fingered claws in place of hooves. He has green eyes, a triangular face and a see through teal panel on his belly. Their eyes are orange.
A female Steamyx is pink instead, a round face, longer horns and thinner legs.
Society[]
Steamyx live in groups of 10-40, with a dominant male and female.
Diet[]
They are herbivorous, and eat cactus.
Powers and Abilities[]
Steamyx can emit pressurized steam blasts from their horns, which are dextile. They can also control the intensity of their steam blasts for other uses, such as cutting down doors with a blow-torch like effect.
They are rather mobile, able to jump up high and perform parkour stunts.
Their legs and horns are strong enough match a Tetramand in close combat. They can also kick with enough force to send a Chronosapien flying.
Despite their frail body, they have a degree of enhanced durability, able to withstand getting thrown into a wall and multiple blows from a Detrovite.
They can empower themselves by consuming weaponised water or liquids from opponents. Similarly they can get empowered underwater.
Weaknesses[]
Their powers rely on water to function, so unless they so happen to be near a water area or fighting a hydrokinetic foe, they will tire out quickly and need to refill.
A Steamyx's body is rather frail and can't handle much in the way of punishment.
There is a limit to how far they can push themselves in terms of blasting steam.

Etymology[]
Their name is derived from "Steam" and "Oryx".

- Originally, only Steambok would have a visible tank. This was changed to be a species thing.
