So Glad We Had This Time Together is the twenty-second episode of Omniverse: At Night.

Plot

The episode begins with Julie doing tennis practise with her photographer Hervé. Hervé continues to compliment Julie's skills as she'd finish once Ben and Rook show up a little later than usual. Julie forgives Ben for his lateness as she asks if he'd like to come to her tennis tournament sometime. Ben agrees, but is a little cautious if any villain were to break loose. Julie would ask what villain broke loose the time he was late just now, as Ben would brush it off, saying it was just Fistina, Liam and Bubble-Helmet.

Julie asks if Ben would like to stay and watch her tennis practise, as Ben would sit down next to Hervé and introduce himself. Hervé tells Ben that Julie told him so much about him, finding it unusual for Hervé to hear about Ben's aliens. Some time passes and an explosion goes off at Bellwood's brain bank. Ben tells Julie that he has to go and deal with it, as Julie would tell him that she'll wait until he comes back. With Ben running off to see who was doing such things, the scene transitions to Zombozo running out with Dr. Animo and some glass containers with brains inside. Ben jumps into scene as he transforms into Snare-oh, stretching his lims in order to take the containers that held brains. Snare-oh would mention to Zombozo that he tried doing the same thing last time, but ultimately failed.

Zombozo informs him that this time would be different, as he'd make an escape with Animo, before Snare-oh chases after them. With Snare-oh eventually trapping them in a bandaged trap, Snare-oh transforms back into Ben as he contacts Max to collect the villains, making it back to Julie's tennis practise. Ben apologises for having to leave as Julie would brush it off, telling him that it's his job to save the day when he has to. With Rook asking what had happened, Ben reveals that Dr. Animo and Zombozo tried to rob the brain bank. With Ben sitting back down, the scene transitions to Plumber HQ prison, with Zombozo and Dr. Animo enprisoned, wanting to get out. Dr. Animo would clarify that there are no ways to escape, before Zombozo would break out using acid to melt the doors. He'd also melt Animo's door, before tackling some Plumbers, as well as Max. With the criminals gone, Animo wishes to head to his base and get his mutants for their plan to get set into motion. Zombozo asks if he could get the Circus Freaks, as Animo would agree to that idea.

Zombozo and Animo split up as Zombozo contacts the Circus Freaks, who were minding their own business. Zombozo would tell them that they are needed for Dr. Animo's plan, as they would follow along, meeting up with Dr. Animo, who had collected a few of his mutants. Animo plans to create a machine that turns anyone into mutated zombie clowns, as Zombozo was planning on doing it some other time, instead, Zombozo plans to steal something valuable in order to give it to his big boss. Animo liked the idea, as he planned to create a distraction with his mutants.

Cutting back to Ben, Rook, Julie and Hervé, Julie had invited Ben to watch her tennis tournament that was happening later that night as Ben was very happy to go. Julie thanks him for staying as she would head home, with Ben and Rook getting into the Proto-TRUK as soon as they heard screams from nearby. As soon as they arrive at the scene, they are exposed to the Circus Freak Trio and the mutants. Seeing this team up was unexpected, just like their surprise. Ben dials the Omnitrix and hopes to transform into a new alien, before transforming into a new alien. There, they are exposed to a flesh-like alien covered in stitches. The alien was revealed to be PatchUp, as Rook would ask how he got the alien. PatchUp explains (from his second head placed on his tummy) that he got him from their recent encounter with Tummyhead, as he had managed to snatch the DNA sample. With Rook understanding the backstory, the Circus Freaks would dash at the two heroes, as PatchUp would rip off a limb before it would sprint and attack the villains from behind, scaring the Circus Freak Trio. PatchUp's arm would grab onto Frightwig as she'd get grossed out by such thing, giving Rook time to swoop in and take her down using the bow option on the Proto-Tool.

Thumbskull bashes into PatchUp as he'd separate his limbs more, making himself more vulnerable to heavy attacks, as Rook would chuck the arms at Thumbskull, which makes him freak out. With PatchUp having his arms put back together by Rook, and making sure they were put on correctly, PatchUp would whack Acid Breath, who fights back by using his acidic breath, that causes Rook and PatchUp to vomit. Rook would soon fire lasers from his Proto-Tool as they'd send Acid Breath a few feet down the road of downtown Bellwood, before he'd get trapped in a net, as well as Thumbskull and Frightwig. PatchUp transforms back into Ben, as he helps Rook put them into the back of the Proto-TRUK.

They'd drive off as Ben would think about Julie's tennis tournament that she would be a part of. Ben would message Julie, asking her when the tournament is, as she replies by saying that the tournament is in less than an hour, with Ben and Rook near Plumber HQ. As soon as they got there, they find the plumbers on the ground, as they get up. Rook would put the Circus Freaks in their cells, while Ben saw to Patelliday, who tells him that Zombozo and Animo had escaped Plumber HQ prison. Ben tells Rook that they have some criminals to catch, as Rook would head back to the Proto-TRUK. Ben tells him that he'd catch up, as he walks over to Frightwig, demanding an answer to whatever Zombozo and Animo were planning on doing. Frightwig initiates a deal, that she'd tell him the info, in exchange of getting out of the cell. With Ben stumped, Rook calls as he would assume they were planning on making mutant clown hybrids, as Ben would disagree, thinking it was too basic. Frightwig would chime in and give him a hint, telling him that they were working with the boss, as Ben would assume it was Vilgax, only for Frightwig to tell him that he's close.

Ben exits Plumber HQ once figuring out who the big bad boss was, as he transforms into XLR8, dashing to wherever Rook was. Rook was waiting for Ben outside a warehouse as XLR8 would run in and transform back, asking why he was outside a warehouse. Rook believes he had found out who the big boss was, claiming it was Psyphon, with Ben nodding his head. Ben transforms into Grey Matter as he plans to sneak in without being seen. Rook says he'll wait on the roof, as Grey Matter claims he will signal him when he's ready to ambush. With Grey Matter running into the doors and sneaking in by climbing through various boxes, Psyphon thanks Animo and Zombozo for bringing him the dwarf star, hoping that it would overpower any of Ben's alien transformations.

Grey Matter signals Rook to jump down as Rook does as followed, startling Psyphon and the two, who had no idea of such an ambush. Grey Matter jumps from his hiding space as he transforms back into Ben, telling Psyphon that his plan of stopping the dwarf star will fail, as Psyphon claims that the plan had already been in motion, and that the brain bank robbery was a distraction. Psyphon grabs hold of the dwarf star as he would feel the power coursing through his body, feeling very powerful. Psyphon began firing blasts as Ben and Rook would take cover, just before Ben dials the Omnitrix and transforms into another new alien. With Ben's overall appearance looking squid-like, Ben would poke his head out as Ventrilosquid, while Psyphon continued firing away, hoping either Ventrilosquid or Rook would jump out and fight.

Ventrilosquid would use his powers and uses his telepathy to insert thoughts into the mind of Zombozo, telling him to betray Psyphon and Dr. Animo by fighting against the doctor. Rook jumps in as he would attempt to attack Psyphon, which did no physical damage, before getting blasted by Psyphon's energy beams coming from said dwarf star. Suddenly, Psyphon would hear voices that he believed was Vilgax. "Vilgax" would tell Psyphon to head back to the ship as he wanted to conquer other planets, telling him that Earth can be enslaved some other time. Psyphon believed this was a trick as he'd fire the box that Ventrilosquid was hiding in, as Ventrilosquid had to move fast in order to prevent getting hit.

The scene transitions to Julie's tennis tournament as she was up against Carol Smith, a fellow tennis player. Julie checks the time on her phone as she sighed at the fact Ben was late. Julie is then called to the tennis court as Carol was ready to start the match. With the tournament starting, the scene cuts back to the fight in a warehouse, as Rook continued to tackle Dr. Animo, while Ventrilosquid switches into Indense and solidifies his watery body into ice, making him more durable. Indense flies over to Dr. Animo as he punches him and uses his other arm to switch it back to water and trap Zombozo's head inside, eventually chucking him at Dr. Animo before changing back after getting blasted by Psyphon. Having to make this quick, Ben transforms into Toepick as he would open his cage, revealling the horror that is his face, which defeats Zombozo, Animo and Psyphon respectively.

The scene transitions to the end of the tournament as Julie sat down on the bleachers with Hervé, as Ben and Rook would arrive. Ben apologises for being late, as Julie would accept his apology. Julie would tell Ben that she needs to talk to him, as Ben sits down. She reveals her thoughts about being with Ben as she would explain that ever since she started dating the hero, she had to always remind herself that Ben wouldn't be around due to being so busy. Ben agrees, telling her that she needs someone better, someone who is able to always be with her. Julie is happy to find out Ben is supportive with her decisions as she thanks him. Ben is happy to know that Julie plans to move on and find someone who loves her and is always with her, as she would wave goodbye at Ben, who waves back. With Julie and Hervé gone, Ben wishes to hang at Mr. Smoothy with Rook, who asks Ben if he misses being Julie's boyfriend, as he admits he does, but knows that someone out there is suitable enough to always be there for her, as the episode ends with Ben and Rook walking out of the tennis courts.
