Skip-n-Beat is the Omnitrix's DNA sample of a Chrodiac, from the planet Amaevum.
Appearance[]
Skip-n-Beat is an approximately 2.5 feet tall bipedal, seemingly mammalian, creature. He has primarily purple fur, with patches of white around the eyes, ears, chest, and feet that have speckles of pink mixed in. He has big, shiny yellow eyes and a small heart-shaped nose. The Omnitrix sits on his stomach.
Powers & Abilities[]
Skip-n-Beat's species are able to displace themselves short distances forward in time, though this ability is limited by their cardiovascular system. They are able to move forwards in time by the amount of time in-between heartbeats.
- Because of this limitation on their powers, Chrodiacs have learned to at least somewhat control their heart rate, slowing it down at will to extend the time they are able to shift forward. Skip-n-Beat is a sample of the most healthy Chrodiac, and so theoretically could match the record of 16 seconds, though it would require a lot of mental training to develop such control.
- When Chrodiacs fall in love with each other, their hearts become prone to skipping beats when together, allowing them to travel further (the record for this is 31 seconds).
- While sequential jumps can be made, there needs to be at least one heartbeat in-between, and the more rapidly they're done the more draining they are, so most Chrodiacs can only make 5-6 jumps in a row at most.
Skip-n-Beat is also incredibly strong on most planets, as its species are adapted to very high gravity, and the extreme density and muscle strength makes them more strong the lower the gravity is.
- On Earth, Skip-n-Beat is able to lift up to around a ton.
Home World[]
The home world of the Chrodiacs, Amaevum, is located near the centre of the Milky Way Galaxy, being one of the closest planets to the black hole at its core, Sagittarius A*. Due to its proximity to the black hole, it is barraged by gravitational distortions, which cause horrendous and fast-moving storms, and additionally stretches the fabric of space-time itself. Ultimately, the conditions of Amaevum led to the evolution of Chrodiacs into beings capable of moving through time, which allows them to effectively dodge objects hurled at them in the planet's storms by skipping a few seconds into the future.
Because of the constant storms, Amaevum's plant life is mostly limited to more protected canyons and valleys, where dense forests and jungles grow. This is where the Chrodiacs live most of their lives. Given the bleak nature of their homeworld, Chrodiacs decorate their forest homes with bright colours and lights and have a lot of gatherings to have fun together.

- Created as an entry in the Alien Creation Contest of Fall Fanon Con 2021.
- Although Skip-n-Beat is purple, there are a number of different fur colour variants of Chrodiacs, such as blue, yellow, orange, etc.
- I had a lot of ideas for how Skip-n-Beat was going to look, but ultimately the imagery of a planet of alien Care Bears orbiting a black hole was too much to resist.
