|“||I've been me my whole life, and I've had these powers for I don't know how long, and I read books, I build computers, and yeah I would love to play football. But I couldn't then so I shouldn't now. I know I'm different, but I can't tell anybody that, so I'm not. When you can do the things that I can, but you don't, and then the bad things happen, they happen because of you.||”|
Simon Masterson is the main protagonist of Alien Matrix. He is a teenager who was experimented on by the Rooters for Project Omega and was given the ability to turn into various alien species at will. He uses his newfound powers for good while trying to discover other special abilities he has.
Powers and Abilities
As a result of experimentation by the Rooters as part of Project Omega by implanting nanobots in his system containing DNA of various alien species, as well as the Omnimatrix implanted in his brain to help control them, Simon has the special ability to modify his own genetic code in order to turn into aliens at will, similar to how Ben Tennyson uses the Omnitrix to change into aliens; however, unlike Ben, Simon can simply think of which alien to turn into and is not limited to how long he stays in said form.
When transforming into an alien, Simon gets all the alien's features, including its appearance, voice, all of its unique and special abilities and powers, strengths and weaknesses. Though he mostly retains his personality, there are some cases where the transformation causes change in it.
The Omnimatrix also has a built-in Universal Translator, allowing Simon to mentally understand and openly communicate with aliens who don't speak English.
- Simon is primarily based on Spider-Man from Marvel Comics, in terms of appearance, history, and personality.
- He's also similar to Wolverine, as both are experimented on by an evil organization and turned into super-soldiers.
