Shmumbus is the Omnitrix's sample of a Quablambosapien from the planet Mumbo. He is one of Flys aliens.
Appearance[]
Shmumbus is a fat, pink, cat-like alien covered head to toe in glowing purple runes that dig into his body. He has 3 multi-coloured feathers on his head, vaguely resembling fish. He wears an apron-like skirt around his waist. He does not have a visible mouth. The Omnitrix is on his right hand.
Powers and Abilities[]
Shmumbus's main power is to channel magic through chants & the runes on his body. This is known as "ancient shaman magic" to him. By chanting any combination of the runes on his body, Shmumbus can cast a spell that will do practically anything for him, like heal allies, shape terrain or
Shmumbus comes with automatic knowledge on how to perform magic due to the knowledge being engrained into the Quablambosapien's brains. This knowledge is quite rudimentary, but can be honed & strengthened with practice.
Shmumbus can translate magical runes & speak their language. This is how he actually casts his spells.
Weaknesses[]
Shmumbus cannot directly use his magic to bring harm to anyone. He is capable of harming others with the consequences caused by his magic, but he cannot directly hurt anyone with a laser beam or something.
Larger-scale, more complex spells may need extra supplies or materials as a "sacrifice" to cast it. Furthermore, it might need an entirely new rune to be drawn out onto a surface to be cast.
Shmumbus is incredibly reliant on his magic to defend himself. If he were to encounter someone immune to magic & mana as a whole, he would be royally fucked
Etymology[]
Shmumbus is just a gibberish word made up by TheHedgeMan one time as a joke. In canon, Ogre came up with the name for Shmumbus.
History[]
Shmumbus was unlocked from the active playlist upon fly recieving the Omnitrix^2 from Azmuth.
He was first used to save Jo Trout from dehydrating on land, as Shmumbus created a pocket of water for him to breathe in.
Shmumbus's second use was to help prove Ogre's hypothesis about Extension Cord's adaptation powers right or wrong, as he had noticed a physical change in the transformation since his initiall use. He intended to cast a spell that would strike him with thunder, but accidentally created a tornado instead.

- Shmumbus was chosen by Ogre as an alien for Fly's playlist
- Shmumbus was a name Ogre came up with for one of Fish's transformation, Asterophora, but was quickly rejected
- According to Azmuth, Shmumbus is No. 540,007 in the Codon Stream
- Shmumbus was heavily inspired by Mumbo Jumbo from Banjo-Kazooie because his name reminded me of him
- Shmumbus was supposed to resemble a carp streamer, but I couldn't find a way to make a good design based on them so I just kinda slapped a bunch of coloured fish on his head
