New York City
December 31, 2026, 11:19 PM EST

[The camera shows the New Year's Eve party in New York City. There are tens of thousands of people lining the streets, listening to concerts and celebrating the end of the year while waiting for the ball to drop. The camera shows Hank Devon standing on the top of a building overlooking the people below him. He stands with his back to the edge, facing the camera.]

[Devon]: ...and we are now just about 40 minutes away from the end of 2026, so normally, we'd take a look back at the best and worst things to happen this year, but this year is different. A couple days ago, one of the best things that arguably could have happened this year finally happened; the Haven, the so-called "planet in the sky", left the Earth after a brief series of extreme weather occurred around the world. Now, while it's still unclear if these events are related, the governments and people of the planet are breathing a sigh of relief tonight. The Haven was here for almost twelve and a half years, officially arriving on July 21, 2014, and and officially leaving 4542 days later on December 27.

[He stops walking at the corner of the building.]

[Devon]: This doesn't necessarily mean that the Earth's alien problems are over, but with the Plumbers having, for the most part, complied with the United Nations' request to have them leave the planet, it may mean a surprising shift in activity. Whether that shift will be for better or for worse is still unclear, but that's something that we shouldn't worry about. We have learned a lot from all of the alien activity over the past 12 years or so, and that has made us stronger and more united as humans. This has been Hank Devon reporting in New York City; now to Emily Porter, also reporting in New York City. Emily...

[The camera cuts to Emily Porter, standing on the side of the street. She walks down the sidewalk as the cameraman in front of her backs away. Most of the people are standing in the actual street, and there are police barriers creating a boundary between the sidewalk and the street.]

[Porter]: Thanks Hank. The one man who would be affected by these recent events the most, the man who was so against that Plumbers, Damian Walker, actually has not appeared publicly since the Haven disappeared, and none of his spokespersons could be reached for comment. It's strange for the Secretary-General to not comment on such a massive event as the departure of the Haven, but world leaders are urging us tonight that, regardless of what Walker says, the Haven leaving is certainly a good thing...

[She trails off as the camera pans up to the sky. For the first time in the series, the moon alone shines in the skies above the Earth. The camera cuts to Lunaris on the Haven, specifically the ArcTech building. The camera then cuts inside, showing Damian Walker sitting at his desk, with Amon Set standing across from him, with a bit of space in between; otherwise, the room is empty. The Salimorian closes a feed from Midnight City News just as the story about Damian ends.]

Lunaris
December 31, 2026, 11:24 PM EST

[Amon Set]: When are you going to comment on the Haven leaving?

[Damian]: I will comment in due time, Amon. You know that we have other plans for tonight, and it's not unbelievable that the Secretary-General would be unavailable for comment at the end of the year. Everyone has to have a vacation every now and then, right?

[Amon Set]: Most Secretaries-General spend their vacations differently then you do.

[Damian]: I'll give you that, for sure...

[He looks at his watch.]

[Damian]: It's about time... Open the portal...

[Amon Set]: Finally.

[He makes another holographic screen appear in front of him. He presses a button on the screen, making a portal appear to his left, or to Damian's right.]

[Damian]: You remember our true objective?

[Amon Set]: Of course...

[Damian stands up and walks over to the portal. Before walking in, he turns to Amon Set.]

[Damian]: Accomplish that first, and then you can have as much fun as you want...

[He walks through the portal, and then Amon Set walks through it moments later. The portal closes behind them as the camera cuts to the Plumbers' Galactic-Command, specifically the open area between the inner buildings of the headquarters. Some Plumbers can be seen walking between buildings as a portal opens up. Damian Walker exits the portal, and the Plumbers simply turn at him, not recognizing him. Moments later, Amon Set walks out of the portal, and Damian looks back at him.]

[Damian]: ...destroying the Plumbers' HQ!

[Theme Song]

Naran Manos
December 31, 2026, 11:41 PM EST

[The camera shows the whole of Naran Manos before showing a building in the middle of a small city on the planet. The camera cuts into a room in the building, which appears to be similar to a hotel. In the room, Paper and Polarys can be seen standing next to each other, looking out the window. Both of them look depressed over the events of the last couple days.]

[Polarys]: Have you thought of anything? I haven't.

[Paper, disappointed]: No... Somehow I just get the feeling that we're running out of time.

[Polarys]: What about the special arrows you had? Would those work?

[Paper]: They'll probably work on the nanochips, but not the deities. Even if we free the Plumbers from control of the chips, they'll still be under the control of the deities.

[She looks down at the Aurora and Naran Manotizes on the street. She grabs Paper's hand and holds it in hers.]

[Polarys]: You know that I love you, Paper, but right now I just feel a bit overwhelmed. More has happened to me in the last six months than I could have ever imagined, by far more than everything that happened in the first 28 years of my life.

[She turns to Paper.]

[Paper]: I know you didn't ask for this, Polarys, but look at me. I didn't ask to have my parents killed, I didn't ask to be the Guardian, but if those things hadn't happened, I wouldn't have met you. Sometimes, life is rough, I know, but you just have to keep moving on... You said it yourself a couple days ago, just look forward and keep running.

[She looks deeply into his eyes and then leans in to kiss him on the lips, but stops just before she does.]

[Polarys]: No, not when we're fighting for our lives. We can celebrate the moment later...

[She wraps her arms around him.]

[Polarys]: But this doesn't help us solve our problem...

[Paper puts his arms around Polarys and stands silently, thinking about his team under the influence of the deities and the nanochips. Coincidentally, on the street below them, a portal opens up, and the members of the team start to rush out. Paper and Polarys do not notice at first, but one by one, the members of the team arrive out of the portal and begin to attack the Aurora and Naran Manotizes as they walk by. Sci can be seen jumping out of the portal, his eyes glowing light blue. He blasts a wave of ice around him, completely freezing groups of Manotizes around him. Will jumps out of the portal, eyes glowing red as he shoots large waves of fire out of his hands. Hornbok, the last of the Plumbers to arrive, spews a giant stream of ice as his eyes glow light blue just like Sci's. After him, Thebes, Abbaddon, and Hathus Set quietly exit the portal as it closes behind them. They silently observe the destruction that their army of Plumbers is causing. By now, Paper and Polarys have noticed the team and quickly rush away from the window to avoid being spotted.]

[Paper]: We're super lucky that they came here... Is this really their plan? Go from planet to planet and attack them? Or are they just killing time?

[Polarys]: We're also lucky that they didn't see us...

[Paper]: True. This also confirms that we're running out of time; we need to think of something to due and fast...

[Polarys]: About the deities...? You still have no idea where they are from, do you?

[Paper, eyes widening]: No, I don't... Do you?

[Polarys]: No, but I was just thinking... The Vivoserians built the Haven, right? They could be Vivoserian deities, but Vivox is destroyed, so let's hope that that's not the case. The next most likely race to worship these deities would be... the Veloans! After all, they were the ones who converted the Haven into a satellite for refugees...

[Paper]: Polarys... I could kiss you right now... Get a portal ready, I want one shot at Thebes...

[She leans in and kisses him on the cheek as Paper draws his bow and prepares an explosive arrow. He carefully aims at Thebes, who continues to watch the destruction. Paper fires the arrow, but a stream of ice suddenly blocks it out of nowhere, causing the explosion to occur a lot closer to the building than Paper had prepared for. He is forced back by the explosion.]

[Polarys]: Let's--

[Paper, urgently]: Quiet...

[He quickly grabs another arrows and aims it at the window. Thebes walks into the room, and Paper immediately fires an arrow at him. Thebes slashes his sword, cutting the arrow, but the explosive still manages to ignite, knocking Thebes clear out of the room. Slick forms an sheet underneath his feet as he runs up and catches Thebes. Slick slides to a half, as Thebes drops down onto the sheet of ice and jumps back into the building. He lands on the floor, but notices that Paper and Polarys are gone. He grunts and then turns to Slick, nodding to tell him to continue the attack. He places his hand on his chin, trying to think of where the two escapees could have gone. The camera cuts back to Galactic-Command. Amon Set fires a rocket out of a blaster, causing a group of Plumbers, mostly scientists to scatter. Zyfer, Striys, and a couple other Plumbers can be seen running towards Amon Set as he continues this rampage.]

[Striys]: An intruder? How? No one from the outside has ever gotten into Galactic-Command.

[Zyfer]: Until now... If you're that curious as to how he got in, we'll just have to defeat him and ask him.

[Striys covers his arms in a layer of iron and then jumps at Amon Set, punching him directly in at the face. He jumps back and punches at him again, but Amon grabs him by the wrist and spins him around, throwing him into the Plumbers. One of the Plumbers catches Striys, helps him regain his balance, forms wings, and then lunges Amon Set. The Salimorian tries to draw a zanbato, but the Plumber forms claws and scratches at Amon's arm, making him let go of the sword and pull his arm back in a quick jab of pain. He grunts and then punches at the Plumber, who jumps back and then jumps up and kicks Amon Set in the face. Before he can get away, Amon grabs him by the leg and throws him into the ground. The other two Plumbers in the group, one male and one female, run up to Amon Set. The female turns invisible as the male sends a stream of electricity at Amon Set, slowing him down. Striys and Zyfer simply watch the other three Plumbers continue to fight Amon Set, and then constantly manage to stay one step ahead of him.]

[Striys]: Who are these guys?

[Zyfer]: That's Commander Sif...

[The camera shows the Plumbers who was electrocuting Amon Set. He jumps over the Salimorian and places his hands on the brute's jetpacks, seemingly doing nothing. Moments, later the jetpack turns on, forcing Amon forwards.]

[Zyfer]: He's a master of technology...

[The camera shows Amon flying forward. The female Plumber reappears in front of him, quickly draws her two katanas, and slashes Amon Set with one of them, knocking him to the side.]

[Zyfer]: That's Sergeant Nicole... Half-human, Half-pnoserna, she can turn invisible, and has trained for years to master the art of dual katanas.

[Amon Set manages to detach his jetpack. He falls to the ground and slides for a while as the jetpack sputters off to the side. He rolls to the side to avoid a slash from the last of the Plumbers. Amon quickly gets up and then quick draws a short sword to counter the attacks.]

[Zyfer]: That's 1st Officer Reon... With his wings and claws, in addition to his master swordsman skills, he is one tough guy...

[He manages to slash the short sword directly out of Amon Set's hands. The Salimorian turns around and notices that Sif is standing behind him. Nicole also walks over and approaches the bounty hunter from the side.]

[Zyfer]: These are the top students from each of the last three classes...

[Zyfer turns around and sees more Plumbers arriving, including Magister Jopius, Magister Loy and Assistant Magister Lorak.]

[Loy]: What is going on here?

[Zyfer]: Don't worry, they've got it under control...

[Striys]: There was someone else though... I think it was Damian, the same guy who kicked the Plumbers off of Earth...

[Sif, shouting to Striys]: He was here, but he ran towards the barracks building...

[Sif shoots a blast of electricity at Amon Set, easily overpowering him. As the three top graduates continue to fight the Salimorian, Zyfer, Striys, Jopius, Loy, and Lorak run off towards the barracks.]

[Striys]: What could he be doing in the barracks?

[Zyfer]: No idea...

[Even though he says this, he has a look on his face that says that he might have some idea as to what Damian is doing. The camera to inside the barracks. Damian is walking down the hallway. Several of the doors behind him have been burst open, and as Damian arrives at the next room, he kicks down the door and looks inside.]

[Damian]: Wrong room...

[The camera cuts to him kicking down the door to another room and looking inside.]

[Damian]: Wrong again...

[The camera cuts again to him arriving at yet another room. He kicks down the door and looks inside.]

[Damian]: Found it...

[He turns the light in the room and looks around. There are two beds, a desk, and a table with two chairs at it. There is also a small closet that is mostly empty. He looks in the closet but then turns back. He looks underneath the beds and in the drawers of the desk, but doesn't find anything.]

[Damian]: It's not here...

[Zyfer, entering the room]: You'll never find it, Damian...

[Damian]: You must be Zyfer...

[He turns around and grins at the Head Magister of the Plumbers.]

[Damian]: I've heard about you, but I believe this is the first time we've actually met... And actually you are wrong...

[He laughs.]

[Damian]: I know it's here somewhere... I will find the Solvens Tenebrae Vestibulum

[Commercial]

[The camera cuts to Paper and Polarys standing in a house on Vallion. The house is empty, but there is evidence that someone was in the house at least within the last couple weeks. They look around at different artifacts lying about the house, none of which appear to be special in any way.]

Vallion
January 1, 2027, 4:19 AM EST

[Polarys]: Are you sure this is the right house?

[Paper]: I'm positive... It just feels right...

[He looks around the room he is standing in and then walks into another room and finds Polarys.]

[Paper]: But there's nothing in here about the deities...

[Polarys]: And you have no idea where else we could look?

[Paper]: We should stay here for just a little bit longer. We've been here for long enough that it should just be a matter of time before...

[The sound of footsteps can be heard. Paper turns around and sees Virton, with Hannibal just behind him.]

[Virton]: Guardians...? What do you need?

[Paper]: Virton, it's been a while... We didn't really get much time to catch up last time we saw each other...

[Virton]: Cut to the point, I'm not in the mood...

[Paper]: How much do you know about Veloan deities?

[Virton stares at Paper for a moment and smiles.]

[Virton]: I'm surprised you didn't ask about this sooner...

[Paper]: We didn't know enough about the vials to figure out what the Elite were getting our of their alliances... You could have told us...

[Virton]: I could have... but, after all, you didn't ask...

[Polarys, confused]: Aren't you supposed to be on our side?

[Virton, impatient]: I am, I am... Truth be told, I know very little about the Veloan deities... I do know that they are in fact that the only two that are known to still be alive are on the Haven... Solaris and Lunaris, the Fire and Ice deities...

[Paper]: How do we stop them?

[Virton]: I told you that I know very little... I think I forget everything about them long ago...

[Everything is quiet for a moment.]

[Hannibal]: I know where we might be able to find out more, though...

[Paper]: Could you take us there?

[Hannibal]: I'm not sure if we'll find anything, but there's supposedly a complete record of all of Veloan history beneath the royal castle... If something exists with information about the deities, it's almost guaranteed to be there...

[The camera cuts to Paper, Polarys, Virton, and Hannibal running through the streets of a city on Vallion. The royal castle can be seen a short distance away.]

[Virton]: So all of the other Plumbers were put under influence of the nanochips, and then Thebes, Abbaddon, and Hathus Set tricked Solaris and Lunaris into controlling them?

[Paper]: That's what we think...

[Hannibal]: And you also think they're going from planet to planet, attacking civilians for no real reason?

[Polarys]: Yes, they came to Naran Manos while we were staying there...

[Virton]: Well they haven't been on Vallion, we would have heard about an attack...

[They slow down as they arrive at the castle. The wall surrounding it is mostly destroyed, and the four just walk right up to the castle.]

[Polarys]: It looks... abandoned?

[Virton]: Vallion has been in disarray for centuries... The royal family went into hiding one day, and by now it's very likely that they're still alive... I was gone for so long, Hannibal was, too, and there is basically no one else willing to help the planet escape its misery...

[He stops walking as everything suddenly dims.]

[Virton]: Did it just get darker?

[Polarys]: And colder...?

[The four turn around and look up at the sky. The Haven can be seen starting to approach the planet.]

[Paper, not surprised]: Of course... With the Phantom and the Phantress controlling the Haven, of course they would bring it to Vallion... That was there entire reason for acquiring the Haven, to get revenge on the Veloans for nearly wiping out their race...

[Virton]: I know you want to help your friends, but Vallion--

[Paper]: No, I'm sorry, but I've got an idea... You two stay here, Polarys and I will go into the history records and find whatever it is that we're looking for...

[Virton]: But--

[Paper]: If the Phantom destroys the planet, we'll be back to square one on helping the Plumbers...

[Virton, angry]: Fine, but hurry...

[Paper nods his head. He picks up Polarys and runs into the castle as Virton and Hannibal stare at the Haven as it approaches the planet. The camera cuts to the Vault on Hophopris, where the Phantom and the Phantress are standing, viewing the planet from a distance as the Haven approaches it.]

Hophopris
January 1, 2027, 4:44 AM EST

[Phantom]: At long last... revenge is ours...

[The camera cuts back to Galactic-Command. Damian is still standing in the room, and Zyfer, Striys, Jopius, Loy, and Lorak are standing across from him.]

[Zyfer]: Like I said before, you won't find it... But that raises another question: how did you find Galactic-Command?

[Damian]: Plumbers need to pay more attention... You maintain databases on Earth, correct?

[Zyfer]: At a select few locations, yes, you can access the entire Plumbers' database.

[Damian]: Remember back to a few months ago, an attack at Cape Canaveral... Thebes, Abbaddon, Hathus Set, and Colossus landed near the base, but it was really just a diversion for a couple Rotolysians to sneak in, access the Plumbers' database, and acquire the frequency for the pocket dimension where Galactic-Command is located...

[He quickly looks behind him and sees Sif, Nicole, and Reon continue to dominate Amon Set in their fight.]

[Damian]: It would be a waste of time for me to leave without taking anything...

[Striys]: You're surrounded, Damian...

[Damian]: I don't think you understand the meaning of the word surrounded...

[He quickly thrusts the window open and then jumps out the window. The Plumbers rush forward and watch him plummet to the ground, but moments before he lands, he suddenly stops in place. The camera cuts down to ground level, revealing that he is wearing modified shoes with small rockets at the bottom of them. He simply grins as he drops to the ground.]

[Damian]: Amon, we're leaving...

[Amon Set]: That's a shame, what a waste of time...

[Damian opens a portal in front of him and walks through it. Amon rushes over and flies through it just as it closes. Sif, Nicole, and Reon arrive at the portal moments to late, as it has already closed. The three Magisters and Assistant Magister look down from the building in disappointment as the camera cuts to Paper and Polarys standing at the top of a staircase somewhere in the royal castle on Vallion. They hold hands as they stare into the darkness of the cellar.]

[Paper]: The history records... are down there?

[Polarys grabs Paper's hand as the two start to walk down the staircase. It gets darker and darker as they go down, but Polarys creates a small orb of golden energy to light the path. As they continue to walk, Paper looks at Polarys; she looks very worried.]

[Paper]: There's nothing down here to be worried about...

[Polarys]: I'm not worried about anything down here... I'm worried about the whole planet; the Phantom could use the Haven to destroy it at any moment... And even if we do find a way to stop the deities, how are we ever going to find the Plumbers again?

[Paper widens his eyes.]

[Paper]: I love you...

[Polarys]: What did I...?

[As they continue to walk down the stairs, Paper takes out his Plumbers' badge.]

[Polarys]: You're going to track them with the badges?

[Paper]: I'm going to contact them... Thebes probably confiscated their badges, so contacting them would allow to talk directly to Thebes...

[Polarys]: And if he knew the Haven was on Vallion...

[Paper]: Exactly...

[He holds the communicator out in front of him as the two continue to walk down the stairs.]

[Paper]: Now quiet... Contact Hornbok, voice-call only...

[After a few moments, sure enough, Thebes responds on the other end.]

[Thebes]: Hornbok is unavailable right now... Who am I talking to?

[Paper]: Thebes...

[Thebes]: Paper. You left Naran Manos before I could kill you...

[Paper]: I thought you would love to know that the Haven is on Vallion...

[The camera cuts to Thebes, still on Naran Manos. He is completely shocked as he stares motionless into the distance.]

[Paper]: I've got to go, but I'll see you around...

[The call ends and Thebes lets out a scream of anger.]

[Thebes]: Abbaddon, Hathus, we're going to Vallion...

[Hathus]: Why would we go to Vallion?

[Thebes]: The Haven is there...

[Aurora Manotize]: No way!

[Naran Manotize #1]: The Haven moved again?

[Naran Manotize #2]: And it's on Vallion?

[Thebes, shouting to his army]: We're leaving, now!

[He looks around at the destruction his army as caused as one by one they all begin to approach him as the camera cuts back to Paper and Polarys. They have made it to the bottom of the staircase and are now looking around at the Vallion history records.]

[Polarys]: We're never going to find anything in all of this...

[Paper]: You never know...

[Suddenly, his Plumbers' badge starts to beep.]

[Paper, wondering]: Who would be contacting me?

[He answers the call.]

[Paper]: Hello?

[The camera cuts to Ben Tennyson, standing just outside the Gigatellum in his human form. Gwen Tennyson, Kevin Levin, Rook, and Ester are all standing near him.]

Outside Solaris
January 1, 2027, 5:01 AM EST

[Ben Tennyson]: Finally, I got through; you would not believe how many people I contacted before you finally responded...

[Paper]: Actually I would believe. The rest of the team is being controlled by nanochips...

[Ben Tennyson]: I was just calling to let you know that the Haven is on Vallion...

[Paper]: I know, I'm on Vallion! In fact, Thebes, Abbaddon, and Hathus Set will soon arrive on Vallion with the entire controlled team.

[Ben Tennyson]: How can I help?

[Paper]: Look, it's a long story, but until I contact you again, you need to make sure that Vallion is not destroyed...

[Ben Tennyson]: Of course...

[The camera cuts back to Paper as he tries to rummage through all of the books while also talking to Ben. He looks over at Polarys, who is also looking through the books, and then looks back at the pile of books.]

[Paper]: It's good to always have someone you can trust, tha--

[Polarys, excited]: Paper...

[Paper looks at Polarys, who is holding a book. He rushes over and looks at it, but it is written in an unknown language.]

[Paper]: I can't read that...

[Polarys]: It's written in Dolirac, a common language shared by most planets... It roughly translates to "The Eight Deities of Vallion"

[She opens the front cover and notices a compartment in it. She opens it and then looks inside. She turns the opening upside down, and a dusty flute falls out of it.]

[Polarys]: A flute?

[Paper picks the flute up off the ground as Polarys begins to read from the book.]

[Polarys]: Eight deities... Unknown species...

[She begins to flip throughout the book.]

[Polarys]: Deities of Fire, Ice, Wind, Earth, Light, Darkness, Sound, and Magic... Here it is, the Flute...

[Paper]: What about it?

[Polarys]: It says right here: "In order to defeat the deities, one must play the flute in front of them. Doing so will extract the deities from whatever bodies they inhabit, and if the song is finished, it will result in the ultimate destruction of whatever deities can hear it.

[She turns the page. There are music staves for a song. Paper holds the flute in his hand and looks at the music.]

[Paper]: I think I can remember this.

[Polarys]: We can bring the book with us.

[Paper]: Yes, but I won't be able to hold it while playing the flute at the same time.

[Polarys]: Who ever said you have to play it?

[Paper]: Polarys, I'm playing the flute.

[Polarys]: I understand.

[He hands the flute to Polarys, who holds it in one hand while she holds the book in the other. Paper picks her up and then dashes up the stairs as the camera cuts above ground. Thebes, Abbaddon, and Hathus Set have arrived, and the entire team is standing behind them, waiting to attack. Virton and Hannibal stand across from them, preparing for the fight. In the sky above, the Haven finally rests in place, close enough for the Gigatellum to just barely be seen by the naked eye. Thebes looks up at the Haven as the camera cuts to the Vault. The Phantom and the Phantress can see the fight from overhead play out on the screen in front of them.]

[Phantom]: And now, after months of senseless fighting... It all ends...

[He grins as the camera cuts to black.]

[Commercial]

[The camera shows a direct view of Virton and Hannibal standing across from Thebes, Abbaddon, Hathus Set, and the controlled team behind them.]

[Thebes]: Kill the Veloans... After that, find Paper and Polarys and bring them to me...

[As soon as he finishes, the Plumbers start to charge at Virton and Hannibal, who charge back, swords raised. The young villains step back and simply watch as the fight begins in front of them.]

[Thebes]: This is the perfect situation. Only four people stand in my way: Virton, Hannibal, Paper, and Polarys. The Haven may be here, but I'm confident that the Phantom won't attack unless provoked...

[Abbaddon]: And if he does attack?

[Thebes]: Then we all die...

[He watches in front of him as he sees Virton and Hannibal immediately get overpowered by the shear number of recruits. Virton slashes at Sci and manages to knock him back, but Bink and Nick run in, each blasting Virton with a stream of ice, freezing his legs solid. Hannibal slices him free, but then gets blasted by a stream of fire from the usually cold-powered Ivada. As the fight continues, the camera cuts to Paper running through the castle while carrying Polarys. He turns a corner as he continues for the exit.]

[Polarys]: I thought of something, Paper: what about the nanochips? If you play the flute, how will you also be able to also shoot the antidote cartridges at all of the team?

[Paper]: You think you should play the flute?

[She nods her head. Paper looks at her straight in the eyes.]

[Paper]: Just be careful...

[She smiles as Paper looks ahead and sees the door to the castle just in front of him. As they emerge from the castle, they see Virton and Hannibal completely surrounded by the team. Paper sets Polarys on the ground, as Thebes notices Paper and Polarys from across the castle grounds.]

[Thebes, half-angry, half-worried]: Finish the Veloans off and get the Plumbers already!

[Paper]: Yeah, just like that, send them right at me...

[He draws one of the arrows with the cartridge and immediately fires it. It hits Brian, the first recruit out of the bunch, straight in the neck, knocking him to the ground. Paper fires three mores arrows which each hit Water, Cassie, and Paul, respectively. He continues to fires arrows, and each member of the team is shown getting hit.]

[Paper]: Now would be a great time to start playing that song of yours...

[Polarys]: I'm trying to remember it...

[She closes her eyes and thinks for a moment before opening her eyes wide and raising the flute to her mouth. Before she starts to play the song, the camera seems to randomly cut to the figure at the desk from The Pen at the Sword smiling in the dark, as if he can see the events unfold in front of him. The camera cuts back to Vallion as Polarys starts to play the song. As she plays it, all of the members of the team who have absorbed bits of Solaris and Lunaris start to cry out in pain. Paper fires the last remaining arrows as Polarys continues to play the song. He rushes forward to fight Thebes, Abbaddon, and Hathus Set, and Virton and Hannibal happily join him. He jumps at Thebes and throws a punch at him, but Thebes dodges to the side and then turns around as he draws his sword. Paper fires an arrow at Thebes, but he again deflects it with his sword. Paper ditches the bow, runs at Thebes, and jumps to kick at him, but Thebes jumps as well to avoid. Paper lands and then rolls to the side to avoid a jab from Thebes' sword. He bursts back and then bursts forward, knocking Thebes over as he slides across the ground. Next to him, he sees Virton fighting Abbaddon. The ancient hero slashes his sword at the young villain, but Abbaddon dodges to the side and blasts Abbaddon with a stream of pure dark magic. Virton blocks with his sword and then thrusts forward, slashing his sword at Abbaddon and then jumping forward to slash again as Abbaddon avoids. A missile launched by Hathus Set passes right behind him, which causes him to turn and sees Hannibal and Hathus Set fighting. Abbaddon then kicks Virton to the side, but he counters with a slash that hits Abbaddon straight on the arm, knocking him down. He looks and sees Hathus fire rocket after rocket at Hannibal, but he slices each one down with a sword of his own. Virton joins the fight and jumps at Hathus, causing her to dodge to the side. As she dodges Virton, Hannibal lunges her, knocking her back.]

[Paper, meanwhile, is still locked in combat with Thebes. He avoids sword slash after sword slash and then looks back and sees Polarys, still playing the flute. He rolls to avoid another slash as he watches the rest of his team, still crying out in pain over the effects of the song. He turns and sees Thebes rushing at him, so he backflips as Thebes lunges forward. Lotin's son turns around to attack Paper again, but the lieutenant jumps and instantly roundhouses him in the head, knocking him to the ground.]

[Paper]: A bit of advice, don't get overconfident...

[As the song gets close to finishing, either a red or a blue spark begins to emerge from each of the members of the team. All of the blue sparks and all of the red sparks start to merge together by color, forming what appears to be the true forms of the true deities. The forms quickly start to destabilize, which worries Paper. He looks at Polarys as the two cloud-like objects start to slowly approach her. He closes his eyes, fearing what might happen next. Polarys looks forwards as the song draws to close, seeing the deities start to accelerate towards her. She finishes the song as she braces for impact, but Paper rushes in, jumps over the clouds of energy, landing in front of her just before they arrive, causing them to hit him instead of her. Polarys holds the last note of the song out as she watches Paper cry out in pain from absorbing the two deities completely. Soon, the nightmare ends as Paper drops to the ground, barely conscious. Polarys finishes the song, drops the flute, and catches Paper before he completely collapses on the ground. She looks in front of her and sees all the members of the team slowly start to stand up and begin to recover from being influenced by the deities and controlled by the nanochips. The camera cuts to the Phantom and the Phantress in the Vault, having just watched the situation unfold on the screen at the front of the room.]

[Phantom]: I'm not sure what to think of this...

[Phantress]: Are you going to fire now?

[Phantom]: Not until the Plumbers leave...

[Phantress]: They know that it's our goal to get revenge on Vallion, which means they won't leave until the Haven is gone or we've abandoned it...

[Phantom]: I suppose your right... Well, another day it is, then...

[He drops a small orb, which turns into a warp portal that the two Axillia walk through before it closes and the camera cuts back to Vallion. The team is now returning to normal. Hornbok is walking around, thinking about the situation.]

[Hornbok, angry]: ...And how did Thebes, Abbaddon, and Hathus Set manage to get away?

[Sci]: Relax Hornbok, we've won the day, don't worry about tomorrow...

[Hornbok]: That's one way to look at it...

[He turns to Paper, who is still sitting on the ground facing Polarys in front of him. His eyes are barely open and he appears to be in a great deal of pain. Polarys starts to tear up as she looks at him, worried. He leans up and looks at her, smiling. He leans in and kisses her on the lips as she closes her eyes and embraces the kiss. Bink sees them, rolls her eyes, and then looks at Will and Cassie, who look at her, knowing that the three will continue to investigate the Solvens Tenebrae Vestibulum. The camera cuts to Virton and Hannibal walking over to Hornbok.]

[Virton]: What about the Haven? It could fire at any moment.

[Hornbok]: Who is even controlling the Haven to make it come to Vallion?

[Virton]: The Phantom, at least according to Thebes, who would know better than I.

[Hornbok, worried]: No...

[Suddenly, Hornbok's Plumbers' badge beeps. He answers the call.]

[Hornbok]: Magister Hornbok speaking...

[Wozorin]: Hornbok, you responded...

[Hornbok, relieved]: Wozorin...

[Wozorin]: You wouldn't believe it, Hornbok. I finally got back into the Vault in Hophopris, and for whatever reason, the Phantom and Phantress are gone... I guess you never even knew that they were here, but can you believe it? They just left.

[Hornbok looks at Virton and Hannibal, who both appear to breath a sigh of relief.

[The camera cuts to the entire group of Plumbers, along with Polarys, Virton, and Hannibal assembled in the government building on Hophopris. The team is scattered throughout the room where Sesirus, Wozorin, and Hornbok were talking into Now You Sea Me.]

[Sci]: Okay, could someone explain what happened the last couple of days to us? Preferably one of the two people who was actually conscious of their actions...

[Paper]: Well, Thebes originally waited for orders from Elena Validus before placing the vials in the underground temple to release Solaris and Lunaris, the Veloan Fire and Ice Deities, but eventually, Thebes placed the vials anyway, either because she ordered him to or because he was also given orders to place them a certain amount of time after arriving at the temple, regardless of the status of the team.

[Polarys]: Once the deities were freed, they jumped at the bait of an army to control, not realizing that it would result in their indirect control by the nanochips. With an army at their hands, Thebes and the others went from planet to planet, attacking cities for no apparent reason. Paper and I realized this when they happened to come to Naran Manos while we were there trying to stay away from them.

[Paper]: To make a long story short, we decided to check Vallion because we figured the deities might be from there, we met up with Virton and Hannibal, went to the Veloan history records at the abandoned castle, found a book containing a flute and information about the deities, fought and defeated Thebes, Abbaddon, and Hathus Set, and then saved you guys, all while the Phantom and Phantress managed to move the Haven from the Earth to Vallion to attempt their revenge on the Veloans.

[Hornbok]: Speaking of that, Wozorin and Sesirus are on their way.

[Hornbok's Plumbers' badge beeps again.]

[Hornbok, tired]: Who is that now?

[He answers the call.]

[Hornbok]: Hello?

[Zyfer, responding in voice only]: Oh good, you're safe...

[Hornbok]: You knew?

[Zyfer]: Well you didn't respond for a couple days, so I figured something was up. Anyways, we had a little incident at Galactic-Command. Damian Walker and Amon Set were here.

[As he says this, all the Plumbers in Hophopris seem to be shocked by that news.]

[Hornbok, outraged]: What?

[The camera goes split screen between the Hophopris government building and Zyfer in Galactic-Command.

[Zyfer]: According to Damian, he acquired the frequency from the Rotolysians, who in turn acquired it from a Plumbers' database in Cape Canaveral during an attack a couple weeks ago.

[Ray, surprised]: So that's what they took! I didn't even know those computers were connected to the Plumbers' database. If I did, I would've told you...

[Zyfer]: Listen, it's not your fault, we should have never let computers outside of the Plumbers' network be granted access to the Plumbers' database. Anyways, the damage here is minor, and neither of them took anything, so it shouldn't be much of problem, and more incidents are unlikely.

[Hornbok]: If you say so...

[Hornbok closes his eyes briefly and then turns and sees Wozorin and Sesirus entering the room, with the latter still hurting from his stabs wounds. As Sesirus walks for a chair, Wozorin simply stops in place and looks across the room at Bink.]

[Wozorin]: Bink?

[Bink, confused]: Are you... Wozorin?

[Hornbok, realizing]: Wait...

[Wozorin]: Bink, it's good to finally see you again.

[Bink, still confused]: Who are you?

[Wozorin]: Of course you don't remember... I'm your mother.

[Bink looks at Wozorin like she is crazy.]

[Hornbok]: She's telling the truth... I think. I mean, your age is right, you have the same powers...

[Bink]: How do you know all of this?

[Hornbok]: Bink, your mother is an Aphyrian, a race coming from the same planet as my race, the Kraaho. Wozorin and I have been friends since our childhood. We went to school together and fell in love, but in our teen years, a conflict started to break out between the Aphyrians and the Kraaho. By the time we graduated school, we decided that it would be best to leave the planet entirely...

[Wozorin]: That was 34 years ago, but it feels like it wasn't too long ago... Continuing the story, we traveled the galaxy for a while, but just 2 years later, we decided to go to Earth, and unfortunately, when we arrived, our ship started to break up, and we became separated. I landed in the city of Arington, Texas, and when a full year passed without seeing Hornbok, I gave up. I met your father, fell in love, got married, and just a year later you were born...

[Hornbok]: Meanwhile, I landed in New Orleans just a couple hundred miles away. Like Wozorin, when a year passed without seeing her, I gave up, met Syla, got married, and then Syla got pregnant and had Ester. Soon, I decided to leave, but Syla and Ester decided to come with me.

[Wozorin]: I arrived back on our planet two years before Hornbok did, but I came alone. You were only 5, Bink, which is probably why you don't remember me.

[Hornbok]: So I arrived back on the planet and reunited with Wozorin, but we had grown apart. Two years after that, things changed for better or for worse, but that is a story for another day.

[Bink, to Wozorin]: I guess we have some catching up to do, then.

[Wozorin]: That we do...

[Hornbok]: Later, though... Now, if you don't mind me changing the subject... Sesirus, what happened to you?

[Sesirus]: Validus decided to stab me in the arm... I'll be alright, but I don't think I can take this job anymore.

[He smiles at the thought of retirement.]

[Sesirus]: And I know exactly who I want to replace me as commander of the Haven.

[He looks at Wozorin, who looks back at him with a smile. The camera cuts to Galactic-Command that night. Bink, Will, and Cassie are meeting in Will and Cassie's room. Bink is holding the Solvens Tenebrae Vestibulum and sitting on one bed as Will and Cassie sit next to each other on the other.]

[Bink]: ...and to top that off, we still have no idea where to find this door.

[Will]: We'll keep looking...

[Bink seems to be especially mad.]

[Will]: You mad about your mother?

[Bink, after sighing]: No...

[Cassie]: She's mad about Paper and Polarys...

[Bink, annoyed]: I am not...

[Cassie]: You rolled your eyes when you saw them kissing...

[Bink]: Uh, I--

[Cassie]: I'm only kidding... It's hard for me to understand how you must feel...

[Bink laughs as the camera cuts to Paper and Polayrs in their room. Polarys stands next to Paper as he looks at the open window in the room.]

[Polarys, worried]: You're wondering why the window is open?

[Paper doesn't respond at first. He closes the window and then turns around.]

[Paper]: I think Damian was in this room.

[He looks past Polarys at the empty desk, but he seems to have already noticed it.]

[Paper]: And I think he did take something...

[He stands in front of Polarys and holds her hands.]

[Paper]: But... It's not the time to worry about that...

[He sits down on one of the beds and then Polarys sits on his lap, straddling him. They kiss on the lips again as the camera zooms out and then cuts to Striys sitting at the desk in his office. Reon and Nicole are sitting on the other side of the desk as Sif opens the door to the office. He sits down at the final chair.]

[Striys]: Welcome you three, the top graduates from each of the last three years... You're a powerful trio...

[Sif]: What do you want, Striys?

[Striys]: You see, I'm growing angry at the way the Plumbers run their operations, so I've been thinking of forming my own team...

[Nicole]: Really, you, too? The three of us agree with each other that the Plumbers are becoming far too soft.

[Striys]: Excellent, I couldn't agree with you more...

[He stands up out of his chair.]

[Striys]: Then will you three join my new team?

[Reon]: I think, considering the recent events, that's an offer we can't refuse...

[Striys]: Wonderful... Then welcome to the recommissioned black ops. team.

[He grins as the camera cuts to darkness. Suddenly, a torch passes by the camera, revealing the Elite minus Blitz walking down a long hallway. They arrive at a door, similar to the Door of Ezanzi, but far smaller and less important. They open the door and enter the dark room on the other side. The voice of the figure that talked to Paradox in The Pen and the Sword booms at them from the other side.]

[Voice]: It took you six long enough...

[Lotin walks into the room with the torch. He shines it in the face of the figure. The figure's pen makes a quick motion across the open book, and an instant later the room becomes filled with light, finally revealing the appearance of the figure.]

[Lotin]: Has there ever been anything wrong with taking your time, Altor...?

[He grins.]

[Lotin]: Or should I say... Author of the Solvens Tenebrae Vestibulum?

[Altor]: You think yourself to be much wiser than you are, Lotin. You are mortal, and I could kill you in an instant...

[Lotin]: But you won't...

[Altor]: Of course not, it's more interesting not to.

[Altor grins just like Lotin.]

[Altor]: And as you have learned by now, making things interesting is the only thing that matters.

[He continues to grin and the camera cuts to black.]
