Scrubzytes are a sapient species from the planet Nael'Cixo from the Trixters Universe.
Appearance[]
Scrubzytes resemble bars of soap with singular eyes. They have little, flipper-like, nub hands on their sides. They have no visible mouth or legs, choosing instead to slide around on soap trails they produce. They come in various shades of pink, and their eye colours can be any colour on the visible light spectrum.
History[]
The Scrubzytes are the only sapient life on Nael'Cixo. They are believed to have only evolved sapience relatively recently, due to their underdeveloped body structure. They were initially an aquatic prey species, hunted by various predators as an easy food source. However, thanks to the chemicals in their oceans, they developed the ability to produce soap bubbles of varying densities. This ability allowed them to blind predators that came near them & then cause them to slip up on trails of soap, letting the Scrubzytes make a quick getaway. These bubbles also allowed them to hold water in their gills until they evolved into a land species. Over the last few thousand years, they developed sapient thought and have only recently been in contact with the rest of the Milky Way.
Behavior[]
They live in small villages atop towering hills, only leaving them to gather food. They are a fairly peaceful species, as they very rarely have to deal with predators. As mentioned before, some choose to live out in the vast, expansive oceans as nomads. This is considered taboo to most Scrubzytes, as it is generally considered to be incredibly dangerous out in the ocean. Few who choose this lifestyle rarely get the chance to rejoin civilisation.
A lot of their society is based around cleanliness. In fact, Scrubzytes are known by most of the Milky Way as the ones who've made the most potent detergents money can buy. Social class and popularity is determined typically by the cleanliness of ones body. Older folk are generally considered to be lower class citizens due to their weaker soap generation.
Diet[]
Scrubzytes are filter feeders, feeding on algae & plankton in water through pores in their skin. Since they have lost their ability to breathe underwater, they cannot feed for long, but make up for this by not needing to eat for long periods of time. Scrubzytes only need to eat once every month or two.
Powers and Abilities[]
Scrubzytes can generate soap bubbles from their body. They can be of varying sizes & they almost instantly clean whatever they cover. Their soap output decreases with age, with newborn Scrubzytes being able to output up to 10 gallons of soap per hour while elder Scrubzytes are only able to output less than half a litre.
Scrubzytes are innate experts at cleaning objects, thanks to their soap generation.
Scrubzytes primarily move around by producing trails of soap in front of them to slide on. This means they can also move quite fast.
Weaknesses[]
Scrubzytes have underdeveloped hands, which are only useful for producing soap & nothing else.
Scrubzytes have relatively weak body plans, which is again due to how primitive the species is.
Scrubzytes are weak to their natural predator, the Drownetrodon.
