Saki Boulais is an antagonistic character in Fen 10: The Kids Are Alright. She is the daughter of Julie and Hervé Boulais and is the leader amongst herself, Rachel Madler, and Aaliyah Thompson. She is a resident of the Slayer Dimension.
Appearance[]
Saki is 5'2 with tan skin and long straight black hair. She has brown eyes and her ears are pierced with silver studded earrings. She wears a simple light blue dress with a blue long sleeved half jacket and spandex shorts. She also wears knee high black converses and an opal necklace. Her nails are sometimes painted blue.
In gym class at school, Saki wears a white shirt with yellow trim and matching gym shorts.
At the beach she wears a blue one piece swimsuit with blue sunglasses and her hair tied in a low ponytail.
At night she wears a plain blue t-shirt and blue plaid pajama shorts.
Personality[]
Saki is a very two-faced girl. At home and around adults she acts like the sweetest most innocent girl in the world who could do no wrong. But at school and around her peers, she sticks exclusively to her friend group and looks down on everyone around her.
She specifically looks down on Fen Tennyson, despising his guts for the way she believes he picked on her when they were little kids. As a result, she now picks on him back and torments him daily at school, even targeting his friends.
Saki has developed a skewed perspective of aliens and hybrids thanks to the influence of Hervé's mother. Thanks to the beliefs her grandmother has passed down to her, Saki has said many unsavory things about aliens and hybrids, which causes further tension between her and Fen.
Despite this, Saki deeply loves the family pet, Ship, who is a Galvanic Mechamorph and could never believe anything her grandmother has told her could apply to Ship, implying that she does question what her grandmother says, at least to some degree.
Saki has also expressed some rather concerning behavior in regards to wanting to kill Fen, a threat she says she plans to follow through on in The Incident. This behavior only started due to Rachel's influence, who is rather violent herself.
History[]
Background[]
Saki was born to Julie and Hervé Boulais in Bellwood. She was originally friends with Ben and Rook's son, Fen, and by extension, Ester's daughter, Millie. She and Fen both had problems with pulling on things as kids. Fen would pull on Saki's hair and Saki would pull on Fen's tail. This always resulted in screaming and crying, and once they got a bit older they began telling on each other for it and would end up in trouble.
When Saki's paternal grandfather died when she was four, Julie and Hervé decided to move in with Hervé's mother in France. Saki was treated like a princess by her grandmother, but the constant tension between Julie and her mother-in-law resulted in the family moving back to Bellwood when Saki was eight.
Upon returning to Bellwood, neither Saki nor Fen could remember being friends, only that they picked on each other as little kids, causing them to be antagonistic towards each other when they met again. Instead, Saki became friends with Rachel Madler, a girl who also just moved to Bellwood from Montana. Rachel's violent tendencies rubbed off on Saki the more time they spent with each other.
In sixth grade, Saki met Aaliyah Thompson, complimented her nail polish, and invited Aaliyah to hang out with her and Rachel. The three of them became a trio from then on.
Fen 10: The Kids Are Alright[]
Saki was first seen in And Then There Was Fen, where she was participating in dodgeball with the rest of the class. She faked an injury then sat out of the game where she began arguing on the bleachers with Fen.
She did not reappear until The Incident where she approached Fen, Sven, and Millie with Aaliyah and Rachel and refused to believe Fen played any part in helping Ben 10 stop Charmcaster. She fawned over Miracle-M's assistance in the situation and was eventually struck in the knee by a locker door thanks to Sven using magic. Rachel informed her Fiona was passing by and she proceeded to leave with her friends to follow after Fiona.
Powers and Abilities[]
Just like Julie, Saki can have Ship envelop her in "battle mode". However, rather than becoming battle armor like for Julie, he becomes a mech suit for Saki. In the suit, she demonstrates enhanced strength and great damage resistance.
Saki can speak both English and French fluently. She also knows many words and phrases in Japanese, but cannot speak it fluently like the other two.
Weaknesses[]
Without Ship's assistance, Saki is only an ordinary human without any superhuman capabilities.
In "battle mode", if Ship gets paralyzed, so will Saki. Likewise, if Ship takes too much damage, he will come off of Saki.
Saki is very unathletic, being very slow at running the mile in gym class and tiring herself out very quickly.
Saki seems easily influenced due to believing the things her grandmother has told her and picking up Rachel's violent tendencies.
Relationships[]
Julie and Hervé Boulais[]
Saki has a very good relationship with her parents. However, they are not aware of how many problems she has caused at school or how she treats Fen.
Mrs. Boulais[]
Saki and her grandmother believe they have a great relationship together and they talk on the phone often. Unfortunately, Mrs. Boulais has passed on many of her outdated beliefs to Saki and Julie believes her mother-in-law is an awful influence on Saki as a result.
Ship[]
Saki absolutely adores Ship and Ship loves her back. Despite what her grandmother says about aliens, Saki could never bring herself to think of Ship as lesser for being an alien. Ship desires to protect Saki just as much as he protects Julie.
Rachel Madler[]
Saki and Rachel have been friends since they met when they were eight. Rachel considers herself very loyal to Saki and Saki knows she can trust Rachel with anything.
Aaliyah Thompson[]
Saki and Aaliyah have been friends ever since Saki complimented her nail polish in sixth grade and Saki started inviting Aaliyah to hang out with her and Rachel. While Saki certainly likes Aaliyah and enjoys her friendship, Aaliyah has grown increasingly uncomfortable with both Saki and Rachel's bullying behavior.
Fen Tennyson[]
Despite being friends until they were four, Saki and Fen both despise each other on the belief that the other was mean to them when they were little. Ever since Saki returned to Bellwood from France, she's been nothing but awful to Fen, resulting in Fen hating her back.
Things have gotten so bad that by eighth grade, Saki is now all for trying to kill Fen and Fen isn't afraid to wage a war against Saki.
Millie[]
As with Fen, Saki used to be friends with Millie before she moved to France. However, neither Saki nor Millie remember it. Nowadays, Saki's only interest in Millie comes from hating her simply for being Fen's friend and defending him.
Unknown to Saki, Miracle-M, who she idolizes, is actually Millie in disguise. Which creates an awkward situation for Millie whenever she overhears Saki fawning over Miracle-M.
Fiona[]
Just like most other kids at school, Saki greatly admires Fiona. She will drop everything to go join the crowd that forms whenever Fiona is around.
