Reptide is the Omnitrix's DNA sample of a Buoherpa from the planet Ludiphion, created by SOULARCHER20.

Personality

Reptide speaks with a slight surfer accent.

Powers and Abilities

The pad on Reptide's head can be pulled of and thrown onto surfaces, in which it treats the surface it is placed on as a water surface. This enables Reptide to ride it like a surfboard on any form of surface, seemingly ignoring the friction on the surface it is placed on.

The pad on Reptide's head can regenerate every time it gets pulled of approximately instantly, allowing him to throw them as projectiles, changing their properties each time. Among their properties include adhesive spots that can act as traps, tripping mats with their buoyancy manipulation, or as simple hardened projectiles.

In addition to his pad, Reptide is capable of regenerating lost limbs like an actual lizard. He is also perfectly capable of breathing underwater and scaling walls.

Due to his small size, Reptide's speed, agility and reflexes are increased.

Reptide has lubricous skin, making it hard to grab ahold of him.

Reptide can smell the air with his tongue, which is also extendable like a chameleon's tongue.

Weaknesses

Reptide's pads aren't resistant to extreme temperatures, most notably heat, in which he can become dehydrated.

Reptide's skin will lose its lubricous properties if not exposed to water for a long period of time. His amphibious attributes would make him more vulnerable to electricity.

There is a limit to how many pads Reptide can produce at once, as he would need some time before he could produce another pad.

Reptide's strength and durability is no greater than an average human, making him more vulnerable against stronger opponents.

Reptide is vulnerable to his natural predator, Grogyrm.

History

• In Omniorigins, Reptide was unlocked by Azmuth when he unlocked Ben's second playlist.
• Reptide first appeared in One Big Omni Family, where he acquired sentience after an A.I.R. device affected the Omnitrix. He was one of the many aliens in the battle at the A.I.R. base. He was then readded to the Omnitrix after being scanned by Ben.

Etymology

Reptide's name is a combination of the words "Reptile" (referring to his lizard-like appearance) and "Riptide" (referring to his surfer and water characteristics).

Trivia

• Reptide, Spinostorm, Lookout and Clawnivore are all considered to be filler aliens for Ben's second playlist, as SOULARCHER20 believes that Ben currently has too many aliens and the four would only appear for specific episodes.
• Reptide's appearance and colour scheme slightly resembles that of Lotad from Pokemon and Walkappa from Yo-Kai Watch. This is ironic as the duo resemble ducks, whereas Reptide is based on a lizard.
• His ability to produce lily pads from his head is based on Minoru Mineta/Fresh Picked Hero: Grape Juice's Pop-Off quirk from My Hero Academia. Both items also have adhesive properties, though Reptide's is optional.
• Sentient Reptide has a habit of picking his own skin, indicating that he can shed it like an actual lizard.
