Professor Paradox is a heroic character living in the Edge of the Omniverse in the series Ben 10: Beyond Bellwood. He is a Human Perpetual originally from Earth in an unknown timeline. He was a good friend of Kev 'Leven.
Appearance[]
Paradox wears outdated scientists clothes, including an off-white lab coat and a brown undercoat. His hair is slick and black and vaguely resembles that of a mid-century television host. A pair of green safety goggles hang around his neck.
He speaks in an ambiguously Atlantic-sounding accent.
Personality[]
Professor Paradox varies from two extremes; depending on his mood or situation he can either be jovial, random, and extremely unpredictable or he can be intelligent, well-spoken, and intimidating. Often these two extremes can overlap, and his actions should never be mistaken for being uncalculated.
Due to the immense amount of time Paradox has spent away from others either during his entrapment beyond causal reality or due to his external-meddling tendencies, he struggles to connect with the emotions or desires of others. Very often he will fail to see the personal strains of people over the grand picture.
Powers and Abilities[]
Professor Paradox has a knowledge of dimensions, timelines, causality, and universes that is unsurpassed by any other causally-bound creature in existance. Using this knowledge he can easily slip through the gaps in time and space, travelling wherever he so pleases in an instant. In the Edge of the Omniverse, where standard rules fail to apply so strictly, he can also travel between Multiverses.
Paradox is immortal. He cannot age or be aged and his knowledge of time and space allow him to avoid any potentially fatal happenstance.
Biography[]
Prior to the events of Beyond Bellwood, Professor Paradox and Kev 'Leven had worked together for decades fighting the Flesh across the Edge of the Omniverse, hoping to find a way to uproot them from Kev's home universe of Earth-CDXI.411. Failing to find anything helpful, Kev returned to his own universe to try and stop the Flesh by force. Unfortunately he failed, but passed the Omnitrix on to Ben as his universe died. In the meantime, Paradox kept up the fight against the Flesh by himself. Struggling greatly without access to Kev and his Omnitrix abilities.
Ben 10: Beyond Bellwood[]
Professor Paradox first appeared in the episode Life and Flesh, where he helped destroy some Flesh Entities, rescued Ben Tennyson from a doomed timeline, and introduced Ben to the Whisper before recruiting him to help combat the Flesh. He then immediately sent Ben to the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic universe to learn about his new abilities in the episode Death in the Everfree. However when Ben killed Queen Chrysalis an argument ensued. At Ben's request Paradox abandoned him, leaving him with the Chrononavigator.
