First Appearance | Introducing Ben 23 |
Prism is the Hero Watch's DNA sample of a Crystalsapien from the planet Petropia in Omniverse: At Night and is the Dimension 23 equivalent of Chromastone.
Appearance[]
Prism looks identical to Chromastone's first Omniverse appearance, except his purple coloured rocky body is more of a pastel blue-purple, and his pink crystals are recoloured pastel cyan with white undertones.
The Hero Watch is located on his chest.
Powers and Abilities[]
Prism has the ability to allow many types of energy, such as lasers; electricity; mana; and any type of electromagnetic radiation, from ultraviolet light to cosmic rays, to collect within or phase through his body without harm.
Prism can absorb and convert those energies into rainbow-colored beams, which he can fire from either his hands or from the shards on his body; or project those energies into blasts. His beams are powerful enough to melt through a truck trailer and destroy an entire turret, and he can also shoot energy blasts without absorbing anything, but only to a limited extent.
Prism can control the intensity of his energy attacks, and the amount of power his beams have depends on how powerful the energy from an opponent's attack is. These are shown with Chromastone; for instance, when the Dragon attacked Chromastone with its powerful energy blast, the latter absorbed it and subdued the Dragon with a powerful wave of energy. Similarly, when Gwen gave Chromastone a large amount of mana for him to absorb, he was able to shoot powerful energy blasts at Dagon.
Prism is able to scatter the energy he absorbs in the form of multiple, smaller energy beams.
Prism is able to redirect energy attacks instead of absorbing them.
As well as being immune to electricity, Prism can also conduct it back at the attacker, as seen when Lucy attacked him with an electric cable.
Prism is capable of instant levitation and flight. While flying, he can leave behind a rainbow trail in the air.
Prism possesses enhanced strength, allowing him to overpower stronger opponents, such as a Techadon-enhanced Cash, with his bare hands. Technically speaking, he is physically stronger than Methanosians but weaker than Vaxasaurians.
Prism possesses enhanced durability thanks to his very dense and crystalline skin, which allows him to withstand being thrown against several vehicles at once.
Prism is capable of jumping exceptionally high.
Prism can survive in the vacuum of space, as demonstrated by Sugilite when he was traveling to what was left of Petropia.
Due to him being made of silicon-based crystals, Prism is immune to possession from a Xenocite.
Prism has the power to generate focused gamma rays.
Prism has the power to generate prismatic explosions.
Prism can project a beam of light from his hands for illumination purposes.
Prism can use his energy to increase the temperature of his body, to the point where he can become hot enough to dissolve an Arachnichimp's webs.
If a big enough light source were to shine through him, Prism can create a big, beautiful rainbow in the sky.
Weaknesses[]
Prism is incapable of absorbing certain types of energy, such as the energy of the extradimensional field that protects the Contumelia from the Annihilarrgh, as demonstrated with Chromastone.
Prism has a limit to how much energy he can absorb at once, as he once tried to absorb all the mana energy of Charmcaster's machine but was overwhelmed to the point of almost crumbling apart, as demonstrated with Chromastone.
In addition to Prism having a limit to how much he can absorb, he also cannot absorb the energy released by an Annihilarrgh because he would be instantly disintegrated if he tried.
Prism cannot absorb gooey substances, such as the plasma generated by members of Ball Weevil's species.
Prism is unable to absorb electricity while it is being conducted by water, as demonstrated with Chromastone.
Prism can be controlled by Vladats via their Corrupturas.
History[]
- Prism makes his first appearance in Introducing Ben 23, where he fought SevenSeven 23.
Appearances[]
- Introducing Ben 23 (first appearance)
Etymology[]
Prism's name is a reference to how his body is crystalline-like, almost as if he was made entirely of rock and stone.
Trivia[]
- Prism is the first alien used by Ben 23 that has not appeared at all in the episodes he has appeared in throughout the entirety of Omniverse. To add on from this, Prism is also the first alien used by Ben 23 that has not been used in Ben 23's debut episode, but rather the rewritten version.
- Paraphrased, Prism is used by Ben 23 exclusively in Omniverse: At Night because Benzarro85 wanted Ben 23 to use more aliens, since it's his debut episode.
