First Appearance The Krakken

Piscciss Volanns are an extraterrestrial species of amphibian-like fish from the water planet Piscciss.

Appearance

Piscciss Volanns have multiple gills and an antenna on their head for deep sea diving. When born, their teeth are external, but they go internal as they get older. Their bodies are covered in protective scales and have claws on their appendages. As a Piscciss Volann grows older, the need for water will decrease, making them slightly amphibious. Their common eye color is pink.

Powers and Abilities

Piscciss Volanns are the most hazardous species on Piscciss. Piscciss Volanns are incredible swimmers who are amazingly fast and agile in the water. Their huge mouths are filled with rows of razor-sharp teeth, which can bite through almost anything. Their lower jaw unhinges, enabling them to grip larger objects. Piscciss Volanns use their claw-tipped fins to fight in a unique "zero gravity" style that makes them masters of aquatic combat. They can dive deep to the ocean floor, easily withstanding the crushing pressure while breathing through their gills. They may have skill in the water, but when Piscciss Volanns walk on land they are not nearly as useful on land as they are underwater.

Weaknesses

A Piscciss Volann's weakness is that they cannot stay on land for too long, so if a Piscciss Volann wanted to stay longer on land, it would require water to keep them from dehydrating. If they don't get water while on the land, they will possibly die.

A Piscciss Volann was wearing a unique device around its neck that supplied water for its gills allowing it to walk on dry land without dehydrating.

Trivia

  • A Piscciss Volann's luminescent appendix resembles that of Melanocetus johnsonii, a real species of deep-sea anglerfish.
  • There are things that allow them to survive without water for longer, like oxygen pills.
