PhDoctor is the Alpha-Omegatrix's DNA sample of a Time Lord, also known as Gallifreyan, from Gallifrey.
He held himself of high regard, and was prone to criticise those who he felt were naive or primitive compared to his intellect. However, he possessed compassion, warmth, and wit that made up for his egocentric nature, serving to act as a mentor and guardian figure.
With this first body wearing thin, the increasingly frail PhDoctor matched wits with the Cybermen for the first time, an encounter which physically drained him. Returning to the TARDIS, the controls operated of their own accord and the central column began to rise and fall. Barely conscious, PhDoctor collapsed to the floor, having lost the energy needed to keep such an old body going. Before the astonished eyes of Socium, the PhDoctor regenerated for the first time, transforming into the Second PhDoctor.
His first incarnation looks exactly like Richard but with red eyes and the Alpha-Omegatrix on his wrist. Internally, has two hearts.
As a Time Lord, he has many powers. A binary vascular system, immunity to the vacuum of space, increased sound resilience, healing coma, radiation absorption, high electrocution immunity, telepathy, and regeneration up to 12 times, having 13 incarnations in all.
The Alpha-Omegatrix gives him what most Time Lords have, a sonic screwdriver, a psychic paper, and a TARDIS, Time And Relative Dimension In Space. This gives him a few controls over things, ebducing someone into seeing what he wants, and time-space travel.
He has fatal reactions to one of his hearts not working.
Although he can regenerate 12 times, after his 13th incarnation, Richard does not have access to him.
- PhDoctor was originally his working name, and is also his official name.
- His death and personality are that of the First Doctor.
