Omnitrix (Universe-2710)

The Omnitrix is a device that is used by Ben Tennyson to turn him into 10 different aliens for a limited amount of time. It was gifted to him by the Universe-2710 version of Azmuth, after declaring that he was someone worthy of the device.

Features

Activation

To activate the Omnitrix, the 2 activation buttons at the top and bottom of the dial must be pushed down simultaneously. Doing this will cause the core to pop-up, revealing a hologram of a random alien in the prime playlist. Rotating the dial to the right will enable the user to scroll through all unlocked aliens in that playlist. To select an alien, the core is pressed down, causing the user's DNA to transmute into the chosen alien's DNA.

General

• The Omnitrix mainly allowed for the user to transform into a numerous variety of alien life-forms that are each with their own unique powers and abilities (along with their weaknesses) and in a selection of alien DNA that is in groups of 10.
• In order for the user to change the size, the matter was created from energy or reconstituted to energy as needed.
• The Omnitrix had a quick change feature.
  • The user could change back by turning the second ring on the dial to the 3 o'clock position. When Ben appeared to be changing mentally, it was just a coincidence. He was out of time and changing anyway.
  • Manually touching the Omnitrix symbol not only allows the user to immediately transform back to normal but can also be used to change forms while already transformed.
• The Omnitrix could alter its size to fit the user's wrist.
• When transformed, the Omnitrix protected the user from negative effects, including:
  • Being possessed by an Ectonurite.
  • Exposure to the dangerous effects of Corrodium.
  • Being transformed by Dr. Animo's mutant ray.
  • Radioactive substances and species.
• Once placed on the wearer, the Omnitrix could not be removed by normal physical means.
  • Azmuth added a feature in which only he and the Omnitrix's chosen wearer could telepathically remove the Omnitrix.
• The Omnitrix could show a database image of all aliens unlocked.
• The Omnitrix was able to repair genetic damage.
• The Omnitrix could genetically manipulate DNA or reprogram a species' DNA, though this is usually a glitch.
• The Omnitrix changed the aliens' eye color to match the user's eye color, a feature that can be turned off.
• The Omnitrix could be synchronized with another Omnitrix, even without the user's intent.
• The Omnitrix is indestructible, and can be used in various different environments.
• The Omnitrix has a reset mode which would remove all impurities in the device in exchange for locking all available samples unless a code is used.
• The Omnitrix has a custom clothing feature that is present on all its aliens. This is to prevent the alien from practically running around naked.

• The Omnitrix has a limited AI (Artificial Intelligence).
• The Omnitrix functioned as a GPS.
• The Omnitrix could create holograms to use its functions.
• The Omnitrix has a 2-way communication system with other telecommunication devices.
• The Omnitrix had a built-in Universal Translator and could also translate other Earth languages.
• The Omnitrix could teleport the user through Azmuth's teleportation channel.
• The Omnitrix can tell time. This feature is active when the Omnitrix is in cloaking mode.
• The Omnitrix possesses genetic firewalls to make it hackproof.

Modes

• Inert Mode (Grey) - The Omnitrix is switched of and not in use. It will remain in this mode until it is switched on.
• Active Mode (Green) - The Omnitrix is fully charged and is ready to be used.
• Recharge Mode (Red) - The Omnitrix is recharging and unable to be used for a certain amount of time.
• Scan Mode (Yellow) - The Omnitrix has detected a DNA sample that does not exist in its database and will remain in this mode until the DNA is sampled.
• Reset Mode (Blue) - The Omnitrix is reset, locking all available samples but will permit the user to select 10 new DNA samples unless locked samples are saved beforehand.
• Sentry Mode (Orange) - When the user's life is in immediate danger and the Omnitrix is inactive. Will automatically transform the user into the appropriate alien.
• Gattling Mode (Black) - Optional Function: Will randomly turn the user into all available aliens for half the average time.
• Cloaking Mode - Will create a holographic image around itself to turn into an average Earth wristwatch, which can be deactivated automatically.

Known Aliens

The Omnitrix organises its DNA samples in sets of 10, though additional aliens can be added into the prime playlist from other playlists by switching DNA samples. To do this, the user turns the dial to the left, scrolling through all available samples and replacing past ones until one is selected. Each time the Omnitrix recharges, it also resets the samples to its default playlist. The prime playlist can also be changed in the settings.

Unlocking Aliens

• To unlock new aliens, the user has to turn the dial in specific directions without pressing the activation button. All the samples are coded by specific turn combinations, so any sample can be unlocked by turning the dial in any way. When an alien is unlocked, its hologram will appear and the dial will automatically pop-up with the unlocked alien in its selection.
• The Omnitrix can also unlock new samples through its scan mode. If an alien that is the same species is in range of the user, the Omnitrix will use that alien's genetic template to instantly unlock that alien without utilising its dial code.
• The Master Control unlocks all aliens available within the Omnitrix.
• For safety measures and to avoid abuse, the unlock feature cannot be accessed after activation for approximately 72 hours. The Master Control ignores this rule, as all aliens are already unlocked.

Trivia

• Unlike the other Omnitrices, this one was given to Ben by Azmuth subtly rather than Max.
• The Omnitrix has several passcodes that are unlocked by turning the dial in a specific combination of directions.
• When a new playlist is unlocked, the Omnitrix showcases rings that resemble the Synchro summoning animation used in Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS.
• In all the transformation sequences, the Omnitrix seems to come of the user's wrist after changing the user's skin type to the selected alien's, seemingly reattaching itself permanently at a suitable location on the alien's body upon concluding the transformation.
• The aliens are classified based on their powers and physical chemistry to ensure the user could adapt with their current aliens and capabilities, which is why certain aliens in Ben's first playlist have at least one similar power with the other.
