The Omnitrix is a Level 20 DNA Alteration Device in The Trixters that was used by Tsar Nicholas II, Ant and, currently, Fly to transform into various different alien species. It has come in four variations so far. From left to right, there's the Prototype Omnitrix, The Omnitrix V2, The Recallibrated Omnitrix V2, The Omnitrix V.03 Lite and The Omnitrix^2.
Appearance[]
The Prototype Omnitrix is a grey, clunky, metal wristband, a white pipe extending in and out of the watch & a green dial & button situated on one side. It uses the Original Series alien display with the silhouettes.
The Omnitrix V2 resembles the Prime Timeline's Official Omnitrix, albeit simplified & with a grey wristband. It uses the Omniverse alien display with the touchpad & scrollwheel.
The Recallibrated Omnitrix V2 extends into a gauntlet up the user's arm, similar to the OS Ben 10,000's Omnitrix. The white pipe returns, but no button is visible still. It retains the same alien display as it's un-recallibrated counterpart.
The Omnitrix Lite resembles prison shackles & comes in two parts, connected by a singular chain. One chunk is sat just above the elbow & the other, larger chunk is worn on the wrist. The Omnitrix's dial & button become a more faded, dull green & there's a small serration in the wristpiece with a white disc lodged in it. The Omnitrix display uses holograms similar to the UAF omnitricies, but they're more clunky & less refined, only barely resembling the shape of the alien selected. The alien is selected by manually turning the dial, much like the Prototype Omnitrix.
The Omnitrix^2 takes on a more blocky appearance, quite literally looking like a square. The trix symbol returns to its original green colour & also becomes square. A white stripe goes along the side of the watch. The Omnitrix display is the same as the last.
Origin[]
The Prototype Omnitrix was built for the exact same reason as the Prime Timeline, to unite the Galaxy together by creating a device that lets its user walk a mile in another persons shoes. However, this Azmuth was scarily dedicated to his craft & finished various Prototypes in far less time than the Prime Azmuth, although the device had far less features. He sent out the Omnitrix to the greatest Plumber of all time (at the time), Tsar Nicholas II, but discarded the device & buried it deep underground.
Years later, a humanoid, ant-like creature would wield the device after randomly digging it up one day, using it to become a world-renowned hero. However, after he was found guilty of owning an incredibly illegal & dangerous weapon, the Piplash Crusher, he was sentenced to life in an incredibly complex prison designed to contain him. He would try & break out using his transformations but was halted by the user of The Nemetrix, who killed him in battle after he'd broken free. It was during this fight that a swarm of alien fly-people native to Earth stumbled across the device in a damaged state, with one of the flies getting it by random chance. This fly would go on to develop it's own consciousness & become a hero in his own right, unaware of the heroism of the ant.
Fly would use the Omnitrix for various purposes (mostly fucking around) and after a brief interval where he was kidnapped & replaced by a lookalike with his own replicated watch, Azmuth would come out of hiding to congratulate Fly and his friends, giving them each a gift of whatever they desire. Ogre recieved a new transformation that he dubbed "Meatster", Fish recieved an IOU that would be fufilled at a later date & Fly recieved a brand new, completed Omnitrix.
Fly would continue to use this device, until strange things began to happen with his transformations. The DNA of one of Fly's former aliens began to leak into his other transformations, creating the Sigma Forms: variants of transformations that happened completely randomly, giving the alien immense, godlike power at the cost of a violent personality change. At some point, these forms became more & more frequent, causing all of Fly's transformations to automatically become like this. After a while of this, the Phonkian DNA managed to free itself from the Omnitrix, becoming a whole being once again. This immense power surge caused by Ben Sigma finally breaking out caused the Omnitrix to recallibrate. In doing so, Fly's alien playlist was set all the way back to zero, with Fly having to go around sampling new species to refill his alien slots.
Before Fly even finished his playlist however, he had a falling out with one of his allies, Fish, who went to go side with someone who tried to kill them, Malware. Fly & Ogre chased the two across the universe, trying to figure out what they were even up to, before it was revealed that they planned to inflict the same mutation Malware possessed onto all subsequent Mechamorphs produced by The Helix to try & grab Azmuth's attention. In a moment of desperation, Fly used one of his recently acquired aliens to erase The Helix from existence. This grabbed Azmuth's attention, and in a fit of rage caused by seeing one of his proudest achievements wiped from existence, he scraped together a bunch of buggy Omnitrix prototypes to give to Fly as punishment, which he dubbed the Omnitrix Lite. Azmuth was knocked unconscious by Ogre when he was delivering it to Fly. Fly, however, took the device anyways, not knowing it was significantly shittier than the recallibrated Omnitrix. With the Omnitrix V2 discarded, Malware absorbed the device for himself, letting him access all the aliens in Fly's recallibrated playlist that were moved out of Fly's current playlist. This caused his DNA to become even more unstable than it already was, becoming borderline unfixable.
Malware would then try & escape to Orgulon, where he would try & gather technology to absorb, leading to Fly, Ogre, Fish and Tuugaa to chase him across the galaxy. Eventually, they would make it & defeat Malware in a final battle. He was finally killed, with Fly harvesting the very broken Omnitrix from his body. They returned to Galvan Prime, where Azmuth would hand them each a gift. The Omnitrix^2 was one of these gifts, which would be given by Fly to wield.
Features[]
- The primary function of the Omnitrix is to transform the user into a variety of alien species, letting them use their likeness & abilities.
- The transformations partially scale with the user's characteristics like age, height or genetic mutations. So for example, if the Omnitrix User is a tall, skinny Pyronite, all of their transformations will be skinny & tall for whatever species they turn into. The transformation is always at it's physical & mental peak, however, and disregards the strength of the user.
- The Omnitrix temporarily allowed for fusions in the case of the Sigma forms, although this feature is no longer present due to the lack of Phonkian DNA.
- These fusions worked differently to standard ones. Rather than being a 50/50 split, it was more of a 100/50 split, with the regular DNA remaining unchanged & the Phonkian DNA being "layered over" the alien.
- The Omnitrix has various failsafes to prevent the death of the user. It does not possess nearly as many failsafes as the Prime Omnitrix, but it can still save the life of the user if it realises it is in peril. It cannot directly bring the user back to life if they are killed, only prevent it from happening.
- The Omnitrix can sample more DNA to its database via a holographic laser that can be activated at will.
- The Omnitrix's appearance & dial colour can change & adapt to it's user.
- The Omnitrix has a cup holder somewhere in it. No user has figured out how to activate it yet.
- The Omnitrix has a quickchange feature that doesn't seem to drain the battery for some models of the device.
- The Omnitrix has a fully sentient AI that can help the user in some ways. It is most prevalent in the Omnitrix Lite where it is a fucking asshole about everything and is also the cause of mistransformations that bitch
- The Omnitrix seems to have a very vague definition of DNA, letting it sample sometimes non-sapient creatures and just straight up computer data
Modes[]
Default: The standard Omnitrix mode indicated by a green colouration. This mode allows the user to transform into any alien species in the active playlist. If they aren't, they are not accessible.
Timeout: Only accessible to the Omnitrix Lite & the Omnitrix V2 temporarily, indicated by a red colouration. In this mode, the user is forced into their default form & cannot access alien selection until the battery has recharged.
Sample: Indicated by a yellow colouration. This mode indicates that a new piece of DNA is being added to the Omnitrix Database, and in turn, the active playlist. This mode cannot be accessed if the active playlist is full.
There are possibly other modes in the Omnitrix, but they have yet to be accessed.
