Omnitrix (Ry-10)

The Omnimatrix (AKA the 'Omnitrix') is a device used by Ryan McCrimmon in Ry-10

Appearance[]

When Ryan first encountered the Omnitrix, it looked like its counterpart from the original Ben 10 series and first season of the reboot, but instead of being green, it's brown.

As of Ry-10 VS Alpha, after being upgraded, it resembled the reboot season 2 Omnitrix.

After Azmuth fully completed the Omnitrix, it recalibrated into a new form that resembles OS Ben 10K's Omnitrix in build.

Workings and History[]

The Omnitrix used by Ryan works slightly differently than its canon counterpart. The main difference is that even when it was a prototype it doesn't ever mis-transform. Instead, the Omnitrix has registered all of Ryan's names for his aliens. When Ryan says a name given to an alien form, whether in a pun or simply stating it, the Omnitrix will register the name, and transform him into the form with that name. This leads to a slight drawback. If Ryan forgets to specifically choose an alien and just smacks the Omnitrix, the watch will pick a random form by itself.

The Omnitrix was taken by Azmuth after it absorbed half of Vilgax's DNA when the McCrimmons encountered him on Primus in "Omni-Enhancement". Azmuth's assistant Alpha then granted him an Omnitrix he built nicknamed the Omni-Enhancer. Ryan used this Omnitrix briefly, until "Ry-10 VS Alpha" when Ryan has a now-upgraded Omnitrix returned to him. The Omnitrix was later fully completed by Azmuth, changing into a form which has a brown, black and white color scheme. while it has a button, the dial is also touch sensitive and has a hyroglyphic icon interface. (Though the dial still needs to be turned).

The selection workings of the complete Omnitrix were inspired by the Ben 10/Danny Phantom crossover comic 5 Years Later created by the Ink Tank.
Unlike the reboot S4 Omnitrix, the completed Omnitrix has both enhanced and armored forms, but they can't be activated simultaniously. Additionally, Azmuth altered how the activation of the enhanced forms works so whereas before they could activate at random, now Ryan has to verbally say the nickname he gave to the enhanced state.
The Omnitrix can sync with other Omnitrix databases as shown in "10 + 23"
The Omnitrix can automatically activate if the user can't operate it.
The Self Destruct has yet to be seen in Ry-10, the images provided are just to show how it works.
Much like the Omnitrix in the reboot, the device is still fundamentally the same one Ryan encountered at the start of the summer, just improved and upgraded
