The Omnimatrix, often just called the Omnitrix, is a machine in Ben 10: Omnialiens that is used by Ben Tennyson.

Origin[]
The Omnimatrix was created by first thinker Azmuth, after he created the reality warping sword Ascalon, he decided to dedicate himself to the peaceful sciences and created his greatest creation, the Omnitrix, which allowed the user to transform into any intelligent species in the Milky Way Galaxy, the device was intended to go the galaxy’s greatest plumber, Max Tennyson, but instead ended up in the hands of his grandson, Ben Tennyson.

Main Features
-Transformation: As it’s main feature, the Omnitrix allows the user to transform into any species it has in its database.
-Holographic Interface: The Omnitrix can project a holographic interface, so the user knows which alien they are selecting.
-DNA Scanner: The Omnitrix comes with a DNA scanner to scan any alien species it does not have in its database.
-Creating Adaptations: The Omnitrix can create clothes to match the aliens homeworld fashion, or necessary adaptations so that the alien can live out of its homeworld (Like Goop's Projector or NRG's suit).
-Computerized DNA: The Omnitrix carries every piece of DNA in a computerized state, instead of relying on the Codon Stream.
-Gender: The Omnitrix can change the user’s gender to match species who are only of a single gender, or asexual (Like Necrofriggians).
Secondary Features
-Plumber Communication: The Omnitrix has two way Communication with Plumber Headquarters.
-Universal Translator: The Omnitrix has a built-in universal translator, able to understand and translate nearly every language.
-Failsafes: The Omnitrix has built-in failsafes, like a homing function, so Azmuth can keep a track of his device, a failsafe that prevents the tampering of Galvanic Mechamorphs, and one that prevents the user from dying.

The Monster Playlist:
This playlist includes every sapient species from the Anur System. The dangerous, radioactive mineral Corrodium is intertwined with everyone of these species’ ecosystems. Production-wise, most of these transformations were based on icons and monsters from the horror genre of movies.

Cosmetics[]
- Classic Mode - This mode makes the Omnitrix look like the Prototype Omnitrix before recalibration.
- Recalibrated Mode - This mode makes the Omnitrix look like the Prototype Omnitrix post-recalibration.
- Stealth Mode - This mode makes the Omnitrix invisible.
- Factory Mode - This mode removes the outer casings and firewalls of the Omnitrix for modification and fixing.
- Uniform Mode - This mode changes the Omnitrix’s appearance, and by using nano-technology, gives the user a uniform suit for battle
- This mode also gives the user footwear which allows for flight using energy propulsion
- This mode also supplies with the user with a visor which has direct communication with Plumber HQ as well as the user’s allies. The visor also gives the user the ability to zoom into target species on a microscopic level, letting the user see and breakdown the DNA of the target, the visor also provides the user with plethora of information after zooming in, such as precise measurements and biometric readings.
The Omnitrix Activated
Modes[]
Active: Active Mode is the Omnitrix's default mode - the Omnitrix can be used and nothing is wrong.
Recharge: Recharge Mode's main purpose is to keep the Omnitrix from damaging the user by staying transformed for too long. It's deactivated automatically, once the Omnitrix is recharged.
Scan: Scans DNA by being near the alien it detects. However, if the Omnitrix is far away from the detected sample, the Omnitrix's other functions will be disabled until the alien is scanned.
Life-Form Lock: Allows the user to stay transformed for an extended period of time without a time-out. It is dangerous to use often.
Master Control: The user can transform with a simple thought, neglecting the use of the dial. The limiter is also disabled, allowing the user to stay transformed indefinitely.
Playlist Lock: Allows the user to lock all other playlists.

Trivia[]
- The only alien species currently shown in Ben 10: Omnialiens that are confirmed not to be in the Omnitrix’s arsenal are the Proto Manzardills and the Kabalds.
- The Kabalds’ home planet, Aerogehon, is very well-hidden from other travellers, it would be very difficult to go to Aerogehon to find a good enough Kabald fossil to obtain a DNA sample.
