The Omnimatrix, better known as the Omnitrix is a device attached on Ben Tennyson's wrist in Ben 10: Tales of the Omnitrix.
Appearance[]
The Omnitrix looks like a large gray wristwatch with white tubes. The Omnitrix has a green button.
Features[]
General[]
- It contains the DNA of over one million species from all over across the universe, and transform into them. The aliens each have their own unique power and abilities (along with their weaknesses). The user can only transform into one alien at a time in select groups of 10. The user can also only be that selected transformation for a limited period of time. (In Earth time, 10 minutes.)
- The Omnitrix automatically reverts the user back into their normal form when they get sufficiently hurt or knocked out.
- The Omnitrix is able to scan human-alien hybrids in order to unlock the alien's DNA.
- The Omnitrix has a quick switch feature.
- Manually touching the Omnitrix symbol, not only allows the user to immediately transform back to normal, but can also be used to change forms while already transformed.
- The Omnitrix has a failsafe that prevents any outside source from removing the Omnitrix. If tampered with, it can create a large feedback by unleashing a shockwave, throwing the tamperer back. The Omnitrix's failsafe can also prevent Ben from dying and transform him into any alien that can survive any sort of position he's in.
- Once placed on the wearer, the Omnitrix cannot be removed by normal physical means.
- The Omnitrix can show a database image of all the aliens unlocked.
- The Omnitrix is able to repair genetic damage, Ben has yet to learn this feature.
- The Omnitrix can genetically manipulate DNA or reprogram a species' DNA.

- The Omnitrix symbol is generally located on the chest of the transformation.
Extensions[]
- The Omnitrix has an AI (Artificial Intelligence).
- The Omnitrix has a built-in Universal Translator.
- The Omnitrix serves as a communicator when transformed and not transformed.
- The Omnitrix can function as a GPS, Ben has yet to learn this setting.
Display Mode[]
- The Omnitrix has two known display modes.
- Black silhouettes of the aliens.
Malfunctions[]
- If the Omnitrix's faceplate cover is broken off, the result was DNA hybrids.
- When exposed to electromagnetic interference, the Omnitrix could cause unintentional transformations and the Omnitrix will be unable to deactivate until the source of the interference is gone.
- This could work in reverse, rapidly changing the user from one form to another until someone/something stops it.
Clothing[]
The Omnitrix can alter the clothing of the wearer to better fit the alien forms and can even create different types of clothing and accessories mostly green, but with black and white colours.
Voice Command[]
- The Omnitrix can be controlled by Voice Command.
Modes[]
- Active: Active Mode is the Omnitrix's default mode - the Omnitrix can be used and nothing is wrong.
- Recharge: Recharge Mode's main purpose is to keep the Omnitrix from damaging the user by staying transformed for too long. It's deactivated automatically, once the Omnitrix is recharged.
- Scan: It Scans DNA by being near the alien it detects. However, if the Omnitrix is far away from the detected sample, the Omnitrix's other functions will be disabled until the alien is scanned.
- Master Control: The user can transform with a simple thought, neglecting the use of the dial. The limiter is also disabled, allowing the user to stay transformed indefinitely.

- Ben feels like he is somebody else when he transforms into an alien.
- The Omnitrix is waterproof.
- This Omnitrix's activation sound is very reminisent to the Ultimatrix and time-out like the Prototype Omnitrix.
