these are different devices that allow the users to change into different species, each with its features and functions.
The Omnitrix.[]
the Omnitrix is a device that allows its wielder to change into many different alien forms. however, the current Omnitrix is an incomplete prototype that was sent to earth after trapping half of vilgax in the device. the device found its way to Ben Tennyson and from that point on-wards, it would be used for heroics by Ben. Due to this incomplete nature, the device is prone to giving Ben the wrong alien as well as having an inconsistent charge. however, it has been rebooted many times, not only altering its appearance but also its functionality.
starting with the original Omnitrix design, also referred to as the initial design. this Omnitrix design changed when Ben used upgrade to force a reboot giving him temporary access to master control, however, the reboot caused a power surge, and to fix it, the Fulmini pod was used to absorb the charge. giving Ben new enhancements but bringing something terrible along with it.
the second design is known as the enhanced design. this Omnitrix comes with new upgrades for 9 of the 10 available aliens. theses upgrades are known as the Omni-enhancements. these enhancements would give the aliens new equipment made of rocks and blue plasma. however, this recalibration also brought with it disastrous consequences as it allowed for the Fulmini to start their invasion of earth. to try and thwart them, Ben, Gwen, max, and glitch forced a hardware reboot which locked off the Omni-enhancements forever, but it also swapped around three aliens as Ben would now have.
the third recalibration is known as the rebooted Omnitrix. when the Omnitrix was given a hard reboot, three of the DNA pods were replaced, meaning that Ben lost access to overflow, Greymatter, and Wildvine, but he now gained access to slapback, rath, and humungousaur. this Omnitrix has no special feature but it appears to be the most stable rebooting of the Omnitrix as Ben rarely got the wrong alien with the rebooted Omnitrix. however, it was soon rebooted again once the Omnitrix key was inserted. however, one feature that this device can claim to call its own, is the Omni-guard, an addition that would make it mana proof, although it would be lost when the Omnitrix key would be placed into the device.
the fourth version of the Omnitrix is called the kixed Omnitrix. this Omnitrix would prove to be Ben's longest-lasting Omnitrix as it would last from Ben placing in the Omnitrix key, the Omnitrix rebooted again and while Ben lost stinkfly, he gained jetray and Armor for his aliens, as well as space a for them known as the Omni-naught. however, the only time it has been breached was when rex accidentally used his nanites to send the DNA out of the Omnitrix where it would latch onto other people. however, it would also lose a feature that the rebooted Omnitrix got, the Omni-guard.
the fifth Omnitrix is called the recalibrated Omnitrix. when a new threat would show up in the form of the DNAliens and Highbreed it would recalibrate, keeping the Omni-kix and naut but having a focus of being a balanced playlist compared to the strength-focused playlist of the kixed Omnitrix. it would reboot again when overloaded with mana from Gwen and Charmcaster to boost the power of the Omnitrix's cure of the Highbreed to reach across the whole universe. however, in doing so, much of the mana would be left behind in the device, turning its green to purple as it rebooted to a more familiar form.
the sixth Omnitrix is the mana-boosted Omnitrix. although boosted with mana, all this meant was the potential for the same kind of master control as was gotten with the first reboot of the Omnitrix. however, that potential was never met as the upgrade would only last for less than a week for reasons that are yet, unknown.
Omnitrix functions[]
active mode.[]
when the device is available to change the user into an alien, the core of the device will be green, with the exception of the mana-boosted Omnitrix now being a light purple. when the device has been activated, the device will change to being a badge on the transformed user. the badge will be an hourglass symbol, with the hourglass being white and the remaining space being black and the outer rim being a shiny silver colour. the badge will often rest on the chest of the transformation, unless that placement would be impossible, such as with the pyrite form having the badge on the collar bone or the Galvin form having the badge resting on the back of the form.
recharge mode[]
when the device has been used for anywhere from 5-15 minutes, it will return the user to the original species of the user. this is represented by a flashing red replacing the white of the badge before returning it to its standard appearance, although this time the core of the device will be red instead of green.
DNA capture mode.[]
being that the device's internal database is never going to contain all of the DNA samples it has the potential to collect new DNA samples. this occurs through a brief flash of yellow as it obtains the DNA sample. however, it is also possible for the device to contain entire beings by capturing their DNA. this has happened on two separate occasions, once was when azmuth trapped half of vilgax inside of the Omnitrix, and the other occasion was when Zs'Skayr would try to take a look inside of the Omnitrix, finding that half of his DNA had been trapped inside. the half of the DNA that got trapped inside was the half that allowed him to create his protective skin, which would protect him from the sunlight. however, its ability to recapture DNA was integral to Ben regaining his alien forms after half of them managed to escape after he and Charmcaster tried to hack the device with her magic to unlock mater control. although the aliens that escaped the device were made of raw DNA and mana, so the device was able to fully absorb them.
Omni-enhancement.[]
when the device was forced to reboot through the use of a galvanic mechamorph, the device was overloading the power and as such, the Fulmini pod was chosen to replace the now destroyed galvanic mechamorph pod. however, because of the overcharging of the device, the Fulmini DNA would often upgrade the other DNA pods. the badge doesn't change to represent this, however, this function was effectively purged from the device, although the Fulmini DNA pod would remain.
Omni-kix.[]
when the Omnitrix key is placed into the device, it unlocks the Omni-kix, no matter the orientation of the key. the Omni-kix is a set of Armor that encases the user, boosting the power of the transformation and the durability. to activate the Omni-kix, the user would have to turn the badge of the transformations 90 degrees. however, the use of the Omni-kix will drastically reduce the charge of the Omnitrix, making the user time out faster.
Omni-naught[]
when the key is inserted properly, the Omnitrix is able to access the Orbital Flight Suits, A.K.K the Omni-naut armour. this Armor acts very similarly to the Omni-kix Armor, however, it also has the added function of allowing the user to survive in environments that the transformation may not be able to survive in otherwise, such as allowing a pyrite to breathe underwater. for transformations that can survive in these environments, such as the Aerophibian, it still provides more protection than the Omni-kix, however, it also drains the charge of the Omnitrix fast. to activate it, the user must turn the badge 180 degrees from the initial transformation or 90 degrees from when the Omni-kix is activated.
Omni-guard.[]
the Omni-guard is a device of unknown origin. its main function is to protect the Omnitrix from magic, however, it was deactivated when the Omnitrix key was inserted. it can be found in a place called the void, not to be confused with the null void, however, the device was reactivated when the Omnitrix was overloaded with mana.

The Antitrix[]
the antitrix is an Omnitrix clone that was created by Kevin Ethan Levin with the blueprints that were sent to him in a dream by vilgax. since the antitrix was created by Kevin, he regularly tinkers with the device, making adjustments such as increasing the power of his aliens. all of the known aliens in the antitrix are mutants of two different alien species, although they will often take the form of a dominant DNA sample, such as the devices mutant of a tetramand and an unknown species having the physical appearance of mostly tetramand DNA. it is unknown how much the mutations affect the abilities of the different species. however, unlike the original Omnitrix, it can be hacked very easily by anybody with a high enough intelligence, and the device can be forced off of the user while active, unlike the original device, however, it is unknown if this happened because of vilgax being the one to take the device, or if this is possible for others who aren't vilgax.

Antitrix functions[]
the antitrix is a much more simplistic device when compared to the Omnitrix it is based on. and as such it only has two functions, both of which share the same red colour.
active mode.[]
when the device is active, the antitrix will function much the same as the Omnitrix, allowing the user to change into different alien forms, however as the device only transforms the user into mutant hybrids, all of the transformations match. while it is possible for the user to merge different DNA pods, the current user has no idea how to do so, despite being the one to build the device. when activated the antitrix will change into a badge, similarly to the Omnitrix, and it will retain its position on the chest of the alien form unless impossible, such as with the pyronite hybrid.
recharge mode.[]
when the antitrix is timing out, the black section of the K-like symbol will flash before returning the user to its original species. however, the device will remain red.
Omnitrix key compatibility[]
when the Omnitrix key is inserted the device gains significantly more power, enough to gain access to aliens that it shouldn’t have access to. this includes celestialsapien. however, since the antitrix uses the Omnitrix's internal database for its use of the DNA pods, it is possible that it is accessing a different Omnitrix when the key is inserted rather than the omniOmnitrixthe current universe.

The Ultimatrix[]
the Ultimatrix is a device created by a Galvin called albedo in an attempt to recreate the Omnitrix, and improve upon it. however, in doing so he found himself locked to a blue version of Ben's physical form. he was also stuck with Ben's playlist from the kixed version of the Omnitrix. however, its defining feature is its biggest con as it can evolve the species of the user's transformation through a simulation of various battles over a million years and give the user the resulting DNA, creating an ultimate form. however, since the device was incomplete when activated, it forces the user into the ultimate form immediately after transformation. this, and getting albedo stuck in a blue version of Ben's form, convinced albedo to try and take the real Omnitrix, although he would fail on every occasion.
ultimatrix functions[]
active mode.[]
when activated, the diel will be blue, and when the user has transformed into a species, it will gain a badge on the user's chest, unless impossible to do so. the badge is a blue hourglass symbol, most similar to the Omnitrix symbol but the white is replaced with blue. the time limit can last from months to minutes depending on how often the device is forced to evolve the species or quick transformations.
recharge mode.[]
when the ultimatrix's core has been drained of power, it will turn red, however, the number of transformations to make this happen is more than will happen with normal use. when recharging, the device's core will stay blue but will turn into a deeper shade of blue.
ultimate mode.[]
when the device is pressed while in transformation, spikes will emerge from the badge and the device forces the current transformation to go through the evolution simulation, this drains the core's energy faster than the quick transformations and almost any species can be forced through this evolution feature. however, if the DNA is inorganic or already too strong, such as a celestialsapien, then the ultimate transformation will fail.
connections to the Omnitrix.[]
the ultimatrix is bound to the playlist of the Omnitrix at the time of activation, this means that albedo's playlist is locked to Ben's playlist at the time of activation. while this meant he had the kixed playlist, however, if he deactivated the ultimatrix (by pulling out its core and placing it back in the device) he would gain Ben's current playlist. however when Ben receives his finalised Omnitrix, and the prototype Omnitrix is deactivated, albedo will loos his connection to the DNA pods within the prototype omnitrix
Trivia[]
- the Omnitrix is the only device to be able to store its own DNA pods instead of having to leach off of a different device's DNA pods.
- the ultimatrix is currently unfinished as not only does it default the user to the Omnitrix wielder's current form and playlist, at the time of activation.
- meaning that because albedo activate the ultimatrix shortly before the events of Tales from Bellwood: hero generation he had been given Ben's playlist from season 4 onwards of the Ben 10 2016 reboot.
- the antitrix has the potential to access more DNA pods and the key for that is closer than anybody realises.
- while the Omnitrix and antitrix can be worn by almost any being, Kevin has modified the antitrix to only respond to his and vilgax's DNA.
- he had to keep vilgax's DNA on the user's database to allow it to function.
- if Kevin wanted to, he could allow other people to use the antitrix in a desperate scenario, but they may end up with a randomised playlist made for their personality and needs.
- being without DNA, such as anodites, cannot use any of these devices.
- despite being made by albedo, the core of the ultimatrix was stolen from azmuth and since it was an incomplete core, albedo has no idea how to restore his true form without the real Omnitrix.
