Omniorigins is the twenty-ninth episode of Ben 10: Omniorigins, as well as the tenth episode of the second season.

Plot[]

Continuing from the events of the previous episode, Ben (as Wrapliceight), Stuart and Lugs observe the arrival of Azmuth and his son, Lemine, who formerly introduce themselves. Azmuth observes the Omnitrix, recognising it needs immediate repair, and somehow removes it from Wrapliceight telepathically, turning the latter back into Ben. Surprised at what Azmuth just did, Lemine sternly tells the duo to not question the creator of the Omnitrix, surprising the duo even more.

Azmuth demands some light as he fixes the Omnitrix, while Ben bombards Azmuth with questions about the watch. In the shadows, Varkness observes Azmuth's shadow, planning to abduct the latter to hand to his master. Unfortunately, Azmuth requires a light to make it easier to fix the Omnitrix, prompting Stuart to shine a flashlight which inadvertently deflected the incoming Varkness. One of Ben's questions - what the Omnitrix is - finally peaks Azmuth's interest, and finally decides to explain the Omnitrix's origins to the humans, much to Lemine's chargrin.

Centuries ago, when Azmuth was still a young Galvan, he witnessed the extinction of the Vladats on a planet called Anur Vladias. This sparked a revelation in Azmuth's mind; what would happen if every species in the universe suddenly went extinct. So Azmuth utilised the assistance of alien mosquitoes to collect samples of every sentient species in the universe and bring them back to Azmuth's lab, where he begins construction of the Omnitrix. The transformation feature was for the user to understand the stored species' physiologies and traits, creating better harmony between the universe. Azmuth then explains that should the stored species go extinct someday, the Omnitrix would act as a backup device and revive the species, allowing other species to continue observing these species.

Throughout his explanation, Varkness continuously tries to capture Azmuth, but Stuart continues changing the light's direction, preventing him from getting close. Ben apologises, worrying he used the Omnitrix the wrong way, as he thought it turned someone into aliens simply for mediocre tasks. Azmuth claims that he understands Ben's actions, claiming that the latter had been using the Omnitrix for good deeds, often trying to give his own life for others. Confused as to how Azmuth knows this, Lemine scoffingly claims that Azmuth is smart enough to use the Omnitrix as a camera whenever Ben uses it, observing his actions on how he uses the device. Stuart looks at Ben and claims he's proud at what Ben uses the watch for, with Azmuth claiming that Ben earned the device.

Finishing his repairs, Azmuth hands the Omnitrix back to Ben, who wonders what Azmuth means by earning the Omnitrix. Before he could answer, the group all hear a large spaceship descending down to Earth. Worried as he feels the ship looks familiar, Ben turns into Powerpipe and carries the group to the location of the ship, while Varkness looks in defeat at another failed attempt to get both Azmuth and the Omnitrix. Arriving in Bellwood while the ship descends, two aliens appear, who Lemine recognises as Cremace and Bladze, two famous alien bounty hunters. Observing the Omnitrix on Powerpipe's chest, Cremace claims that they have found their target, and summons drones to try and capture Powerpipe.

Powerpipe realises this, and provokes the drones into chasing him while Stuart battles the bounty hunters with the Galvans hiding in his compartments. Leading the drones to an area without any civilians, Powerpipe blasts the drones with jets of his liquid, causing them to overload from the high energy and explode. Back in Bellwood, Stuart is holding his own against the bounty hunters despite their powers and strength in numbers, freezing Bladze in place. Unfortunately, he gets knocked down and Cremace prepares to burn him to ashes, but Powerpipe suddenly returns and turns into Thornhenge, slamming into Cremace. Bladze manages to break free and creates large spike tendrils out of the ground, surprising Thornhenge as he did not know he had that ability.

The tendrils lash out at the heres, and Thornhenge manages to mimic the ability and produce his own tendrils, though they are more unstable due to his inexperience. Nevertheless, he manages to create a spiky sword and have a sword fight with Bladze, while Stuart tries to get the Galvans out of harm. Cremace stops him, and demands the Galvans be handed to him and they would leave peacefully, but Stuart still refuses. Cremace gets annoyed and begins firing a powerful fire blast at Stuart, who barely dodges it in time, causing it to accidentally burn one of Thornhenge's tendrils. Thornhenge manages to jump of in time, and begins to fire some spikes at Cremace who easily burns them. Bladze jumps behind Thornhenge and prepares to attack, but he and Cremace are blinded by a flash of light.

Stuart flies in and grabs Thornhenge while the hunters are blinded, and Thornhenge turns back into Ben. Lemine chastises Ben on his current aliens, saying that none of them can help Ben in his current situation. Azmuth agrees with Lemine, and offers to help Ben, asking Stuart to land on top of a building. He then hops onto the Omnitrix and begins pulling the dial, claiming that when he was fixing the Omnitrix, he observed all the aliens Ben currently had. Inputting a special code, Azmuth gives Ben a whole new set of 10 aliens fitting for the current situation, but explains that the feature can only be used once in about 3 months. After the code is set, Ben excitedly looks at all his new aliens and turns into one of them.

Azmuth explains the alien's species and power to manipulate temperature, prompting Ben to name him Thermattack just as the bounty hunters arrive. Using his powers, Thermattack somehow makes Cremace's flames become solid ice, in which Azmuth explains that Thermattack could reverse the properties of temperatures. Upon hearing this, Stuart fires a freeze ray at Bladze while Thermattack reverses it, turning it into a heat ray that traps the latter. Realising they need to get up, Thermattack tries to fly before Lemine explains that he is unable to, prompting Azmuth to turn Thermattack into an alien called Clamlight. Seeing that Thermattack was no longer there, Cremace begins firing another fire blast, but Clamlight traps him into his mouth and subsequently extinguishes him.

Clamlight then spits out Cremace at Bladze while Stuart freezes the duo, then Azmuth tells Stuart to get inside of Clamlight's mouth, while he tells Clamlight to run. Clamlight then gets an idea and instead begins to climb to the ship to send it away, which Stuart supports the idea. After biting into the center of the ship, the group decide to find the control room to try and send the ship away from Earth, but have to continuously tell Clamlight to be quiet as his talking could give away their location. While walking through the ship, Stuart notes that it resembled Apex the Predator's ship when he came last time to try and take the Omnitrix, leading Clamlight to realise something. Before he could even open his mouth, the group gets pinned to a wall with a slime.

The slime is revealed to have been originated from a blaster shot by Apex the Predator, much to Clamlight and Stuart's shock, though they claimed to have assumed it was him. Clamlight turns back into Ben and asks about his last defeat, in which Apex claims to have returned for his prize, and that the creators of the Omnitrix being present on Earth was a bonus. Stuart wonders why he returned to Earth now, when he could've come at any time, in which he is answered by Cremace and Bladze who have arrived on the ship. Bladze exclaims that they were paid to capture the Galvans, but their cloaking technology made it difficult to track them. It was not until they found the Galvan's teleporting signature appearing on their scanners, prompting them to team up with Apex to get both their prizes.

By freeing Apex from intergalactic law enforcers (abandoning Nottulg in the process), the trio acquired a new ship similar to Apex's old one, and went to Earth in order to hunt down their targets. Ben claims that they evaded the hunters before, and will do it again, prompting Apex to grab a laser blade to try remove the Omnitrix from Ben, stating that he'll finish him off for good as he had information on all of Ben's aliens, negating any form of counterattack. Before he could attack, Stuart gets his attention, telling Apex that the group will escape, and the slime holding him and the Galvans freezes, enabling Stuart to break free. It is revealed that Lugs was in one of the armour's compartments and was unaffected by the slime, enabling him to use Stuart's freeze ray.

Cremace and Bladze prepare to battle Stuart, while Ben gets Apex's attention, claiming he made a mistake when he said he could counter all of Ben's aliens. He then uses the fully charged Omnitrix to turn into Chicolt, who then frees himself from the slime and begins rolling around Apex's ship, knocking down the hunters a few times. He then gets into close combat with Apex himself, who is unable to keep up with his swift movements, and gets scratched by Chicolt. Bladze and Cremace try to attack Stuart, but are unable to and Cremace eventually gets eaten by Lugs, only to get spat out extinguished. Bladze fires a few spikes at Stuart, accidentally hitting the ship's controls and causing it to fall back down to Earth.

As the ship descends, Apex continues trying to battle Chicolt, claiming to never stop until he finishes hunting Ben. Deciding to end things quickly, Chicolt fires a powerful blast from his beak, knocking Apex into space just as he equips his helmet. Chicolt turns back into Ben, and claims they need to escape, but Stuart states they need to completely destroy the ship, otherwise it could destroy Bellwood. The remaining hunters -not willing to leave without their pay- demands that they finish their fight, when Azmuth reasons with them into thinking about what's more valuable: their money or their life. As the group runs through the ship, the hunters think about Azmuth's advice. Inside a large area, Lemine recognises the various plasma cannons stored there.

Ben gets an idea and tells the Galvans to prepare to fire those cannons, just as he turns into Clamlight again. Stuart figures out what he's doing and tries to get him to stop, but Clamlight tells him they have no other choice. Reluctantly, Stuart and the Galvans find some controls and prepare to fire the cannon just as Clamlight crawls into it. Initially hesitating to fire, Stuart finally decides to press a button, grabbing the Galvans just as the cannon powers up. It tries to fire, but Clamlight's body is blocking it, causing it to backfire and eventually explode alongside the ship, just as Stuart and the Galvans jump out in time. Cremace and Bladze also manage to safely escape with an escape pod, still thinking about Azmuth's advice.

The ship turns into harmless pieces of debris, all falling into a nearby lake, whereas Stuart manages to safely land them on the nearby docks. Looking at the raining debris, Stuart thinks about Ben's selfless act, in which Azmuth and Lemine also admire. As things couldn't surprise them any more, Clamlight suddenly crashes into the water in front of them, before floating to the surface slightly dazed. He turns back into Ben, and Stuart excitedly helps him out of the water (telling him to never do scare them like that again). Azmuth claims he was right to choose Ben as the wielder of the Omnitrix, while Lemine secretly admits he was wrong about humans. Hearing what Azmuth said led Ben to realise that it was Azmuth who delivered the Omnitrix to Ben.

Azmuth states that the entire Universe is on Ben's wrist, and decides to leave it in good hands, opening a portal to leave with Lemine. Before he leaves, Ben asks Azmuth what else the Omnitrix can do, in which he claims that Ben's smart enough to learn how to do it, and leaves. Stuart is bewildered at everything they've experienced so far, but Ben claims to just be happy with what he has, an challenges Stuart to a friendly race back to The Fictioverse as he activates the Omnitrix.
