The Omnimatrix Mark 1, called simply the Omnimatrix is a watch-like device, used by Alex.
Appearance[]
The Omnimatrix resembles a wristwatch with a square faceplate. It has a white and red color scheme. The faceplate is black with two red stripes forming an outline for the hourglass of the intergalactic peace symbol. When the faceplate is slid back, the Omnimatrix's core is revealed.

Malfunctions[]
- The Omnimatrix's recalibration feature was shut-down completely and can't be turned back on.
- Its holographic interface often freezes.
- Using the quick-transformation can cause the Omnimatrix to overheat, shutting down most of its functions.
Modes[]
Active Mode is the Omnimatrix's default mode. Normally Active Mode is active when the Omnimatrix can be used and nothing is wrong. The actual usage time is 20 minutes, but If the user changes from one form to another, due to the Omnimatrix's failsafe, several minutes of its remaining active time would be depleted
Recharge Mode's main purpose is to keep the Omnimatrix from damaging the user. Recharge Mode is activated when the Omnimatrix runs out of time. It takes exactly 5 minutes if the watch timed-out normally and up to several hours if it overheated.
Scan Mode is used to scan new DNA by being near the alien it detects. Due to meddling with the watch prior to its arrival on Earth, Scan mode was prioritized, closing out the Omnimatrix's other functions until the DNA sample is acquired.

Trivia[]
- The Omnimatrix had its recalibration function disabled, locking it permanently into its original state.
- Because of Zarmaruk's meddling with the device, it was a tendency to give Alex the wrong alien more often than what he has selected.
- Despite that error, the Omnimatrix doesn't mistransform.
