Plot[]
Early one morning, Ben and Stuart drive to attend the Comic Festival being held in Colorado. During their journey, Ben sees an object falling from the sky and crashing into a nearby field. He informs Stuart, and the duo decide to investigate, as Ben claimed the smoke trail was purple in colour.
Upon parking the car, Ben and Stuart prepare to approach the object that fell out of the sky, with the former preparing to activate the Omnitrix. Before he could do so, Ben sees the watch covered in ketchup from a burger he ate earlier. After wiping it off, Ben turns the Omnitrix dial to check if it still works, engulfing him in a transformation glow. Ben then sees himself as a new chicken-like alien, surprising both him and Stuart. Looking at his new alien, Ben remembers what Vantarck told him about the Omnitrix having more than ten aliens, though he claims he is just as surprised as Stuart about an additional alien being in the device.
As the duo observe the new alien further, a portal opens in the sky. A dark colossal beast rises from the crash site and enlarges itself as 4 skeleton-like individuals on horses come out of the portal surrounding the beast. Ben and Stuart rush to the scene, though Ben struggles with his transformation’s incredibly small legs and instead runs with his hands. Upon arriving, they see the large beast digging into the ground with its jaws as if it were eating the terrain. One of the horsemen sees Ben and Stuart and approaches them. The purple horseman introduces himself as Grathius, and the creature he and his cohorts, Drakius, Vornos and Riapos, are all followers of The Great Devourer, the very creature eating the ground.
Riapos claims that The Great Devourer is an entity that has an insatiable hunger, going to various different planets to consume them, while the four horsemen all defend him. Seeing this as a threat, Ben uses his new alien to attack with an explosive egg, though it easily gets repelled by Drakius. Now confirming that the humans wouldn’t allow them to do as they please, the horsemen attack, while Ben struggles with his new alien’s explosive egg spit. Stuart briefly battles Vornos and Riapos while Ben attempts to control his blasts, only to get knocked back by Grathius with Stuart rushing to his aid. The horsemen prepare to follow them, but Vornos reminds them that they all need to stay close to The Great Devourer and protect him as he feeds, showing them that the devourer can defend itself as it releases smaller larvae into the air.
Stuart finds Ben back in his human form, who claims his new alien’s abilities and weird physique make him more unsuitable than his other long ranged aliens. Stuart reminds Ben that they’ll learn about his new alien in due time. As they discuss this, the duo see the larvae devouring everything in sight. A few of them approach the duo, but Stuart fires freezing rays at them while Ben wards them off with a stick. After eating his stick, a larva cries out, attracting more larvae to attack the duo. Several of them eat the ground and make it weak, causing Ben and Stuart to lose their footing and get overwhelmed by the larvae. However, the Omnitrix manages to successfully activate and turn Ben into Grapplight, escaping alongside Stuart.
The larvae all chase their prey, though they are stopped by several globules fired by Grapplight, sticking them together. Stuart sees that they are approaching The Great Devourer and gets an idea, telling Grapplight to prepare himself. Stuart fires a blast at The Great Devourer which successfully hits it, worrying the horsemen as they begin to chase the duo. As they catch up to them, Grapplight fires a sticky string and wraps around all four horsemen, allowing Stuart to freeze them in ice. After placing the horsemen away from The Devourer, Grapplight and Stuart decide to fly to it.
Arriving at The Devourer, Stuart and Grapplight attack it to no avail. Grapplight then decides to hurt it in a way that it would stop consuming the land, and transforms into Meltter. Despite his best efforts, Meltter is unable to harm The Great Devourer because of its quick regenerative abilities. After turning back into Ben, Stuart claims that The Devourer has to have a weakness, but they need to figure it out quickly before it devours the planet’s core. Ben then proceeds to turn into Anatacles, Bombadrag, Slamurai, Transmelt, Thornhenge, Constrictaconda and Powerpipe, all failing to even damage it. Ben gets tired and bets that he has one last alien to use, but Stuart reminds him he has 2.
Ben refuses to turn into his new alien as they have no time to train, but Stuart reminds him that he needs to understand the alien first. As they begin to argue about this, the horsemen all return, forcing Stuart into action in order to protect Ben while he makes a decision. Remembering what Stuart said about understanding, Ben turns into Hammerhack and observes The Devourer and the horsemen while thinking about his new alien. Within seconds, Hammerhack had figured out a solution and grabs onto Vornos, causing one of the latter’s blasts to accidentally strike Drakius. Using his current height, Hammerhack jumps off the horse and saws his way into The Great Devourer, who is unable to regenerate fast enough to stop Hammerhack, much to the horror of the horsemen.
Successfully penetrating The Devourer’s hardened skin, Hammerhack ends up in its internal organs, observing with amazement and disgust. Preparing to attack, Hammerhack turns into his new alien and begins firing explosive eggs all around The Devourer’s insides, much to the horror of the horseman outside as they watch their master get injured. Because of this, the four horsemen decide to abandon their attack on Stuart and open a portal to The Devourer’s insides, though Stuart follows them. Inside The Devourer, Ben’s new alien fires a variety of explosive eggs, enjoying himself just as the horsemen arrive. Despite their best efforts, Ben manages to fight them off alongside Stuart, who also helps in damaging The Devourer. After firing an explosion, Ben sees The Devourer’s heart, then looks at the equipment on his arms.
Crossing his hands together, the shields on his arm form an X-shape, causing him to fire a powerful blast from the middle of the X that obliterates The Devourer’s heart, destroying it and covering everyone in goop. The horsemen all look in shock at their defeated master, then look in fear as another portal opens in the sky. Grathius claims that they were cursed to protect The Devourer in exchange for eternal life, and will now be banished as they have failed. As the portal begins to suck all the horsemen into it, Riapos vows to have revenge on Ben and Stuart. Looking at the portal closing, Ben and Stuart feel relieved at their success, as well as the knowledge of more aliens in the Omnitrix. While Ben and Stuart walk back to the car (with Stuart hoping it wasn’t eaten), Ben officially names his new alien; Chicolt.

Allusions[]
- This episode parodies the original series episode, The Big Tick, as there are many similar elements used.
- The Great Devourer's name is based of the same character from the Ninjago series, whereas its overall design and its horsemen all resemble Yamigedo and The Knights of Apocalypse from Future Card Buddyfight.
- All the creatures are similar, as they are large entities of evil intending to devour the world with an army which defends them.
- Grathius' quote "All will be revealed, children" is based on a phrase in X-Men: Apocalypse by En Sabah Nur, "All will be revealed my child". Similarly, En Sabah Nur is an entity of evil with four followers known as horsemen.
- The way the horsemen get sucked into the portal due to their defeat is similar to how the Zealots are banished to the Dark Dimension in the film, Doctor Strange.
