Neon is the Omnitrix's DNA sample of a Chronian from the planet Chronia in Universe 3008 coming from Eon.

Appearance

Eon looks very much like his genetic donor, wearing the same traditional Chronian battle armor as Eon. However he is younger, has palish skin and green eyes as well as the rest of conductive chrono-conductive canals on his suit and gauntlets.

History

Race Against Time

• Neon's DNA was sampled into the Omnitrix when Eon forcefully inserted his own DNA using his Molecukinetic abilities retaining his personality in the DNA sampled. He then transformed Ben forcefully into Neon which retained much of his personality. Neon was confronted by Grandpa Max, Gwen and the plumbers after his genetic donor had left to die quietly somewhere else. Ben succeeded in gaining control of the form and after getting rid of Eon's servants he transformed back to human. Enraged Eon came back and confronted Ben one last time before beying hurled into the Hands of Armageddon and transported across the time-stream.

Ben 10

• Neon was briefly reused by Ben in Trick or Threaten to defeat Skal and Gjau, Ben temporarily overcame his fears of using him when he noticed that Eon's presence was gone, tho Ben still didn't consider using him afterwards out of fear another Ghostfreak-like incident would happen.
• He was used again briefly when Ben regained the master control in Siege of Pyros: Part 3 to fight Animo and Dr. Viktor.

Etymology

Neon's name is mainly composed of two words, Neo and Eon, hinting at the fact that he is, in a way, Eon reborn, but the in-universe reason why Ben named him so is due to his glowy armor, a nod to his childish naming tendencies when it comes to naming his aliens.

Trivia

• As Chronians resemble humans so much, Neon was used by Ben a handful of times to sneak into R-Rated movies and other places where he wouldn't be normally allowed, passing by as a mere adult with a vitamin D deficiency, he also wears glasses to hide his unnatural eyes.
• Neon was the second alien to take over Ben's personality, however with the Omnitrix's personality strip functionality Ben was able to have full control of the form.
• Eon himself is fine with the concept of Ben using his genetic copy to do good after Eon and Ben have made peace with each other and Ben helped Eon bring his people to a safer place.
  • He is also quite proud of it, seeing himself in Neon, as a sentinel of peace which he was always meant to be and furthermore as an exemplary representative of the Chronians to all life forms in the universe.
