Mr. Salad is the Hero Watch's DNA sample of a Florauna from the planet Flors Verdance in Omniverse: At Night and is the Dimension 23 equivalent of Wildvine.
Appearance[]
Mr. Salad looks identical to 11-year-old Wildvine in Omniverse, except his mossy green body is coloured the same aquamarine colour as Mr. Mucky, while the lighter patches are coloured a light teal. The teeth on his flytrap-shaped flaps are coloured white.
The Hero Watch is located on his chest.
Powers and Abilities[]
Mr. Salad possesses chlorokinesis, which allows him to telepathically interface with plant life, as demonstrated by Kevin's Omniverse Flashback Mutation when he trapped the Tennysons and his own teammates by trapping them in thick vines, and by Negative Wildvine when he used chlorokinesis to wrap several people onto tables.
Mr. Salad can alter parts of his body, being able to grow and extend his arms, legs, and fingers into prehensile vine-like tendrils to grab and restrain others. He can also enlarge his flytrap to a size that can fit an entire person.
Mr. Salad can swing around with great agility, and quickly tunnel underground.
Mr. Salad can grow black spore pods on his back that contain a whole host of substances, allowing him to use them as explosives or smoke bombs. His pods can also grow vines. Mr. Salad also can tame Gracklflints using his spore pods, as demonstrated by Pax.
Mr. Salad is able to regenerate his body if any part of it gets damaged, as demonstrated by Pax.
Mr. Salad can grow sharp thorns on his body and launch them at his foes.
Mr. Salad possesses enhanced strength, as he was able to trap a Loboan in his tendrils, stop a falling cargo lift from landing on Max and Gwen and hold it for a short time, and easily break rocks with his bare hands, with all these being demonstrated by Wildvine.
Mr. Salad is immune to the effects of a flame retardant.
Mr. Salad may be immune to a Vladat's Corrupturas if he can exert enough willpower.
Mr. Salad can close his flytrap, as seen during his fight with the Werewolf when he dragged him underground. He can also trap people by closing his flytrap, as demonstrated by the Florauna on Xenon.
Mr. Salad is able to communicate with sentient plants.
Mr. Salad is capable of making whips by extruding tendrils out of the palms of his hands.
Mr. Salad can fuse himself to any terrestrial plant, such as Earth trees, as demonstrated with Wildvine.
Weaknesses[]
Mr. Salad's vines can be tangled.
If Mr. Salad stretches himself too much, his arms will stay stretched and unable to shorten.
Mr. Salad has a weakness against electricity, such as that generated by an Amperi, as demonstrated with Pax.
Being a plant-based alien, Mr. Salad is particularly sensitive to extremely cold temperatures. Unless he is given his energy source, he will quickly dry up, wilt, and perish.
History[]
Appearances[]
Etymology[]
Mr. Salad's name was coined from a quote 11-year-old Gwen said in the Omniverse episode: Evil's Encore, with the quote being: "Really? Mr. Salad to the rescue?"
Trivia[]
- Originally, Mr. Salad's name was going to be Thornbush, but Benzarro85 decided against it, since it was deemed too clever of a name for Ben 23.
