Miniature Combat is the thirty-third episode of Ben 10: Omniorigins, as well as the fourteenth episode of the second season.

Plot[]

In an arena, an alien named Slix Vigma announces himself as the host of an annual fighting ring, where many champions from different planets are brought in to battle others. He then claims to have come to a small planet and brought in its champion, showing the crowd Ben Tennyson trapped in a cosmic chair.

A flashback occurs back on Earth, where Ben as Takeout jumps in front of a car full of robbers, stopping them in their tracks, unaware that he is being watched by someone. As the police take the robbers away, Ben (who has just reverted from Takeout) and Stuart claim to have enjoyed the chase, when an elderly man asks for their help. As the duo approach him to see what he needs, the old man sprays the duo with a gas that incapacitates them just before they are all teleported away. They are then placed on a ship, where the old man removes his ID mask and reveals himself as a galvan.

In the present, Stuart -also tied to a cosmic chair- admits that it was a good trick that Idon (the Galva) pulled on them, but gets electrocuted b the latter who prefers Stuart to keep quiet. Slix Vigma claims that Ben will now fight a foe greater than himself, releasing Ben from the chair into an arena. Ben prepares to activate the Omnitrix to battle Vigma, but sees an unusual device attached to it. Idon explains that it would be foolish for them to allow Ben to choose aliens he's used before to fight in the arena, so while Ben was unconsious, Idon created a device that would allow Vigma to choose what Ben turns into, including aliens that Ben had never had access to.

Vigma decides to begin the fight now, teleporting himself to a safe viewing area and leaving Ben at the center of the arena where a super large alien suddenly appears, which Vigma calls a Way Bad. Beginning the fight, Idon electrocutes the Way Bad, enraging it enough to begin attacking Ben, who frantically runs while vainly trying to activate the Omnitrix. Vigma decides to give Ben a chance to fight back, saying it wouldn't be entertaining for him to be defeated so quickly. Using the remote, Vigma activates the Omnitrix and turns Ben into a smaller alien that Idon had picked beforehand while he was hacking the Omnitrix. Realising he was Way Smaller (which Ben decides to name the alien), Ben continues to run around the Way Bad.

Stuart calls out Idon and Vigma for their dirty fights, in which a hologram of Vigma appears and tells Stuart its all for the sake of entertainment. Way Small continues to fruitlessly learn his powers while under the stress of evading the Way Bad's assault as the crowd laughs in amusement. At this point, Vigma feels that Way Small's constant evasion is making the fight boring, prompting him to activate a trigger that electrocutes Way Small. Stunned, Way Small manages to narrowly evade being crushed by the Way Bad just in time, causing the crowd to cheer even wildly to Slix Vigma's delight. Stuart watches this and begins wondering how he could outsmart a Galvan with his extreme intelligence, realising he was becoming hungry.

Way Small gets tired and feels powerless to the Way Bad, but decides to keep going as he'll find a way to beat the Way Bad. As soon as he thinks of the Way Bad's head, Way Small suddenly falls through a portal and appears on a rough surface. The crowd looks in amazement and confusion as to where Way Small went, when it turns out Way Small had teleported onto the Way Bad's head, becoming even smaller. Slix Vigma sees what happened and realises Ben had finally figured out how to use Way Small's powers, worrying him. He informs Idon, who had also realised what Way Small had achieved, and proceeds to affect the latter's concentration using sonic cannons called Palpitizors. The sound affects both the Way Bad and Way Small, the latter becoming even more hurt due to his current size.

Dazed by the sound attack, Way Small falls onto the ground through a portal, reverting to his original size, allowing Vigma to force the Way Bad to attack. However, Way Small manages to recover seconds before the Way Bad attacks, teleporting to its shoulder. Fully stabilising himself, Way Small figures out a way to use his powers and proceeds to run, creating a portal he immediately jumps through, suddenly appearing and hitting the Way Bad, finally damaging him. Before falling to the ground, Way Small creates another portal that enables him to hide from the Way Bad again. He then proceeds to continue the cycle as the crowd now cheers for Ben, while Slix Vigma looks in both disappointment but delight.

Stuart also watches in delight as well at how Ben is using his new alien, and tells Idon to get him some food as watching Ben suceed in defeating the Way Bad was making him hungry. Idon initially refuses, but Stuart reasons with him and manages to get a plate of goo with a fork as his meal. Meanwhile, Way Small begins to gain the upper hand as he continues attacking the Way Bad, leading Vigma to feel delighted as the crowd is getting fired up. As he tells Idon about his new champion, the Galvan advises him to make sure he doesn't win, claiming that if Ben wins, then he'll go after Vigma next. Worried, Vigma watches Way Small continue his attacks against the Way Bad as he thinks about what Idon told him.

As Idon watches on, Stuart manages to free himself from the chair using the fork, while using the slimy food to pin Idon to the wall, then grabbing his armour and freezes the goo. Stuart equips his armour and escapes, searching the ship only to find a room filled with captured fighters. Eventually, the Way Bad is prepared to fall, causing Slix Vigma to worry that Idon is right when he couldn't contact the latter. As the crowd urges Way Small to deliver the finishing punch, Vigma finally panics and activates the Omnitrix remote, turning Way Small into Dummy Bag. Vigma then electrocutes the Way Bad into attacking the defenseless Dummy Bag, but Stuart suddenly arrives with a few fighters and blasts Vigma with a severed Palpitizor Cannon.

As the fighters tie up Vigma, Stuart grabs the Omnitrix remote and activates it just as the Way Bad steps on Dummy Bag. While the crowd watches in silence, a few coloured balls soon emerge from the Way Bad's foot, revealing that Dummy Bag had been turned into Transmelt just in time. Transmelt then proceeds to fire a blast at the Way Bad, disintegrating its shock pad, though the Way Bad still attacks him out of anger. Transmelt then fires another blast at the wall of the arena, creating a large hole big enough for the Way Bad to run through, before disintegrating the device on the Omnitrix as well as his own shock pad. As Slix Vigma's guards are being flailed helplessly by the Way Bad, Transmelt meets up with Stuart and all the fighters.

Transmuting all their shock pads, Transmelt turns back into Ben and wonders what to do now. An alien claiming to be a Galvanic Mechamorph claims that he can help them all get home, then merges with Slix Vigma (revealing that he was a robot) and hacks into the ship, triggering its teleportation system to take all the prisoners to their home planets just before the Way Bad completely demolishes the ship. Ben and Stuart are teleported back to the place they were abducted on Earth, and claim that the experience bewildered them. The duo look at the new equipment and alien they acquired, though Ben worries as he now knows the Omnitrix can be hacked.

Stuart reassures Ben that they would be more vigilant, and won't ever let anyone tamper with the Omnitrix again. Ben smiles, then asks Stuart if he wants to go to his apartment to play video games, which Stuart accepts, only for him to faint from exhaustion.
