Maxwell "Max" Tennyson or Grandpa Max his grandchildren call him, is the paternal grandfather of Ben and Gwen.
Appearance[]
He looks exactly like Max from the Original Reboot.
Personality[]
Max cares about his grandkids, and is usually not too strict with them. He teaches them things a normal parent would teach. He is usually on Gwen's side when Ben and Gwen fight. He seems to always be the voice of reason.
Max seems to really enjoy food, as shown when he ate a sandwich with Stinkfly's goo in it.
Max always tries to make sure his grandkids are safe and looks after them. As such, he will do anything to keep his them safe, as he was willing to jump into the volcano to help Ben with Vilgax right before Gwen jumped in.
Max deeply values the Rustbucket, as shown when he gets angry over LaGrange insulting the Rustbucket. When Ben asks he how much he loves the Rustbucket, Max tells him more than anything in the world", although Max accepts it is simply an object. Max also seems to be really into the Omni-Copter, seeing as how he both names the copter and changes the name every once in a while.
Max seems rather fearless, as shown while the copter was being attacked he calmly says a panicking Phil "Doesn't this remind you of the good old days?"
Max does not like feeling left out or useless, showing jealousy of Ben and Kevin fighting over Vin. He even tried to take on Hex on his own just so he can feel of use before learning he should except the things he can't do.
Max is protective of his grandkids when it comes to them being criticized by peers, as he viewed Maximilian as an "insensitive jerk" for calling his grandson a "stubborn brat".
Despite his fondness of his days as a Plumber, Max is constantly denying this to his grandkids. For example, he interrupted Gwen when she asked Phil who he meant by "we". When Alien Force Ben brings up his dimension's Plumbers, Max was very embarrassed and acted in full denial.

Phil Billings[]
Max and Phil are very close friends. They've been friends since childhood, and made contact with aliens together. Later on, Max helped Phil create the Omni-Copter.
Kevin Levin[]
Like the rest of the Tennyson family, he is wary of Kevin. However, he has acknowledged the good in him and his actions.
Powers and Abilities[]
Max doesn't have any superpowers, however, he has wisdom and basic knowledge on how to survive in the wilderness. He is in above average condition for a man of his age, as he was able to hold back the Cadobbit.
Max seems to be pretty acrobatic for a man his age as, while under Zombozo's mind control, he was able to do a whole flip from one table to another, right before getting hit with Ben's cake.
Max is also a very skilled driver.
For a man his age, Max seems to be very skilled at self defense, as he was able to take on a security guard controlled by Forever Knight's helmet with little to no struggle.
Equipment[]
Max has been shown to be very skilled at using makeshift weapons in combat against the group's main villains, though in the final battle of Alien X-Tinction, he wielded 2 Plumber blasters granted to him by Maximilian Tennyson.
Weakness[]
Max has been afraid of goats since childhood and still is.
Max can be easily squished by things heavier than him like Cannonbolt.
