Manifold is the Infinimatrix's DNA sample of a Hiofrup from the dimension Elozsto in Ben 10: Protector of the Omniverse.

Appearance[]

Manifold is an eight-foot-tall humanoid alien with a cartilaginous skeleton and a hunched posture. A fine coat of floral lavender hair covers his body, and he has two large rose-colored fins behind his shoulders. He has two arms with three fingers and four long legs: two in front and two on the back, all lacking toes. He has eight circular green eyes spread evenly around his head. The Infinimatrix symbol is on his chest.

Transformation Sequence[]

Ben slams down the Infinimatrix's dial and is engulfed in a green light.

Ben hovers in a dark green background, with light green bubbles pulsating rapidly behind him, as he crouches down.

Powers and Abilities[]

Manifold is able to perceive the spatial distances: the dimensions (length, width and height), distances between objects, shapes, and sizes of things. He can discern how far away something is and the exact measurements of the proportions of an object. He can also determine if a space has changed since his last visit.

Manifold is connected to the rest of his species. Because of this, he can detect if one of them uses their spatial manipulation powers (if they are in the same dimension as him), or if one of them phases dimensions.

Manifold can generate three-dimensional space, extending the distance between two different points of spatial locations.

Manifold can deplete three-dimensional space, reducing the distance between two different points of spatial locations. Since space basically acts as a boundary of existence for all, if the space around any matter or energy is depleted, then the said matter would also be erased from existence.

Manifold can bend the space of the target, whether being, object or anything else, in order to reshape them by stretching, twisting, deforming and bending them in any way possible without harming them, tearing them apart or breaking them.

Manifold can phase between different dimensional variances, essentially jumping between a subspace connecting the main world with his species' home dimension, Elozstu, enabling one easy interaction with both while not necessarily being situated within either. He can bring others to Elozstu by maintaining physical contact with them.

Manifold can manipulate which direction something will go while keeping its original speed and power and which direction an object is facing, even if it isn't moving.

Manifold can turn intangible. He can also manipulate the tangibility of objects and matter at will, allowing him to turn tangible objects completely intangible and incapable of physical interaction and vice-versa.

Manifold's eyes give him 360-degree vision, making it extremely difficult to sneak up on him.

Manifold has an extremely well developed sense of balance.

Weaknesses[]

Manifold's powers work by sight, so blinding him would render him powerless.

If Manifold is in Elozstu when he reverts to Ben, he will be stuck there.

Species and Planet Information[]

Many Hiofrups believe that their powers come from a spiritual connection to Elozstu. They develop powers at a young age. Some children involuntarily phase through dimensions due to their lack of control.

As they exist in a different dimension, most Hiofrups do not recognize the authority of law enforcement agencies such as the Plumbers. However, hypocritically, they expect visitors to follow their laws.

Elozstu works with different physics than the main dimension. For example, inhabitants can walk in any direction, even vertically. Although it is habitable to most species, their powers may not work correctly.

History[]

Appearances[]

Etymology[]

A manifold is a collection of points forming a certain kind of set, such as those of three or more dimensions. This refers to how Manifold can phase through dimensions.

His home dimension, Elozstu, is a misspelling of the Hungarian word for "manifold", "elosztó".

Trivia[]

  • Credit to Ultra3000 for some of Manifold's appearance, his 360° vision and enhanced equilibrium.
  • Manifold speaks in a deep voice.
  • Azmuth collected the Hiofrup DNA sample for the Omnitrix when one of them phased into the main dimension during one of his off-world excursions. As the species does not originate from the main dimension, Azmuth was initially unfamiliar with them and asked to be taken to Elozstu to satisfy his curiosity, but was denied.
