===Early history===

{{Timestamp|Corten II|December 27, 1989, 3:26 PM|EST}}

In a castle on the planet, a young Lotin watches Lazmir, his father and a scientist, argue with [[Prenar]], the king, who tells Lazmir that his project is not worth the resources. Angered by this statement, Lazmir calls the king a corrupt monster before pulling a gun on the king, firing three shots, and killing him instantly. As the guards rush to tackle Lazmir, they push Lotin aside. The scientist breaks away from the guards for just long enough to turn the gun on himself, committing suicide as Lotin watches in fear.

A short while later, [[Wevera]] arrives at the castle to console Lotin. She tells him that will be hard for them without his father, and then asks her son if she ever told him where his name came from, and when he replies no, she responds that she named him Lotin because it means "brave" in the ancient Telecortexian language.<ref name=eg115>{{YPREF|G115}}</ref>

On December 27, 2011, Lotin was severely injured on a mission to Earth to investigate Khyber and the Blast Masters. Seeing as he would one day do "great things," Paradox brought him to the Infinity Pool to heal his otherwise mortal wounds. Unfortunately, the pool took away his sanity and made him want power, more than the power he had experienced while in the pool. He soon discovered the existence of an all-powerful crystal and began his search for it.

Lotin is freed from the network of plants by Relgo. Lotin suggests they head to the bunker, and on their way their they encounter Viper. She tells them that she will kill of the Magisters except for the spy among other things. She retraps them in plants and sets a bomb to explode in one hour before heading off. Relgo eventually frees the Magisters again as they start searching for the bomb. Viper keeps blocking their path, so eventually Lotin suggests that the Magisters split up. He goes with Hornbok and Relgo. The three Magisters head for the office. They eventually meet up with Dillius, arrive at their headquarters and find the bomb. All the Magisters eventually regroup and defeat Viper as Hornbok begins working on disabling the bomb. After the bomb is disabled, Lotin reveals to the other Magisters that he is the spy and preceeds to trap them in mid air. After a brief discussion, Paradox arrives and reveals Lotin's back story; however, he interferes again and helps the Magisters capture both Viper and Lotin.

Later, they eventually escape and Lotin uses his powers to trap the Magisters under his control. Lotin distracts them from talking about their now fuzzy memories by mentioning that he found Dillius dead in his office.<ref name=e2>{{YPREF|2}}</ref>
