− | In a castle on the planet, a young Lotin watches Lazmir, his father and a scientist, argue with [[Prenar]], the king, who tells Lazmir that his project is not worth the resources. Angered by this statement, Lazmir calls the king a corrupt monster before pulling a gun on the king, firing three shots, and killing him instantly. As the guards rush to tackle Lazmir, they push Lotin aside. The scientist breaks away from the guards for just long enough to turn the gun on himself, committing suicide as Lotin watches in fear. |

− | A short while later, [[Wevera]] arrives at the castle to console Lotin. She tells him that will be hard for them without his father, and then asks her son if she ever told him where his name came from, and when he replies no, she responds that she named him Lotin because it means "brave" in the ancient Telecortexian language.<ref name=eg115>{{YPREF|G115}}</ref> |

− | On December 27, 2011, Lotin was severely injured on a mission to Earth to investigate Khyber and the Blast Masters. Seeing as he would one day do "great things," Paradox brought him to the Infinity Pool to heal his otherwise mortal wounds. Unfortunately, the pool took away his sanity and made him want power, more than the power he had experienced while in the pool. He soon discovered the existence of an all-powerful crystal and began his search for it. |
