History[]
Before When It Started, Laika was a slave alongside Artemis under the Captain. According to himself, Laika was raised by Jules.
Events of Sol 10[]
After the death of his master and companions, he declares Sol Masquerade his master on his journey out to California.
Appearance[]
Straight from Sol 10:
This man, Laika, wears a heavy suit of armor, red and bronze in color. His helmet is a massive hemisphere emerging from the neck, with a circular smooth black visor over where the face would be. Every time he talks, a red circle appears and disappears in the center of the visor.
I need to expand upon that, don't I?
Personality[]
Laika is loyal and obedient above all else, a trait for which he has gained a recurring position as Sol's "watch dog". He is observant, yet most of his observation's don't go too far because of Sol and Laika's low intelligence.
Relations[]
Laika sees Sol as his owner and slavemaster, much to Sol's dismay.
He seems close to the Omnitrix, as she is the only remnant of his pre-Szilard life.
Equipment[]
Laika's only equipment is his armor. What lies beneath the armor? No one knows.
Of course, this armor is very well equipped. It comes with multiple (meaning at least two) rocket launchers, rocket boosters, legs, and miniguns. Unfortunately, since Laika does have guns for hands, he lacks the ability to interact with most physical objects (aside from shooting them).
Trivia[]
- Laika has no relation to the communist space dog.
- Laika's biggest inspirations personality-wise were Claptrap from Borderlands and Speedwagon from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, while his biggest inspirations design-wise were Ruckus from Paladins and another source that I mus thave made up in my head in preschool because I can't source this thing's existence for the life of me.
- Laika was not inspired by the 21 Pilots song "Guns For Hands" as much as I'd like to tell you that he was.
