Kevin Ethan Levin is a Human/Osmosian hybrid. He first appeared in Kevin 11 in the series Rewri-10.
Appearance[]
Kevin is a thin and scrawny boy with shoulder-length black hair, pale skin, and dark brown eyes with black-discolored marks around them (a sign that Kevin has recently absorbed energy). He wears a torn black T-shirt, black studded armbands, brown cargo pants, black boots, and a padlock necklace which is a spoil from his first crime: stealing a bike and using it to run away from home. After absorbing an Omnitrix feedback, Kevin was able to transform into exact copies of all of the unlocked aliens, missing an Omnitrix symbol.
Personality[]
Due to a complicated childhood and having supernatural abilities at a young age, Kevin exhibited psychopathic tendencies and was willing to hurt/kill anyone for his personal gain. This mentality stemmed from being treated like a 'freak' by his peers and family, and was only exacerbated by the negative mental side effects he experienced whenever he absorbed too much energy. This caused Kevin to live with many insecurities about himself; he would embrace his 'freak' title while also being paranoid of other people using it against him. His paranoia progressed to the point of considering everyone to be his enemy because, as he put it, "Nobody's innocent! They just haven't had the chance to make fun of me yet!". Kevin thus rejected society at a young age, and would commit various crimes and acts of violence against innocents. One telling instance of his cruelty was when he attempted to ram a money train into another train carrying passengers, and simply parroted the phrase "no pain, no gain" at the thought of all the innocent lives that would be lost.
History[]
Before Rewri-10[]
Kevin's family life was... complicated to say the least, his actual father is unknown, his first step-father, Devin Levin died when he was young and his most recent step-father, Harvey Hackett was abusive to both him and his step-mother leading to Kevin lashing out in several ways, both at home and in school, getting into several street fights and getting a rather impressive street cred at a young age however the bullying still didn't stop and so he ran away from home, stealing a bike and it's padlock, wearing it around his neck as a symbol of his first crime and went to live on the street.
Rewri-10[]
Kevin was first encountered by Ben in an arcade, where, after befriending him, he was assaulted by bullies and saved by XLR8. The two attempted to steal a video game from a warehouse and got caught by the police, forcing Ben to reveal the Omnitrix to him in order to escape. The two subsequently formed a partnership to use their respective powers for personal gain; however, when Kevin rigs two trains (one carrying money and one carrying people) to collide, uncaring that the crash would most likely result in the deaths of several hundred people, Ben suffers a crisis of conscience and breaks off their partnership.
Ben transformed into Ball Weevil instead of transforming into Humungousaur, to stop Kevin, but to even the odds, Kevin grabbed onto Ball Weevil and absorbed his DNA, transforming him into an incomplete version of the Insectoid and transforming Ben into Chromastone. When Ben foils Kevin's plans and escapes, Kevin leaves to use his powers to get revenge on the bullies that tormented him. However, his powers disappear and he transforms back into to his normal form.
When XLR8 showed up to stop Kevin, Kevin absorbed XLR8' DNA, transformed him into an incomplete version of the Kineceleran and transforming Ben into Humungousaur. As Humungousaur and Kevin fought, Ben wins and, after reverting back into Ben, offers Kevin a new home and a chance to be a good guy. Kevin agrees to reform and go with Ben, but reveals he lied and tries to take the Omnitrix off of Ben. Feedback from it transforms Kevin back to normal and appears to have removed the powers he absorbed. He escapes and at the end of the episode it is revealed that he still has the alien's powers and takes it out on his step-father.
Powers and Abilities[]
As an Osmosian, Kevin is capable of absorbing energy from any source.
After absorbing energy, Kevin can channel energy through his hands to manipulate technology, discharge it as energy blasts, or physically enhance his body to speed up cellular regeneration, increase his strength, or recover from injuries at an accelerated rate. However, the energy will dissipate over time or through excessive use, so he is required to recharge.
However, if Kevin absorbs energy, the energy will cause Kevin to become mentally unstable. Storing energy for long periods of time will worsen his instability. This mainly occurs in Osmosians who absorb energy very often but cannot control it due to inexperience and lack of skill. Energy absorption can sometimes easily turn into an addiction.
Similar to his ability to absorb energy, by absorbing the DNA, metabolism, and life force of other life forms, Kevin can use it as nourishment to sustain his health and strength. Absorbing all of someone's energy will kill them. Kevin can use the energy to acquire the creature's powers and undergoes mutation to accommodate the absorbed abilities. This ability can also be used to combine the DNA of two beings.
Despite complete access to any of these absorbed abilities at anytime, they aren't as strong as their pure forms, as they are only about 1/10 their full power.
Kevin has some noticeable skill in brawling which he gained during his years as a runaway.
Kevin is very smart, but his formal education has been erratic. He knows a lot about some things, and absolutely nothing about others.
Weaknesses[]
While Kevin can absorb all sorts of compatible matter, he cannot take too much of it. Such as with Ben's Omnitrix, where he became mentally unstable and lost all accounts of control from all the alien DNA absorbed. This process of absorbing alien DNA also takes a toll on Kevin's energy as it leaves him tired after reverting back.
