Kevin Ethan Levin, more commonly known by his hero name "Kev 'Leven" was an anchor and a hero of the Omniverse prior to his death and the destruction of his home universe in Ben 10: Beyond Bellwood. He is a human from Earth in the Earth-CDXI.411 universe.
He was the main character of his own series Kev 11 prior to the erasure of its continuity.
Appearance[]
Kev 'Leven is known to be 21 years old, however he clearly outwardly appears to be in his mid-forties at least. He has long black hair and a cross-shaped scar on his chin. He wears the Unlimited Omnitrix on his left wrist.
His shirt is custom made, being charcoal black with red sleeves and red trimming.
Personality[]
Kevin's personality changed greatly during his time as the wielder of the Omnitrix, transforming him into an honourable and heroic man not above a bit of showboating. He took great pride in his work and put a lot of his time and effort into protecting others. He had a great appreciation for his fanbase.
In Life and Flesh however, he was dejected and maddened by the knowledge that the Flesh had successfully forced their way into his universe and he could not save it. Still, he took solace in meeting this universe's version of Ben Tennyson and saved the young man's life in his final moments.
Powers and Abilities[]
On his own merit, Kevin is a skilled fight and engineer. He grew up around cars even before leaving home and he became an effective brawler before acquiring the Omnitrix.
He has also learned over the years how to be an effective diplomat and a tactical thinker.
Equipment[]
Unlimited Omnitrix[]
The defining item of Kev's life is the Unlimited Omnitrix around which he built his legacy. This device allows him to scan and become just about any sapient life form and speak any language the device has sufficient understanding of or ability to decipher by approximation and context.
Biography[]
Before finding the Omnitrix, Kevin was a petty, cruel, and rebellious young boy who had abandoned his home and lived among the shadows of New York City. He often resorted to theft, robbery, and property damage wherever he felt he could get away with it. His disposition for taking whatever he wanted culminated in him being the first to arrive at the crater holding the Omnitrix when it landed in Central Park.
Kev 11[]
Although he spent his first few months learning how to use the device for harm, he eventually came to realise its potential for good. As he learned how to rebuild his life he began to use the device to survive on his own power as much as he could, using his aliens to expand the range of what he could eat and where he could sleep, until eventually his good deeds allowed him to reintegrate into society as its protector.
Kev's horizons rapidly expanded, as he became the protector of New York, the Earth, the Milky Way Galaxy, and so forth. Eventually moved to Bellwood, as its rapidly developing Undertown made it the epicentre of a number of alien-related incidents that he was uniquely equipped to solve.
Shortly prior to encountering the Flesh for the first time, Kev used his aliens Dark Matter and Bootleg to upgrade his Omnitrix to include a new Unlimited functionality.
As his encounters with the Flesh became more frequent, he joined forces with Professor Paradox to fight the Flesh across the Edge of the Omniverse in hopes that together they might find a method of removing the Flesh from a universe they had already gained a foothold in. Unfortunately, they were not successful. Kev returned to his own universe, Earth-CDXI.411, to fight a losing battle against the Flesh there.
Prior to Beyond Bellwood[]
Kev prevented the Highbreed Omnicide of the galaxy, an event that would later be turned into a movie titled 'A Thousand Doors to Death'.
Ben 10: Beyond Bellwood[]
Using Quadsmack and Thunderplus, Kev destroyed a Flesh Monstrosity in Bellwood before fleeing towards Undertown in the episode Life and Flesh. He was followed by Ben Tennyson, who he then confronted. After explaining the cosmic situation and becoming surrounded by Flesh Bodies, Kev forced Ben to take the Omnitrix- activating the Lifeboat Protocol and transforming Ben into an Alien he had not publicly used. He was last seen by Ben and the Murmur being overwhelmed by the Flesh as he fought them off with Last Resort.
Ben's Tantabus took Kev's image in Ghost in the Dream. Although it tried to torment Ben for his inability to save his hero, this broke the illusion and Ben fought the Tantabus to the dream's end.
