Kabutian are an extraterrestrial species of humanoid metallic beetles from the planet Beet.
Appearance[]
The Kabutian are humanoid beetles who's primary color are azure, but some also appear in different colors, like black and gold, with these two represented by other members of the species. The azure ones have a black beetle symbol on their middle chest, their belly are silver with three cables on them, their forearms are azure with black cables that links their shoulders to the wrists, black hands with four sharp fingers, their legs are also azure that have black cables that link the hip to the knee and black feet with two sharp fingers. Their arms are silver with three black cables on them, they have a silver belt on their waist that have two cables on each side of it, their thighs and each side of their shins are silver and don't have cables. Their heads have an azure Japanese rhinoceros beetle horn that resembles a letter T, mini horns on the middle of their horns and a silver metallic mouth. His back, shins and wrists have silver wings, red and silver boosters and blades inside of them and they have red eyes.
The black Kabutian are similar to the azure Kabutian, with some differences. Their middle chest have a red crystalline hexagon with a silver metallic contour around it, their shoulders, wrists and knees are yellow, their hands and feet are orange, their horns are black and modelled after a Longhorn beetle, their have four black and yellow wings instead of two, black blades and boosters and their eyes are orange.
The gold Kabutian are similar to the azure Kabutian, with some differences. The silver in their bodies are black, their belts are golden with a green rectangle in the middle with a gold contour, their hands and feet green and like a normal Kabutian, their horns are modelled after a Japanese rhinoceros beetle with golden horns that resembles the letter T, they have two gold and black wings, their blades and boosters are also gold and black and they have visor-like black eyes.
Biology[]
Their planet is known as "Planet Academia" because most habitats are either students or teachers. Most students are azure Kabutian, but black and gold Kabutians also are students, with the black being usually teachers and gold are the principal of the schools. They welcome other species to study on their schools and some subjects in these schools is learning about other species.
Powers and Abilities[]
Their primary ability is to manipulate energy that can be used in many ways. Some of these are: Shooting energy balls from their hands, shoot energy blasts from their hands, horns or mouth, energize their fists or feet etc. They can energize their horns for powerful attacks, launch an energy wave from their bodies or energy explosions.
They can use their horns to impale, tackle or launch things.
Their secondary ability is manipulating the cables in their bodies, like controlling machines or robots by inserting their cables inside them and by putting too much energy on these machines, they explode because of the energy. Also they can use their cables as whips and hack technology.
Because of their metallic bodies, they are pretty strong and durable and their mouths are pretty strong and sharp, capable of biting and crushing metal.
Inside their bodies, they have wings, on their back, blades, on their wrists, and boosters, on their shins, giving they the ability to fly, slash and fly faster because of the boosters.
They can dig faster because of their sharp hands and feet and they can dig with their horns.
They can slash with their feet and hands.
Weaknesses[]
If they're hit by water, they will get paralyzed because of their metallic bodies. Also they are very slow and can be lift by magnetic waves.
Others can grab them by their horns and thrown they away.
Their energy blasts can be reflected back at them and when two energy balls hit each other, they cause an explosion. Also their energy explosions can hit allies and cause serious damage.
They aren't able to control machines that have virus because they can get infected by them, going berserk.
Their cables are vulnerable to water and if when they are hit by it, they electrocute a Kabutian.
Their blades, wings and boosters can get ripped of by strength or metallic waves, but will rebuild with time.
They can't dig through mud and their horn can get stuck in sticky things.

- The Kabutain species was inspired by the Metal Heroes series, Juukou B-Fighter and B-Fighter Kabuto, with the azure Kabutian being inspired by Blue Beet, the black Kabutian was inspired by Black Beet and gold Kabutian being inspired by B-Fighter Kabuto.
- Their planet primarily having schools is a reference to most B-Fighter heroes being students and is similar to Academy City from Toaru Majutsu no Index.
