Introducing Ben 23 is the twenty-third episode of Omniverse: At Night.
Plot[]
The episode begins with Ben (who had transformed into Eatle) and Max chasing after Liam, who had stolen eggs. The chicken was about to make his escape as Eatle, who had transformed back, transforms into Swampfire as he would throw a fireball which hits Liam, sending him tumbling over. Swampfire is recorded by a Kineceleran female in which Swampfire would pose in front of the camera, acting silly and goofy, until Liam fights back by firing laser blasts from a laser gun he had stolen moments prior. Swampfire would then focus back on the fight as he'd then defeat Liam, as Max runs in and thanks Ben for taking him down. Swampfire changes back as Ben wishes to find Blukic and Driba, as the scene transitions to Blukic and Driba, working on something before Ben calls them for their mission on finding the illusive 23rd Mr. Smoothy.
Ben, Blukic and Driba arrive to a weird looking building that had been showing signs of being the illusive 23rd Mr. Smoothy, but confuses Ben entirely, before falling in due to the store actually being a dimension hopping location created by someone unfamiliar. The three are introduced to Hokestar just after Cow and Chicken make their leave. Hokestar would ramble on about how much he has been wanting to perfect an elixr capable of giving him the ability of making the generator work in order to allow the Mr. Smoothy to travel to different dimensions. They soon arrive at Bellwood, but it looked different. Everything was... blue.
They are exposed to Tetrax, as Ben wishes to get info as to what was going on, just before they all get ambushed by Ben 23, who transforms into Freezelizard, a more blue tinted version of Ben's Arctiguana. Freezelizard would attack Tetrax as Ben would take cover, wanting to intervene, thinking it would change the future, with Blukic informing him that it is dimension travel, not time travel, as Ben would intervene by transforming into Spidermonkey, shooting his webs at Freezelizard, who demanded to know who Spidermonkey was, giving Tetrax time to overpower Freezelizard, who would trip him up by making the floor slippery with his ice breath. Climbing onto the roof of the building, Freezelizard would knock Tetrax off the building just as after he climbed up, with Spidermonkey climbing onto a lamppost and watching what was going down. Freezelizard eventually defeats Tetrax by chucking a huge barrel on top, eventually transforming back, claiming victory, as Spidermonkey jumps back to Blukic, Driba and Hokestar, transforming back.
Suddenly, the huge darrel would tear apart as Tetrax would make an escape before Ben (who had transformed into XLR8) could catch him. Ben 23 would question Ben for the second time, as XLR8 transforms back, revealing how he has an Omnitrix also, which makes Ben 23 excited to see someone just like him. The scene cuts to Tetrax teleporting back to a secret location, as a robotic drone would talk about his failure to catch Ben 23, to which Tetrax tells them he'd need some assistance. The scene cuts again to Ben and Ben 23 inside Mr. Gyro, with Ben 23 explaining that he's in charge, and offers Ben gyro, with Ben claiming he's a smoothy guy, as Ben 23 is grossed out. Ben 23 explains how he destroyed a Mr. Smoothy store by stepping on it as Giant-Manster, Ben's variant of Way Big. With Ben wanting info on any other big bad guys like Vilgax, Ben 23 claims he doesn't know Vilgax, as Ben was relieved.
Sometime later, Ben 23 shows Ben the Tower 23, which was going to reveal his new aliens, with Ben claiming that Alien 24 looks like Feedback. Ben 23 would go on and ramble that he unlocks new aliens and puts aliens away for a big reveal, until Ben would get a miss call from Max, who claimed to have been worried about him, claiming that he had recently seen some surveilance footage of Ben slipping into a building that phased out of existence. Ben 23 is distraught at the voice of Max, revealing the bombshell that his version of Max died before he received the Omnitrix, which he calls the Hero Watch. A sudden explosion occurs, with the bank being robbed by a group of Orange Offenders, as Ben would tell Ben 23 to go after them, but Ben 23 would act childish and tell Ben to do it instead, making Ben transform into Shocksquatch, as Ben 23 claims he already has him.
Shocksquatch runs over and chases after the Orange Offenders, who were getting away via their car, just before Shocksquatch takes apart a lamppost and uses its metal frame to electrocute the vehicle due to metal being conductive. Ben 23 runs in and congratulates him, as the scene would transition to Ben showcasing some of his aliens, like Four Arms, that Ben 23 calls Handyman. Jetray, that Ben 23 claims he doesn't yet have, but calls him Fish Kite. Spidermonkey, that Ben 23 calls Mr. Monkey, and finally Ditto, that Ben 23 calls Lotter Otter, eventually leading Ditto to transform back into Ben. Suddenly, a blue laser is blasted at their direction as SevenSeven jumps down, just in time for Ben 23 to protect Ben as Rollaway, Ben 23's version of Cannonbolt.
Rollaway would transform back as soon as SevenSeven would start firing energy beams, with Ben asking Ben 23 to go Chromastone, to which Ben 23 would correct him by calling him Prism, as he'd transform into Prism. Prism is shot by SevenSeven's energy beams as he'd absorb them, just in time for Ben to transform into an alien that can combat the Sotoraggian, by becoming TenTen. TenTen would tackle SevenSeven while Prism is ambushed by Tetrax and Azmuth (in his mecha suit). Prism tells TenTen that they've got company as they'd need a better plan of attack.
The two heroes transform back as they'd transform into Fastcat, the Dimension 23 variant of Fasttrack, and Brainstorm, as they'd begin to fight against The Intellectuary. SevenSeven and Tetrax chase after Brainstorm while Fastcat would dash to Azmuth in his mecha suit and would smash it open with his bare hands, seeing Azmuth inside, meanwhile Brainstorm would dodge several laser attacks as well as crystal projectiles from Tetrax and SevenSeven, retaliating by using his electrokinetic beams coming from his cranium. As soon as Brainstorm would levitate from the ground and get to a better fighting location, Fastcat would take Azmuth out of his suit and plan to tear him apart, just before Brainstorm swoops in and transforms back, seeing this and snapping at Ben 23 (who had transformed back).
Ben snaps at Ben 23 and tells him that the little alien was the one who created the Omnitrix, that Ben 23 calls the Hero Watch. Azmuth explains how he intended it to be for Max as Ben 23 snaps and tells them that he is dead, getting upset. Azmuth would assume that Ben had the same thing happen to him, but Ben assures him that his Max is still alive. Ben 23 apologises to Azmuth as well as Tetrax and SevenSeven, as they would forgive him, and help him become the hero his grandfather would've wanted to see.
Returning to his dimension, Ben is greeted to Max and Rook, who were glad to see him safe and sound. Ben tells them he met a version of him and claimed that he had a lot of learning to do since his Max isn't around. The episode ends with Ben wishing to meet Ben 23 again sometime in the future, while they leave the scene as the camera pans to the sky.
