Heatblast is an alien used by Ben Tennyson with the Unlimited Omnitrix. He was the first alien Ben named for himself. He appears in Ben 10: Beyond Bellwood and originates from the Earth-CDXI.411 universe.

Kevin's version of this alien was named Hotshot.
Ben's Unlimited version of this alien is Unlimited Heatblast.

Appearance

Heatblast is a humanoid alien made of glowing yellow magma and deep brown rock encasing his liquid core. His head is consumed by fire, leaving only his sharp and angular face visible. The Omnitrix dial is placed in the centre of his chest.

Powers and Abilities

Heatblast is a very powerful pyrokinetic alien, able to generate intense heat and flames as well as manipulate the fire around himself. The fire he generates can also be built up into an explosive form, either allowing him to throw firebombs or become one.

By focusing his fire directly beneath himself he can propel himself into a primitive and limited form of flight.

As shown by Heatblast holding his own in a fist fight against an Avatar of the Flesh in Life and Flesh, this alien possesses a much greater degree of strength than an ordinary human.

Being a non-biological lifeform, Heatblast can withstand physical contact with the Flesh with ease. Furthermore his lack of touch sensitivity helps him mentally withstand such an unpleasant experience.

Weaknesses

Heatblast's powers are greatly weakened when the fires of his body are subdued, for example by being underwater.

History

Heatblast was first used, and named, in Life and Flesh. Ben used the Omnitrix without checking which alien he would become and was able to use Heatblast to fend off an Avatar of the Flesh and a Flesh Monstrsoity. He then thawed out the interdimensional portal device, which Professor Paradox used to banish the Flesh elsewhere.

Ben panicked and turned into Heatblast in The Genocide Gene when he discovered that Conway was already dead and had been ghosting. He purged the Flesh in the area and allowed himself and Rosemary to pass through to the command centre.

• Unbeknownst to Ben, who assumed the alien he received in the moment was random, Heatblast being his first manual transformation is an act of cosmic poetry. Almost every Ben Tennyson in the Ben 10 Multiverse has Heatblast as their first alien. Those who do not tend to still have a fire alien as their first.
