Feeling Frigid, Humungous and Swampy is the thirty-third episode of Omniverse: At Night.

Plot

The episode begins during the night of Undertown. A stray Panuncian is causing some noise to the civilians, but does not intend to harm anyone. By eating garbage from trashcans, the Panuncian is ambushed quickly by Khyber, who notices that the Panuncian is wounded. Tending the wound, and attaching the Nemetrix onto the animal via a collar, Khyber insists on using the Panuncian to hunt down any members of any race that is a perfect match to each predator.

The next scene opens to Ben and Rook chilling outside Burger Shack as Ben would eat a few handfuls of Chilli Fries, while Rook expresses his discontent towards them, claiming that they're not exactly his favourite. Ben would promise Rook that he'd take him to a different fast food place whenever they have the free time. Upon receiving a call by Max, who wishes for Ben and Rook to arrive at Plumber HQ, Ben and Rook finish their quick break as they would head over to Plumber HQ in the Proto-TRUK. Just a few short minutes of driving and they arrive at Plumber HQ. Once inside the HQ proper, Max would inform Ben and Rook that somebody took a wild stray cat as their own as Ben wouldn't think of it being as much of an issue. Rook asks what kind of cat as Max responds that the species is a Panuncian, predators of Splixons, being Ditto's species. Ben is surprised to know about Ditto's natural predator, while skimming through his aliens to find Ditto. Rook is unfamiliar with the Panuncian while Max offers both Ben and Rook to investigate, to which they agree on the offer.

The scene transitions to Ben and Rook inside the Proto-TRUK as Rook was driving down the tunnel to exit Plumber HQ while Ben was still confused about how he never knew about Ditto having a natural predator. Rook would think that anything to do with Ben's aliens and natural predators has something to do with Khyber, with Ben thinking that it makes the most logical sense. Suddenly, a Necrofriggian swoops down in a panic and smacks into the Proto-TRUK, startling both Ben and Rook which causes the Proto-TRUK to lose momentum and swerve rapidly before Rook manages to put it at a stop. The Necrofriggian gets up from the window as he begs for Ben and Rook's help. Ben recognises him as Fridge, and asks him about the other two, being Swamps and Hugh. Fridge tells them that he and the others are being attacked by a wicked alien hunter and a big crimson cat. Ben immediately guesses them as Khyber and the Panuncian as he asks where they all are. Fridge reveals their location as Undertown, as Ben tells Fridge to hop in, while he and Rook make their way to Undertown.

In Undertown, Hugh and Swamps are fleeing from Tyrannopede as Swamps would throw his fireballs in the predator's direction. Upon hearing the Proto-TRUK's wheels screeching on the concrete, Rook tells the two to get in as Swamps and Hugh would get into the Proto-TRUK. Ben sees the Tyrannopede racing towards the vehicle as he would tell Rook to go as fast as possible, even telling him to activate its flying mode if necessary. Once Rook manages to zoom out of Undertown as fast as possible, Ben looks out of his window as Tyrannopede would continue to chase after them, even reverting to its normal form for a much faster speed. Rook activates the flight mode as they would reach the higher ground, making a proper escape. Swamps thanks them both for rescuing them, and thanks Fridge for getting Ben's attention.

Ben and Rook make a stop in a warehouse where Ben would ask Fridge, Hugh and Swamps why they were being targeted by Khyber, as Hugh would assume the reason why they're being hunted is because of how the Panuncian can turn into their natural predators. Ben claims that Hugh's statement is a solid argument as he would tell the trio that he promises to keep an eye on them in case if either Khyber or the Panuncian goes after them. With Hugh thanking Ben for his gratitude, Swamps asks where they would stay, as Ben would have to come up with an idea. The scene transitions to Undertown, as Ben would enter Argit's office. Argit is happy to see Ben around, as Ben would ask him if there was a place that Fridge, Swamps and Hugh could stay. Argit would reveal that he rented an alien hotel somewhere further down Undertown that the three aliens could make themselves comfortable. With Ben exiting Argit's office and telling the three aliens that Argit has a hotel further down Undertown, the three aliens would make their way to the hotel, as Ben would call it a night, hoping to get some rest. Unbeknownst to Ben, Rook, and the three aliens, Khyber observed from afar, vowing to catch them when they least expect it.

The scene cuts to the next morning, with Ben still asleep. He is woken up shortly after by Rook, who enters his room as he wishes to talk. Rook reveals how he is skeptical about Khyber and the Panuncian, believing that Khyber hasn't ambushed them at all yesterday night. Ben would come up with a plan. Ben asks Rook if he is capable of keeping an eye on the three aliens while he goes on a lookout for the Panuncian. Rook admits that the plan would be risky, but is willing to go with it until both Khyber and the Panuncian are defeated. With Ben getting out of bed and getting dressed, Ben and Rook would begin their plan, as they would go their separate ways, with Rook going to see to the aliens, while Ben transforms into Wildmutt as he would keep a look out for the Panuncian.

Upon searching for the Panuncian, Wildmutt is ambushed by Khyber, who attacks from behind, which then results in Wildmutt switching to a new alien. Ben is surprised once he sees himself as his new transformation, taking on the appearance of a spongy-like alien, calling himself Bungee Sponge. Upon seeing Ben's new transformation, Khyber throws another light attack as he is caught by Bungee Sponge's body, just before Bungee Sponge would grab onto Khyber and slingshot him across the road, sending him tumbling further down Ben's house. Bungee Sponge reacts to this by wishing he hadn't moved on from this alien when he was a kid, before stancing himself ready for another attack drawn from Khyber. As Khyber begins to swing another attack in Bungee Sponge's direction, the camera switches to Rook driving to Undertown in his Proto-TRUK. Rook is still skeptical about Khyber's sudden return after his teamup with Malware and Dr. Psychobos as he would soon park his truck outside the hotel. Upon entering, he catches his attention to the rooms being nothing but trashed, showing signs that the Panuncian had broken in. Rook grabs his Plumber Badge as he notifies Ben about the three aliens and how the Panuncian had caught them. Bungee Sponge reacts to this information with terror as Khyber overhears, soon fleeing the scene while Bungee Sponge uses his elastic-like sponge tentrils to grab onto Khyber, who grabs one of his many pieces of technology to electrocute and cause Bungee Sponge to transform back.

Once Khyber had fled the scene, Rook communicates through his Plumber Badge that he has a plan to sneak in to Khyber's ship. Rook instructs Ben to also sneak into the ship and take Khyber on while he evacuates the three aliens, as Ben would go along with the plan. Upon running down the road where his house was in the local area, and then transforming into Astrodactyl in order to fly over to Khyber's ship, the camera cuts to Rook on top of the ship as he would crawl around in order to find a secret entry way for him to get inside. Upon sneaking inside, Astrodactyl flies in and transforms back, landing next to Rook, who was surprised to see Ben here so soon, with Ben responding by wanting to get this done as fast as possible. Ben and Rook begin to traverse through Khyber's ship as they would then barge in through the main deck, exposing Khyber, the Panuncian, Swamps, Hugh and Fridge, as Ben would transform into another new alien: Crabtastic.

Khyber commands the Panuncian to attack as Crabtastic would command Rook to evacuate the three aliens, while Crabtastic would be attacked by the Panuncian who transformed into Vicetopus who wraps their tentacle around the crab alien in an attempt to crush them. Using his 360 vision, Crabtastic finds an opening as he would manage to break the clutches of Brainstorm's predator as he would then strike Vicetopus, soon going to strike Khyber. Quick changing into a small, winged alien, Khyber is freaked out by Ben's change to Pesky Dust, as he would be cornered by the Nemuina. Pesky Dust strikes Khyber with his sleepy dust as Khyber is put to sleep. Upon seeing Vicetopus strike at the Nemuina, Pesky Dust zips through as he manages to swipe hold of the Nemetrix, watching Vicetopus transform back into the Panuncian, who continued to strike, while Pesky Dust flies to Rook and the others.

Rook is seen with the three aliens as Pesky Dust transforms back into Ben and tells Rook that he got hold of the Nemetrix and put Khyber to sleep, though it wouldn't hold him for long. Rook takes the Nemetrix as suddenly, the ship began to rumble. The ship takes off as the group would drop to the ground. Khyber is woken from his slumber as he would attempt to take the group into the air. With Rook suggesting Ben to take him on once again, Ben accepts the plan as Fridge would get Hugh to bust a way out of the ship. Fridge grabs Rook and Swamps, while grabbing Hugh with his feet as he flies out of the ship with them holding on. Ben runs to the main dock as he transforms into Rath, vowing to finish their previous fight to which he lost when Khyber was in a team with Malware and Psychobos. Rath and Khyber pounce at each other as Khyber would warn Rath about the move that subdued him a while back, as Rath would strike him with the claw and throw him against the wall. With the Panuncian joining in, Rath would get outnumbered as he would freeze the Panuncian with a brief quick change from Rath, to Arctiguana, back into Ben.

Ben transforms into NRG as he would fire his molten lava energy directly towards the controls of the ship as it would initiate a self-destruct sequence, as NRG switches into Jetray and hopes that Khyber makes sure his ship doesn't crash again, as he makes an easy escape. With Jetray landing next to Rook and the other aliens, Jetray transforms back as he watches Khyber's ship come crashing down as he is glad that Khyber wouldn't be around to fight him and the others anymore. Fridge, Swamps and Hugh thank Ben and Rook for saving them from Khyber and the Panuncian, as Ben would be happy to know that they're safe. Rook offers to take the three aliens back to their hotel rooms, as they accept the offer, while Ben mentions that he'd be heading home to see his parents for lunch, as the episode ends with Rook offering Ben a ride and take him home, as Ben accepts the offer.

  • Ben regrets ever moving on from Bungee Sponge, which was what Matt Wayne claimed happened five years prior to Omniverse. However, it is unknown whether or not the same could be said about Somnambulizard and Skidmarx.
