Fastcat is the Hero Watch's DNA sample of a Citrakayah from the planet Chalybeas in Omniverse: At Night and is the Dimension 23 equivalent of Fasttrack.
Appearance[]
Fastcat looks identical to Fasttrack in Omniverse, except his blue fur is recoloured a pastel cyan, with icy, pastel lavender undertones. The green portions on his suit are recoloured blue, with the blue portions extending to his stylized running shoes.
The Hero Watch is located on his chest.
Powers and Abilities[]
Much like Speedyquick, Fastcat has enhanced speed, agility and reflexes. Fastcat is able to run fast enough to outrun a missile created by Dr. Animo, forcing Animo to increase the power of the missile in an attempt to make it outspeed Fasttrack. More notably, Fasttrack was able to gain more ground while chasing a flying Darkstar than Helen was able to while trying to outrun Vilgax's homing optic lasers.
Fastcat possesses enhanced strength, as Fasttrack was able to carry both Magister Hulka and Tack to safety, as well as Gwen and Kevin while in Legerdomain.
Fastcat possesses enhanced durability.
Fastcat can jump to great heights while running.
Weaknesses[]
Opponents with good reflexes and reaction time can counter Fastcat's speed and land a blow on him, as seen when Fasttrack ran straight into Sir George's outstretched arm, badly stunning him.
Fastcat can have a hard time stopping if he runs too quickly.
Being a speed-based alien, Fastcat shares similar weaknesses with Speedyquick. For example, he is unable to run on certain surfaces like ice, which can make him slip very easily.
Being a feline-based alien, Fastcat can be controlled by people who have the ability to control cats, like Nyancy Chan, depending on how prevalent his feline attributes are.
History[]
- Fastcat first appeared in Introducing Ben 23, where he fought The Intellectuary with Ben Prime, who was in the form of Brainstorm. Fastcat soon snatches Azmuth 23 from his mecha suit.
Appearances[]
- Introducing Ben 23 (first appearance)
Etymology[]
Fastcat's name is a combination of the words "fast", referencing his enhanced speed; and "cat", referencing his feline nature.
Trivia[]
- Matt Wayne speculates that Fasttrack is physically stronger than XLR8 (and by extension, Fastcat is physically stronger than Speedyquick), stating that "Fasttrack can probably lift more".
